Didn't get to try the food, but it has a great, intelligent taplist, with fun staff. Great vibe and location. Super cool place to hang out. $1 off for happy hour. Food looks appetizing, and probably close to four stars. I'll visit again and report back.

With all the five-star reviews on Yelp I thought I'd give Pour a try. This restaurant seemed very "forced" to me, like they are trying way too hard to be trendy and hipster. Over-priced drinks, over-priced food & over-hyped reviews on Yelp do not mix well. Don't Pour me another... I'm leaving and I'm not coming back!

Over-priced & under-whelming... I wish I would have saved my money & went somewhere else. Staff was nice but the owner kind of came off like an arrogant ass when he spoke to people including customers & employees. Lots of good reviews for this place but honestly, I don't see it... I've had much better for much less at many different places around Lancaster. I won't be going back.

Great outdoor seating while enjoying some perfect summer weather. Scallops were delicious.

Love this spot! It has a great outdoor patio and inside the coolest "VIP" social seating nook ever. They have a great selection of cool wines and unique beer brews. I have a glass of Lyeth Cabernet and a sip of the Sofie by Goose Island Beer Co. Both are great picks, but the show stopper was the duck fat fries. OMG, I was in heaven. Will definitely be back with more friends soon!

I really wanted to like this place, really really. When I heard about their duck fat fries, I called them immediately to make a reservation.

I took my family here for Father's day, expecting a nice family dinner. This place is not a sit-down dinner place. Their menu was about 5 pages and only the first page had food; three quarters of which, were appetizers. I guess I should have figured this since the name of the restaurant is Pour.

We ordered three cheeses and the wild boar salami, which were okay. I was expecting more of a selection of cheeses as well as entrees. Since they had a charcuterie menu. There were only six entrees on the menu - however they were more of an appetizer. We ordered the scallops, duck and rabbit. The duck was amazing and I'd come back just for that, the scallops tasted good, however didn't have the nice sear you'd expect from scallops done well. The rabbit was cooked 3 ways; fried, braised and chilled. The braised leg was not even edible without hands, which we were not about to do.

The duck fat fries were underwhelming; a little soggy and lacked flavor but the garlic aioli was good... very disappointing.

The selection on wine, beer, and crafted cocktails is impressive. We shared a cheese board which was superb, and the bartender Matt was outstanding.

Beautiful spot - tucked away off the road. They had some fantastic wines on their list by the glass. Great cocktails!

I enjoyed the food, though my pork was a little dry. Portions for entrees are definitely on the smaller side, so keep that in mind when ordering.

Note that the kitchen closes at 8pm on a Sunday, and they are very strict on that. If you want to experience a three course meal, start a little earlier.

Would definitely go back to try more things from their menu!

I've been to POUR twice now and I have the same mixed reaction to it. This is NOT a place to go for "dinner" but to sample wine, beer and light food that accompanies it. If you are a big eater, you're either likely to go away hungry or with a hefty bill. This is a "tapas" kind of place. They serve meats and cheeses in one-ounce portions at $3 to $5 an ounce. There are a few larger plates (POUR Plates). The offerings certainly are unique. The wait staff probably spends more than the average amount of time explaining the items on the menu. Here's my advice: go there BEFORE you go to dinner elsewhere or later in the evening when you looking for an upscale "snack." For my recent visit, two drinks each, 4 or 5 meat and cheese samplings and two POUR plates set the two of us back $45 each (before tip).

Everything from start to finish was great. We were told this place was popular so we made a reservation and...get this...our table was ready and waiting for us when we showed up on time. Shocking, I know! No one said "just give us 10 minutes" or "have a seat at the bar" or anything like that.

The selection of beers, wines, and spirits was extensive but in no way intimidating. I ordered a Balvenie 12 yr and received a very, very generous pour. Later on I had a Flemish Sour Beer, which was a new experience for me but proved light and refreshing.

The appetizers were amazing. Selections of cheese and meats with warm bread. You can actually see the chef cut everything fresh.

For my entree I had this Hawaiian fish over risotto and the table shared some duck fat fries, which were just as yummy as they sound. My friends had the pork loin and duck, which were also pretty darn tasty.

For desert we had this interesting selection of ice cream that was made right on the premises. Chocolate, pine nut, molasses, and two others I cannot remember. Very creamy and not over laden with sugar. Great flavor.

