I think we have another candidate for "Most Authentic Dive Bar...EVER" award. This place hasn't changed since the 70s and it's awesome. The place is small and the pictures on the wall are old.
We were there for a big block party with the fire fighters so it was packed. The place is so real that the owner had to change the keg out. He disappeared and then came back through the bar wheeling a fresh keg and yelling "First aide kit coming through. Clear the way! First aide kit coming through!"

For the first 18 years of my life, I thought this was an interestingly named auto body shop. Â I rarely saw it open past 8 pm and there were always cars there during the day. Â Luckily, it's not an auto body shop, it's a little tucked away (for those not in the know) bar. Â It's owned by people who are quite engaging and love what they do. Â This is a bar that you can go into and leave several hours later with a few more friends. Â Oh, and drinks are really inexpensive, which helps in staying there for long periods of time. Â Also, they have a burger called the Billy Burger that is supposed to be pretty amazing.
