  Rally's/Checkers have the best fries.  I don't what the other person was looking at but Rally's have good sized burgers.  Unless you are comparing it to a quarter-ponder or something.  But Rally's is more bang for the buck.  The tea wasn't that great so stick to a soda.  We go out of our way just to go to Rally's when we want fast food.

  Chicago fans of Checkers will immediately recognize Rally's when they travel downstate.  Same tiny drive-throughs, same tiny burgers (smaller than a McDonald's hamburger, but much larger than a slider... you might want to start with a double), same delicious seasoned fries and Cherry Coke available as a drink option.  For people who like mayo on burgers, it's standard at Rally's, as are red onions, which I appreciate.  The dome of the state capitol is visible from the parking lot.  Pointing this out to your friends will identify you as an upstate tourist to the locals.
