Went back again and brought a few friends, one of them never had a steamed cheeseburger and now she is hooked.  Extra cheese please and the roll they put it on is the best, I usually pick the bun apart because it is too big and too much bread, their bun is just perfect and I ate ALL the bread too, it is like a chibata bread bun.. I also had the fried pickles this time and sometimes they are salty other places I have ordered them, but they were cooked perfect with a yummy dipping sauce.  Colleen wasn't there this time but the girls were nice and attentive.

I've lived near this place for years and, based on its appearance, never wanted to bother. I finally ended up there today because I was with a group of people who didn't want to travel far. It was in between lunch and dinner, and there were about ten people in a group that looked like a biker club standing around at the bar, total. The woman working ignored the hell out of us for several minutes and had a stern expression. When finally asked, she told us to sit wherever. Long story short, she was not personable throughout our meal. I don't mean just that she didn't grin and wear suspenders with flair; I'm saying her attitude made us feel awkward and unwelcome.

I ordered a burger with bacon and it came without bacon. When I brought it up, just wanting to make sure we weren't charged the extra dollar for the bacon, she literally just walked away without responding verbally in any way to what I had said. We were so confused. She eventually came back when my burger was half gone and handed me a plate of unimpressive bacon strips/curls. Oh and sandwiches/burgers don't come with fries; you get pasta salad made with bad Italian dressing and really tinny black olives from a can. You want fries instead and it's an extra $2.50. Three of the people I was with tried paying extra and got onion rings, which they said were gross. Thanks but no thanks and I'll never waste another meal there.

Ahh, goold ole' QT. Best bar in Meriden, hands down, and the food is actually really good as far as bar fare goes! Hot wings are tasty, blue cheese has chunks, nachos with chili are the perfect football food. It gets rowdy on weekends and game nights but I like to come here when it's slower. Colleen is awesome; a no-nonsense, no-frills lady who don't take no you-know-what and always remembers your drink order before you even ask. All the girls are sweeties and the owner Pauly is a barrel of laughs. One of my favorite biker bars, and they're always keeping the menu interesting. It's not haute cuisine, but as Toby Keith would say, mmmhmmmhmmm, I love this bar.