Service was friendly and efficient and we had no issues taking our time and enjoying our meal. We sat by the bar and kitchen but it wasn't too loud or anything despite being full. They also have seating in an art gallery - I'm not talking about some tables surrounded by art, but an actual working art gallery during the day. Pretty neat actually.

I'm told Pour is open for Sunday brunch so I'd like to try that some day soon.

Bottom line: Go. Eat. Drink. Enjoy.

The selection of microbrews and wine is great. The atmosphere is nice and the service could not be friendlier...besides the creepy old manager/host. After sitting at the bar waiting for two friends to join us when they arrived there were no seats at the bar, so they stood to wait it out until someone got up, as we had before not only there but every other bar in Lancaster. He approaches us and told us we were not aloud to stand there and we would need to sit down at a table. After that he continually just watches the restaurant like a hawk and seems to be constantly looking over the patrons and employees shoulders. Makes for an uncomfortable night out!

Two of my favorite things are charcuterie and wine. Pour was built for me.

My wife and I tried EVERY meat and cheese on the charcuterie menu except for the blue cheese. They are all excellent. Our favorites were the Salame Rose, the Wild Boar Salami, and the Kinderhook cheese.

Nice wine selections, not extensive but well-rounded.

Our server was Stephani and she was good.

The place can be a little cramped but the food is spectacular. Prices are right for charcuterie.

Very nicely done.

Pour was an overall great experience. My boyfriend and I came for happy hour and we ordered all of the meat and cheeses, duck fat fries, and a few beers. Everything was amazing, as well as the service and atmosphere. We sat outside on the patio which was a great choice because it was so nice out. Being from Philly, the total check amount was a pleasant suprise! We will be back no doubt about it.

I waited a year before coming here, and I'm really sad I did. I should have driven down to Lancaster in my first month living in Pennsylvania. Hindsight, am I right?

This place is amazing. The interior is lovely - super comfortable, perfect lighting, clean, and just incredibly inviting. The staff is nice and knowledgable about what is on their menu. They know how to pace the meal - my charcuterie was not served alongside our entree as seems to be ever so common in Central PA - and their food is amazing. I think I'll come back and just order everything on the charcuterie as it was my favorite part. The cheese and meats we chose were amazing and served with super delicous warm baguette. We tried the filet - which was yummy with the carmelized onion puree. Better than any other steak I have had in the area for sure (but when you grow up around Jeff Ruby restaurants, you tend to have a bias towards steak. This wasn't at that level, but it was damn good even in comparison). The duck fat fries are in the category of best we've ever had. The garlic aioli is an amazing compliment. Seriously such an amazing dish.

The wine selection is obviously great, as is their craft beer selection. This makes it ncie for my husband and I - he prefers Belgian beers and I prefer wine, so getting a bottle doesn't make sense. I love that they bring samples of everything to try. I liked both of the wines I tried and got a glass of each during our meal.

Really just an adorable place in an adorable city. It could hold its own in a much larger city - it's just really a wonderful little gem.

While visiting town for the Eastern Winery Expo we were delighted to hear that Lancaster was celebrating Restaurant Week. After reading Yelp reviews of restaurants near our hotel (Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square) we magically found Pour.

There were three factors to my 5-star rating: ambiance, food and hospitality but there are three words to describe inner joy... Duck. Fat. Fries. Holy awesome. Our winemaker and I followed the Restaurant Week menu and we shared everything so that we could taste it all. They even allowed us to open our own wine to enjoy (which we shared with our new BFFs at the bar - Lancaster has the nicest people).

What we ate:

Charcuterie plate with Manchego & Sorrento ham
Textures of Sweet Potato
Sea Bass w/ Salsify & Brussels (they were nice enough to let us choose this dish even though it wasn't on the R.W. menu)
Ice Cream Trio (featuring Apricot, Pear & Arugula)
Chocolate Berry Bread Pudding

The food was amazing but even more outstanding was our bartender Matt; he was the epitome of customer service.

Let's just say that Pour knocked it out of the park.

A group of us had dinner at Pour for New Years Even dinner, we were unable to get into Fenz that night and decided to try Pour instead. There was 6 of us that night and I have to agree with a prior comment, the seating arrangements tend to be tight. We sat in the art gallery part (would like to sit closer to the bar next time..) which was interesting, not what we were expected - but nothing terrible. The food was very good, the Duck Fat Fries were delicious and the main entrees were great as well, I had the venison and my husband had a chicken dish. Staff was good and attentive, I would go back to visit Pour again!

