Rosie's is what I think of when I think of small town brunch places; small, non-pretentious, and super big on the flavour.
I normally take my nieces here for Sunday brunches, and they are always super packed then, but somehow manage to keep wait times down to 15 minutes.
While waiting, I normally surf thru the menus, and drool over their baked goodies in their baked goods cabinet.
Though, I normally pour myself over the menu, assuming that I'll try something new, I normally get the egg specials with sweet potato fries- yum!
The service is exceptional as well.
If you're ever in Noblesville, check this place out.
Rosie's is constantly busy at lunch time. Â It's as if all of the lunch crowd gathers at Rosie's. Â Although I have never been here for breakfast, I hear that it is outstanding. I always get the tuna salad sandwich, but there are always a couple of additional specials to choose from. Â Reasonable prices and yummy baked goods make this a great place to attend for a filling meal.
Review Source:Rosie's Place has become one of my new favorite breakfast places. I love the atmosphere, the staff treats me like family, the food is good, and the prices are reasonable. Here are some things to know about Rosie's:
First, depending on the day, you may not be able to find a parking spot on the square. But there is plenty of free parking downtown... keep looking!
Two, the servers are great, but they keep busy. Catch them early when it's busy... they may be busy, but they're pretty good about keeping their customers happy.
Three, I typically go here for breakfast and it's good. But they have plenty of other things that are good. I'm pretty sure they have a special each day.
Overall, Rosie's is a winner and I love stopping in whenever I'm in Noblesville. They're only open for breakfast and lunch, so take a lunch break and head on over!
Service and food were lacking but atmosphere was very cute. Â From the time we sat down it took 30 minutes to receive lunch. Â It seemed a little long for a breakfast/sandwich kind of place. During the wait water refills were very slow. The waitress was more interested in complaining about serving $700 in a single day than following up with customers.
Food came out and the waitress immediately asked, "one check or separate?". There wasn't an apology for the delay or even a check on if we were happy with the meal. She was completely focused on moving on to something else. Â
Food was very average. The taco salad had massive pieces of chunky lettuce - a bad option for this type of salad. Â The salsa did not make it out with the order as advertised. The pulled pork sandwich, recommended by the bad server, was dry and memorable for all the wrong reasons. The fries were cold.
After picking at the food the waitress returned to the table and commented we must be full since we didn't eat much. Again, no check on our satisfaction with the food. After 45 minutes or crappy service I brought to the servers attention she should ask us about our experience. She responded, "you must be in hurry and didn't like the wait."
To pay you have to take your receipt to a front register. The high school aged cashier seemed equally uninterested in our dining experience. I asked her if she ever checked on a person's dining experience. She said she does every now and again.
What a total lack of focus on service. Â Maybe it's due to the young, inexperienced staff or poor restaurant management. Whatever the reason I cannot recommend this place to anyone. I am anxious to try some of the other local restaurants on the Square.
I am a huge fan of Rosie's! Â This is such a cozy and quaint place in downtown Noblesville on the square. Â I love the wood floors and the cement/brick walls. Â The food is always delicious and you get plenty of it for a great price. Â The pancakes are the size of dinner plates and the breakfast potatoes are some of the best I have had. Â I wasn't overly impressed with the cinnamon coffee cake but that was a last minute purchase that was staring me in the eye while on my way out the door. Â The service is always decent and they always seem busy. Â Never a bad experience.
Review Source:Food poisoning on Easter
I went to Rosie's Place on Easter. Â Fist of all, they lost my reservation. Â I ordered the Southern eggs benedict. Â When I received to order the food was not very warm. Â Because they were busy, I did not say anything. Â The next day was spent on the toilet. Â I will never go back to some place that made me sick.
Like Santa calling out for all of his reindeer, the head chef calls out the servers by name when they have food to pick up and deliver to hungry diners. Â Solid choice for breakfast. Â Everything we ordered was good. Â The potatoes were underseasoned in my opinion but hey, oh well. Â Cool exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. Â Want to really treat yourself? Â Get a piece of Ooey Gooey butter cake. Â Hot damn!

newish breakfast place downtown
who needs other meals?
This is a cozy little place in downtown Noblesville. Â It's difficult to complain: nice ambiance, local baked goods, perfect eggs. Â It's pretty up scale for breakfast though. Â Personally I like CHEAP BIG breakfast, so if you're looking for that, it's not here. Â And the portions are not made to split, even though the prices might make you think you're getting more food than what you actually get...
So, bachelors and bachlorettes--this is the place to sulk in loneliness over an expensive guiltless breakfast OR impress your eharmony "friends" at the check-em-out non-commital first brunch/lunch date.
Mediocre food, poor service.
The ambiance was decent and the place was hopping but the food and service was underwhelming.
We got the corned need hash and the quiche of the day. The hash was bland and soggy, biscuits were meh. Quiche had lots of fresh veggies in it and lots of cheese, but was rather bland and the crust was not very flaky. The side of greens and fruit was nice. We left with a slab of butter cake. It was decent and novel, like a dry piece of yellow cake soaked in honey. The coffee was decent.
The server was not very attentive and the kitchen was slow... Maybe we just hit the rush hour though.
I've been to Rosie's Place many times and I want the entire world to know how good it is! Â I usually get the ham sandwich with a cup of soup or a veggie omelet but they offer great specials that are different each day. Â Everything is homemade including the wide variety of desserts and cookies. Â The coconut pie and peanut butter cookies are amazing. Â Be sure to check out the dessert case at the front of the restaurant before being seating. Â That way you can plan your meal accordingly. Â Rosie's is a quaint little restaurant located on the historic square of downtown Noblesville. Â They only have street parking but a parking lot is located one block north. Â I go to Rosie's with my coworkers and they do a great job getting us in and out within one hour. Â This year I asked to go to Rosie's for my birthday because it was the best way I thought to start my day.
