Absolutely bewildering menu - way way way too long. Â That's because Queso is trying to be every thing to every one - Mexican for those who want burritos or tacos, a salad place for those who want salad, and burger place for those who want burgers - AND Queso wants to offer every type, every variation and every option within all 3 of these categories. Â When you order, you have to peruse 5 - yes 5 (or maybe it's even 6) - different menu boards behind the cashiers. Â Not only are there 5 (or maybe 6) menu boards, each board is small-print and crammed with details. Â They would do well to pare down the options here. Â
That said, the burgers are huge and you can get just about any kind of burger you want, with any topping you want. Â My husband says the burritos are good, and they are also huge. Â I have enjoyed every salad I have had here and also the fish tacos. Â Also, they deliver, which is nice. Â So it's a good fast food-y type place to drop in or order from for a casual meal, and nice to have in the neighborhood. Â But be prepared for the SAT examination that the menu is!
I have been a waitress for over 15 years and have never written a bad review.  This being said.... Do not eat here!  The staff was young, unknowledgable about the menu, my order was put in wrong, and my food was cold.  I can handle all of that....but I was watching the cooks prepare the food.  The cooks behind the line wore gloves but never changed them.  It would be safer to not wear gloves and at least wash your hands! One cook was pressing  raw meat down on the grill with his gloves on.  WIthout changing the gloves, he wiped his hands off on his dirty apron then picked up bread, cut it, and made salads.  He then went back to the raw meat and pressed it down again and continued to make food.  I brought it up to a worker and manager who could have cared less. Being a waitress for as long as I have, I let a lot slide and rarely complain.  This is a dangerous place to eat!!
Review Source:This recently became a new lunch spot for me. Â It's in a little strip mall in Lincroft. Â It's relatively new so the dining room is modern and kind of hip feeling. Â There is ample seating. Â When you walk in, you can see the open kitchen that runs along the entire length of the restaurant. Â Their menu is quite extensive. Â Kind of a mix of tex mex food and salad bar. Â They have custom salads that you can pick from the menu or make up whatever salad you want. Â All the salad items are very fresh and the portions are generous and relatively cheap. Â I enjoy the salads so much that I haven't tried anything else yet. Â The burritos and quesadillas seem to be very popular though from what I've seen. Â Great lunch spot
Review Source:Not authentic Mexican food but overall quite good.
Quesdillas is my standard there. Acceptable portion size & not too greasy.
Buffalo Chicken & Philly Cheesesteak are great choices.
Burrito's are big.
Place isn't stingy with their ingredients.
Design a salad is a great option.
Everything can be customized to your liking.
I order from there once or twice a week.
Good food with good prices.

Opening Night- welcome to the neighborhood!
Well worth the wait for opening day... I had the tacos with shredded beef and my GF had the burrito bowl. Everything was fresh, delicious and fast. Basically like a Chipotle, but with lots more options.
4 minor suggestions:
serve authentic mexican aqua frescas, such as Jamaica, Horchata...(not bottled) Why serve fresh, healthy food and then only crappy american fountain drinks?
offer a chimichanga
have a free bowl of house salsa out by the sodas
make the enchiladas with enchilada sauce, not rojo sauce
This place will def be on my regular stops. so glad to have some great mexican food nearby:)