I was visiting my sister and we decided to go to Pour, we did not have a reservation so we were going to wing it for seat at the bar. When I got there prior to my sister there was one lonesome seat at the bar and no one looked like they were leaving soon. The concierge was very helpful and knew we were waiting for a two seats so as others filed in with the same intentions to us he kept us in mind for first dibs on seats! after that we ordered some small plates and some drinks. Everything was very very good. The bar service was friendly and enthusiastic about his favorite selections and attentive to his whole busy bar. A destination place for me each time I visit Lancaster. In the summer they have an outdoor patio which i will look forward to drinking wine in during the First Friday Art tours.

We had dinner reservations for Pour on a weekday evening for 3 people. After arriving we were promptly seated in a table that was probably better suited for a party of 2. While there were other patrons at the restaurant, it wasn't busy enough where they couldn't have seated us at a larger table or pushed together an additional table. Aside from the odd seating arrangements, we were impressed with their menu and selection of beverages. We each ordered an assortment of plates and shared them family style. Dishes I remember fondly are the elk tartare and the lemon meyer/coconut custard.

The staff was friendly and the restaurant wasn't particularly loud while we were there. Given the price, taste of food and service, I'd give this place somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. If I'm ever in Lancaster again, I wouldn't mind eating here again.

Really cool and different place, particularly for Lancaster. Long narrow restaurant where the servers have to be thin to get around. But nice setting, just a little loud because of the acoustics. And they have a unique menu. They serve the appetizers on this wood slab with bark on the end. Some really fine tasting cheeses too. While the duck fat fries I can figure out, things like alto adige,, cappa picante, and salmon sashimi were new to me but tasted great. I had the halibut, which had a lot of fancy adjectives in front of halibut which i cant remember, and my wife the seared scallops, just excellent. And we had this nimbus white wine which was beyond good. I would have had 4 or 5 glasses if I didn't have to remortgage my house to afford it. Actually prices weren't that bad but the portions were tiny especially for a behemoth eater like me. But it tasted fabulous. The management were very friendly and dressed quite casually, kinda like the pastors at LCBC type churches...a studied carelessness. But we will definitely come back. Not only for dinner but for some wine and cheese too. While you don't have to be rich to eat at pour, ya still better bring plenty of money.

Pro's: Food was small portions, great for sharing and DELICIOUS!
Extensive and awesome beer and wine menu!

Con: VERY LOUD! It was tough to hold a conversation at the table without having to repeat ourselves.

Overall: Very happy with our culinary and libation experience!

I really wanted to like this place when I came last spring, but it just missed the mark. There were literally no vegetables on the menu. It was all meat dishes. The wine was just fine so I never ended up coming back.

I returned to Pour during a recent trip home and was much more impressed with the wine menu. While Lancaster isn't located in the heart of wine country, this menu could compete with some of San Francisco's best wine bars. Bravo to the sommelier/bar manager/owner for selecting great (and lesser known!) wines from around the world. Wines are priced perfectly, something I can't say is true for many wine lists in Lancaster...

I didn't order any liquor, but the bar menu was impressive as well. Again, kudos to whoever makes the bar selections. Pour's bar is a must for anyone in Lancaster seeking a cosmopolitan feel OR for anyone daring to try something outside the usual whiskey and vodka routine.

I also tried the Duck Fat Fries with garlic aioli... twice. These fries are amazing! I love that the menu changes regularly, but love even more that these are a staple year round!

The only reason I can't give POUR a perfect five-star rating is because our server was a bit nasty to us at first and, like I encountered my first visit, still didn't know the menu. But, overall, I love Pour and will absolutely visit whenever in the area.

What an enjoyable evening! From the moment we entered Pour we felt very welcomed and at home. The manager, host, and waiters were friendly and provided us with great recommendations. While the restaurant was packed and the music was playing (great music) we were able to hold a conversation.

The prices are very reasonable and the various plates were fantastic. We started with the Charcuterie (so reasonable and generous portions), then moved to the Social Plates - Duck Fat Fries were delicious and the Variations on Squash was interesting. We were going to order 2 Pour Plates but the Charcuterie and the Social Plates were satisfying so we order 1 Pour Plate - the Poached Halibut - excellent choice! We ended the evening with dessert - the ice cream sampler was refreshing and even the coffee was flavorful.

We will be back!

Pour, yes please!
So this week our business and appetites led us to Lancaster, PA.

