When you walk into a place with a huge sign saying "The Primo Pizza" and with a back counter full of pizza boxes, you kind of expect that they might serve pizza.  Not the case.  Hopefully it's a better bar than a pizza place.

Thankfully, this dark chapter in pizza making is over.  Closed.  Now a nightclub.

This is a very very interesting place. When I first walked by I could hear the loud jukebox pumping Mexican tunes from the street. The co-worker and I looked in and everyone who was eating was Mexican. Guess we can score some taqueria style food maybe?

When you walk in it's a huge vacuous room with pool tables, football/futbol/booze signs are splattered across the walls. There are tons of  those vending machines with toys for the kids; Pokemon, Simpsons, etc ,and some of those machines sport fake plastic "bling" so yo kids can be all gansta and shit. There's another machine that has the claw where you pick up stuffed animals. It's also pumping music but it's of the 8bit Super Mario Nintendo style. What the hell is going on here?

So we stroll up to the bar, look at the menu, and we see pizza, sandwiches, and burgers. Typical bar food and no taqueria stuff in sight. So making the best of the situation we decide to try the pizza and we go sit down at the front. Between the jukebox and the toy machine, we're yelling at each other to keep up our conversation. Then a huge truck pulls up in front and a guy proceeds to unload like twenty kegs and some cases of various bottled beer for good measure. This place must rage at night. So our pizza comes out and it's actually pretty decent. On top of that it's familiar. Since there's actually no sign on the front I ask the guy working here what they're called and he says "Primo". He also says that this used to be called Gold Rush Pizza and it finally clicks into place. I'd been to Gold Rush in downtown RWC and I think they use the same formula for the pizza here. So similar pizza but completely different, wacky environment and patrons.

So if you like Mexican and Nintendo music, want to play pool, and drink lots of beer/eat pizza, this place might be for you, assuming you like crazy dive ass atmosphere.
