When I lived in Muncie for many years, Richard's was a place to go for a quality meal at a bargain price.  Based on my last visit to Richard's for breakfast, only the latter is true.  Prices are still good.  Food, not so much.

It's pretty hard to screw up breakfast but Richard's managed to do so.  Not much worse than cold bacon and eggs.  The service we had that morning was also quite slow however the place was busy - mostly full - leading me to believe they were short-handed and the food stood too long before serving it to us.  Coffee refills were also very slow.

Our experience leads me to believe service (lack of help) is at the root of our disappointment.  I suspect, like many small businesses, Richard's is struggling to stay open and are cutting all corners in order to do so but they must remember, if the food doesn't taste good, people won't be back.

Count me in that group.  There are several other places to choose from who get it right, in my opinion.

Pretty good, kinda like and IHOP or a Sunshine cafe, just usually for older people, had their half broasted chicken, way better than KFC and for a better price I got half a chicken and a drink all for like $8

If I could criticize one thing, I know this place serves a lot of elderly people, but please take all the scary pictures down of portraits of dolls or kids, whatever they are, it's creepy

I love places that serve breakfast all day. Whereas places like IHOP provide the same, they tend to have a limited selection of dinner foods like burgers and steaks.

Richard's mixes all the day's meals, even dessert, into a family (and wallet) friendly package.

Their omelettes are tasty and customizable, and apart from the basics, they actually offer a couple of nice seafood choices, which is something rare for Muncie, outside of the Red Lobster.

If you have room for dessert, there is a chocolate fudge pie that is absolutely to die for. Get a piece and then dedicate it to me. :)