With a name called "Pour" I only thought that the wine and beer selection would be good, but the food was too. Pour is located in Gallery Row, so I thought we were going to get more of a visual fill instead of the fill on food. With the food being gently priced we ordered alot. The crazy thing is there was only two of us. Here is what the table had and we ate it all.. read more here! http://www.bougiefood.co…

I've only been once so far, so this isn't an absolutely complete review. I always wonder about the star rating system. Is this rated against every other place in Lancaster, or every place I've ever eaten? I'd say it's a 5 for Lancaster, a 3.5 nationally.

Lancaster has been gasping for a place like this. The decor is well done, and the tapas-style plates are a very welcome change from the typical Southern PA monster meal.

It's curated relatively well. I was impressed by their cheese and charcuterie. I found the wine list to be interesting, but not the best I've ever seen. Still, I can happily spend a night there and find things I'd like to drink. Haven't even looked at the beer list yet, so I can't answer to that.

Duck fat fries were amazing. I know they're hard to mess up, but Pour is the only place I know in Lancaster that does them. I will be back.

Terrific service at the bar and otherwise. Ambiance was good as well. We only came for wine and while we would have preferred a greater variety of selections, those on the menu were very good. We're looking forward to returning in the future.

I very much enjoyed Pour. I'm not too familiar with Lancaster but I loved the part of town it was in. They have a large outdoor seating area that people had their pups with them to dine. The restaurant is beautiful. The cheese plate was yummy. I would suggest that they get some additional toppings, I guess you could say, for the cheese. Such as a fig jam, honey, or nuts. They only serve mustard which is good but not my thing for a cheese like brie. The entree was very tasty. We did not really care for the desserts. I probably should have just had two cheese plates. ha.

I'm a sucker for good wine, meat, cheese, and outside dining. We tried all the meats and cheeses available. The veal mousse pate was fantastic and I usually don't like pate. Mussels and duck fat fries were unbelievable.
I was dining with 7 friends from NYC and we were hungry. We ate every bite of the appetizers and each ordered entrees. The brisket was the most appealing to the group. I went for the pasta. My friends were greatly disappointed in the portion size. The guys were joking about getting pizza right after because they were still hungry.
The girls were satisfied and liked that they didn't feel too full. My suggestion- don't expect a lot from the entrees, they're basically a step up from the appetizers they offer.

I was in heaven- the guys... Not so much

Wines by the glass list was impressive as well.

Bartender Was jovial and engaging .......

Rumor has it that Pour is owned and operated by a couple of guys that are from Lancaster, but moved back into town to open their restaurant after living in Chicago. Smart move, as a place like this would be white noise in Chicago (where places like this are on every other street corner) but is a welcome addition in the booming local restaurant scene of Lancaster City. As a former Chicago resident, I recognize not-so-original duck fat fries from the popular Chi-town spot Hot Doug's, but its kinda lovely to have them so close to my home here in Lancaster. The meats and cheeses tapa-style platters with wine is something I also learned to love in Chicago, so again, it is nice to have it here. Fantastic drink menu that leaves little to complain about.

I will agree with a previous reviewer that the decor is somewhat tacky (Why why why why why are there colored lights on gorgeous exposed brick? The designer in me is so sad.) I will also STRONGLY agree and WARN others that the desserts are pretty awful, which is so disappointing after a really great experience. I tried a dessert here last fall, and again today, hoping it would be better, but alas - it was not. Both desserts had the same flaws: way too much going on, completely uncomplimentary textures/flavors, and entirely too salty. I thought maybe the saltiness was all in my head the first time, but the second time just confirmed it. My advice to Pour is tone down the color lights and get a really fantastic pastry chef to make this place invaluable to Lancaster, and a phenomenal five-star experience.

My wife and I were seated at a small table just inside the entrance where we spent the evening with incoming and outgoing patrons looming over us. Yes, this is a small venue. No, 'at the front door' is absolutely not a place for a table. And with the meat-and-cheese wood slab on our small table, there was little room for anything else. A very uncomfortable way to spend an evening.

Our waiter introduced himself as our "tour guide" for the evening. Really? Why can't you just be friendly, attentive, and informative? And, unless we ask for a recommendation, please refrain from telling us about your favorite wine.

Reading the other reviews, I don't understand the fascination with the charcuterie offerings. We eat and entertain like this frequently...food enjoyment doesn't get any simpler...there's virtually nothing to cook!! I can only guess that it's something so new-and-different to Lancaster in a restaurant venue.