Review Source:Love the food and the atmosphere. Â Only complaint is it can be slow!! Â Plan ahead if you take young kids for breakfast, because they will be cranky by the time the food finally arrives. Â Spent the better part of the morning there the other day having breakfast with the family. Â Once the food arrives, everything is good. Â The kids 3 silver dollar pancakes is enough for both of the kids (2 and 4). Â
Food has always been good, except, last visit, the biscuits were pretty dry.
The baked goods look fantastic, but never had enough room left to try them.
My husband and I had brunch here for the first time and we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was very warm and inviting, especially on a brisk fall morning. The smell of homemade baked goods made us hungry from the moment we walked in the door. The wait was short, the food was good and so was the service. We ordered biscuits and gravy and pancakes, which were both delightful. We'll definitely be back another time to try the french toast and chocolate chip pancakes. The coffee was standard, but if they'd had some premium coffees available to order, I definitely would have rated them with 5 stars. Other than that, we loved it and will return to Rosie's! It's great!
Review Source:I walked 4 miles to uptown Noblesville. Beautiful fall day. Rosie's special today is chili and cornbread. The chili is perfectly seasoned, nice thickness. Â Tad amt of cheddar cheese and sour cream on top has my fall pallate smiling! Add the pie slice of cornbread...nice size, slight sweet taste and no lumps felt. Great service and I've had the cakes and other desserts before. Delicious!
Review Source:Perfect little lunch or breakfast spot in downtown Noblesville! I love this place, the decor, the staff, the FOOD - everything is just right. Goldilocks would be content here.
Moving here form Chicago, I was a little bummed at the lack of nice little locally owned restaurants but when we discovered downtown Noblesville , my sadness melted away. Rosie's is yet another awesome little gem on the square!
It is always good to have new places to eat at and Rosie's fits the bill!! The food is good and the room is very cool. the breakfast items are nice and on the hip side, not a belly buster kind of plate. The lunch items are also very good, you must try their sweet potato fries there are the best around!!! I would like to see a better cup of coffee from them, they are almost next door to the Noblesville Coffee Co. which has the best in town. The food is very good the room is very cool it's local, so try it out!
Remember to eat well and to live well, and please no chains!
I am the sister who Jessica S refers to in her review. Â I agree - this is a lovely locally owned restaurant with good food. Â My egg sandwich was quite good, though as Jessica said, the potatoes were not well-done enough for my liking.
I purchased a few baked goods to go: a chocolate chip cookie, a butter cake cookie (or something like that), and a banana muffin. Â Truth be told - each of these were just OK. Â Still, I will return and try them again and would recommend Rosie's to everyone.
Oh, yes, I'm a fan. It's so amazing to find locally owned restaurants close to home. Noblesville has three diners I've been to: Rosie's Place, Ginger's Cafe and the Uptown Cafe. There are a few more and I'm making the rounds and will get to them soon, but these three are a great start.
Uptown Cafe is smallest and if they have a wait there is little room to wait in. Plus they're closed Mondays :(
Ginger's is largest and is open 7 days. Amazing service
But on to Rosie's Place. The space is the former Artist's Vineyard and they've left the exposed-brick walls in place but added a glassed-in kitchen. The place is well lit and it makes the food look great (which it is!).
They serve breakfast all day (which is until 3 pm. LOVE the longer hours than the other cafe's in town. When I was there for lunch and ordered th corned beef, I was asked "Hash or Rueben". I was delighted. That told me the CB was fresh and used all day long. Served on swirled rye with their light cole slaw and the usual cheese and thousand island dressing, it was a treat. I could have made it on just half a sandwich because it was so full of ingredients.
Save room for dessert! They have a large selection of cakes, pies, cookies and muffins, all made in-house. I tried the peach crumble muffin and was thrilled to find chunks of peaches in the muffin. Had to eat it with a fork due to all the wonderful crumbly toppings.
My one complaint is they serve sodas by the $1.95 can. Ugh. But I can get by that with all the other great things going on here!
Rosie's Place opened for business on the Noblesville Square October 2010, but I only just discovered it today, and am so glad I did! Â
They serve breakfast all day, and lunch items after 11am. Â The menu features traditional American breakfast items such as eggs, pancakes, french toast and biscuits with gravy. Â The lunch menu has many interesting sandwiches, soups and salads. Â They also have a wide array of baked goods with many types of cookies, several scones, pies, and the house specialty of "gooey butter cake." Â Everything is made on-site by the owner. Â
The restaurant space is bright and really charming, with exposed brick walls, old wood panel floors, and a mix of booths and tables. Â Windows into the kitchen allow diners to gaze upon the cooks busily preparing all items to order.
I had the biscuits and gravy. Â The gravy was a light brown, and I suspect it was made with a beef or pork stock instead of the usual milk base. Â The biscuits had a nice buttermilk flavor, but weren't as buttery/flaky as I like them to be. Â But the richness of the gravy made up for that, it was much more flavorful than the traditional sawmill gravy. Â
My sister ordered the egg sandwich on wheat bread. Â The eggs were cooked perfectly over-medium as she requested, the bread was beautifully toasted. Â It came with a side of roasted red-skin potatoes which were tasty, but could've been cooked a little crispier for her preference. Â
We brought home several baked goods and look forward to trying them later, when we have room to eat more food. Â We'll definitely be back, and I'm thrilled that Noblesville has yet another great locally-owned cafe!
