Definitely NOT my scene. I was never a big fan of POOL but I don't dislike it either. However, this place is not a place where I would go to have fun or for a night out. It's pretty well-kept and clean but the crowd are mostly older men and senior citizens in their late 40s-60s which kind of creeped me out. I think our party was the only 'young' crowd in the entire place the night we arrived here. Prices seemed pretty expensive (sorry if I'm being ignorant on Billiard prices) for a Pool Hall. We played for 2 hours and paid $60. It's really located in the middle of nowhere in a strip mall/plaza.
***There's NO Alcohol nor a bar here, only soft/energy/sports drinks available for purchase***
Royal is only one floor, so wheelchairs have access. Â There are 6-8 pocket billiard tables. Â The rest of tables are of the no pocket variety. Â
Most of the cues are crooked but are still serviceable. Â You're not here to play in a tournament, just to waste some time. Â If you're here late at night, there's a White Castle further down River Rd and other fast food options along Rt. 46.
Back in the day, this was where you took someone you didn't want anyone to see you with. Â It's location is very much off the beaten path. Â I think it can still qualify as an undercover "date" spot.