My advice, whether you've been to this establishment or not, is to try it on your own. Go to the Market or Mandros or Weavers...even the grocery stores now have an excellent variety of smoked meats and cheeses. Pick up things you've never had before....experiment!! You can even buy an entire loaf of bread. Then go to the liquor store on Fruitville Pike...they have the widest selection of wines in this area. If you don't know wine (what to buy), ask. There are myriad offerings in the $10-$15 range. Yes, that's price-per-bottle, not per-glass. Get your friends together and enjoy.

I get it, sometimes you just want an evening out. Well, there are plenty of other venues around with a lot more to offer.

I went to Pour on a Thursday evening. It was fairly busy, but no wait for a table. The service is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the food and wine menus.

I had the full charcuterie treatment, including two meats and all cheeses, a total of four glasses of wine, and a dessert. Bill came out to $77 plus tip. Was it worth it?

Let's backtrack to the service. As I mentioned, very friendly but, alas, not terribly attentive. The charcuterie was presented very nicely on a wood block (charming, I thought) but with only a single, tiny wedge of bread. It was quite the challenge to get the waitresse's attention for additional bread.

The quality of the cheeses and cold cuts was excellent. The cheese didn't feel like it was kept in a fridge, and was subsequently very rich and flavorful. Ditto for the cold cuts. The wine was great. Perfect temperature etc. Loved it!

The dessert was...awful. I was tempted into the caramel cake with bacon ice cream. No balance between the rich and salty caramel and the rich and salty ice cream. The attempt to add texture (granola) was just too little, too late. After a bite, I just couldn't eat it. Oh, and there were little tufts of apple jelly. Frankly, I'm not sure what was going on here.

On to decor: very 80's with cheesy, colorfully lit white segments against the brick wall in the bar area. The rest of the place has tasteful art, brick walls and comfortable seats. There is also a small lounge area. Slightly cheesy but looks comfortable. Enough so that two, overly made up matrons, in too tight outfits, sprawled on the couches and popped open their laptop to listen to JayZ.

If you are planning on coming with a group, inquire about space. This place is tiny. Overall, I will come back but it won't be consistently. I don't see how this experience is worth the $77 and that's why I am only giving it three stars. A trip to Mandros and a bottle of wine for half the price at home would be similar (minus the JayZ).

Absolutely wonderful place, we had a party of 11 and were in the great couch alcove they have. They have a nice wine list and huge beer list. Small plates of gourmet goodies ( if duck fat fries are wrong, I don't want to be right) meats, cheeses, interesting beet risotto- nice little selection of foods.
Take a group of friends, get a few bottles of wine and enjoy your night at Pour!

I truly adore this place. One visit and pour was at the top of my list for restaurants in Central PA. I am dying to go back again...and again...and again.

The menu is made up of options designed for sharing. It is not an especially large menu, but it is carefully considered and has something for all tastes. The charcuterie boards are really great for exploring different cured meats and cheeses and are, in my opinion, very moderately priced. We sampled several meats and cheeses and about three of the larger plate options. Everything was truly fantastic!

As the name would suggest, Pour has an expansive and very carefully curated wine and beer list. It was very difficult to choose because of all the selections were so desirable.

The staff has clearly been trained on the food and all of the drinks. Our server comfortably gave us extensive explanations of everything we inquired about, whether it was food or drink. She also answered with a passion for the items. Friends of mine said they had a similar experience with the bartender. It is clear that this training is an important part of Pour's experience for its clientele. I can't wait to go back, but I am especially looking forward to returning in the summer months as they have a fantastic little patio area that offers an intimate dining experience. Dining in the winter? Never fear, Pour's atmosphere delivers just as much as the food and drink.

Can you tell I LOVE this place?

I think this wine/beer/tapas place is welcome addition to Lancaster. What is not welcoming is their host. This elderly fellow thinks he's working the rope line at Milk and Honey rather than a tapas bar in Lancaster, PA.

Despite the host-Nazi, the beer and wine selection is as good as it gets in downtown Lancaster. The house wines are delicious and reasonably priced, the beer list is very good as well. I would like to see a little more turnover in the draught list. The food may be a bit too hip for me, but I do enjoy the charcuterie. The meats and cheeses were excellent compliments to the beverages. If you get past the front door, you may even enjoy yourself there.

I must say that I really enjoyed my visit.

We went with another couple and enjoyed a board with some of the dirty martini salami and humboldt fog goat cheese, along with some excellent bread.

I chose the wild boar for the main course and it was delicious and perfectly prepared.

I anxiously await my next visit and many more I'm sure.

Finally a place in Lancaster much like a tapas bar. If you are not familiar with that style of eating. It is small plates and portions that you can share with your friends while drinking. You pick a bunch of small dishes and basically create your own meal. I don't know how that can be a bad thing. I don't believe they are ever going to create "entrees" It's not the style and intention behind a wine bar. Go to a restaurant that advertises meals.

This is an upscale/casual wine-bar but they do also have a vast selection of beer and their liquor selection is also improving as time goes on.

I went on a Thursday evening with three of my girlfriends and it was packed. The atmosphere is cozy. The staff is delightful and can answer any question about wine or beer that you may have. (we had quite a few with it being our first time in) Our server was super nice. Unfortunately I can't remember her name. Three of my favorite things are a good wine, bread an cheese. I had three different cheeses, all plated on the wooden board that someone else mentioned. Very delicious I believe the one was called red hawk.

I don't understand why people assume that they should always get something for free. The portions of bread that accompany the platters are generous. at least three slices of a baguette if not four. And it cost money. It's not being stingy...often people ask for things and then let them go to waste. As a new business it's pennies going down the drain if people ask for it and it doesn't get eaten. I can completely understand because it can't be used for anything else. It helps the customer become aware that everything costs money. (In other words I support this, and am okay with it because the bread is that good that I would pay for it anyway.)

Sorry for my little rant but I feel that uneducated visitors who post something poorly about an eatery should be more educated about the intention of the business rather than belittling it for something that is is not supposed to be in the first place.

I don't have much to say other than read @KimZ's most wonderful review below and note that:

a) great beer selections, served properly

b) if you *are* a carnivore the duck prosciutto, charceuterie, and pork belly are all magnificent. And further that being omnivorous is a massive evolutionary advantage. And that lots of animals are really, really tasty, especially when they're prepared like they are at Pour

Pour is a stylish addition to the Lancaster scene. You feel like you are sipping in an art gallery, and you are, since they are connected to the Artisans Gallery, a few steps north of downtown.

They have beautifully restored the hundred-year-old arched brick and filled the space with abstract art and great lighting, also cool chill-out music to make you feel big-city. The bar was packed the whole time we were there, and there is a modern outside space near the street.

Service was very welcoming and friendly, and there are many hip urban touches that show Lancaster is doing a lot of things right as it continues to improve. (Lots of building projects going on downtown, wonder what is coming.) Oh Lancaster, can you please come tutor us here in Reading so we can learn to do what you did to your downtown? It wasn't even First Friday, and we kept discovering neat things like a small outdoor music fest, live music behind a gallery, an open falafel shop, people playing piano out the sidewalk, etc. as we walked around.

Not sure how this is seated, but there is a very cool orange wrap-around sofa just past the bathroom. You might miss it. I also appreciated the green-tea-scented lotion in the (lovely as others have pointed out) bathroom. Nice touch to leave a (beautiful, yes even this) bottle of cold water at the table too, no need to ask.

The whites and reds are well described and tend toward Spain and CA. I had a delicious red blend called Double Decker, and my husband loved his Sauvignon Blanc-like Verdejo blend. Bottles were all under $35 and most much less. Glasses were $8-9 each, nicely affordable for such an atmosphere. The wine list isn't huge, which is not necessary, because it avoids waste and oxidized choices. There did not appear to be a cruvinet. I am not sure how often the selections change, but I would like to find out.

We did not sample the beer list, but it was impressive, and they have the right glasses too. Wine pours are generous.

This is not really a dinner place, more of a wine-with-upscale-snacks, so don't expect to be stuffed. That is not the purpose. I can see people complaining about the size of the portions, but I prefer the idea of having a few well-done morsels to go with your wine. It leaves the focus on the wine.

Why don't I give this place more stars? Well, I would love to, and it is worth more than 3, but if you are not a carnivore, there is not much for you. The kitchen staff here is clearly sophisticated and created beautifully-presented plates. If you are into charcuterie and raw cheeses, you will be very happy, because you can make custom plates, and we saw a lot of these going by.

There were two things we could eat, a vegetable gnocchi which they left the brown butter sauce off, and a veggie crudite which was very creative in that it had beets and crunchy pumpernickel bits over an aioli mayo. Yes, it was real mayo, though we asked for it vegan. I know our server asked for the curry emulsion instead (which came with the gnocchi), and sometimes things happen if you are not cooking it yourself, but I would love to see Pour add a few more plant-based treats. A plate of exotic olives and nuts, fancy falafel, or some kind of avocado or mushroom thing maybe?
