Was there Sat nite July  13.  It was the WORST dining experience EVER.
Got there @ 4;45--took 1  hr to get our food--our order came out totally wrong-
ordered hamburgers med rare-got well done---requested no lettuce, no mayo and no onions.  they came slathered in mayo, well done with lettuce and onion.  Our server
took forever to get anything--must have been his first nite.  he couldn't do more than one thing at a time which also took forever.  it seemed we weren't the only customers with problems as the manager was moving from table to table trying to soothe
problems with other customers.  Didn't get out of there til after 6 even tho we were
unable to even eat our horribly prepared food, most of which came to our table wrong.   .STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Horrible food and terrible service!!!!!

Bland food, bad service. However, the bathrooms were clean and the hostess was nice enough to help me find the closest bus stop.

Meh. There are tons of other dining options in this shopping center. No need to waste time here.

This is supposed to be good American style food; however, I doubt fresh ingredients were used on our entrees.  The table service is decent, they have a helpful and positive wait staff, but the food falls short.  The bar service seems to be lacking too, I had a draft beef, and I could not finish it, it had a soap bar aftertaste, I am not sure it was coming from the glass; so I suspect it may between the air line from the Co2 to the inlet of the keg - just a guess.  The atmosphere was not to my liking, the decoration resembles a seedy 40s hangout, and I felt the carpet seemed dingy.

The food and the waiter saved this experience and of course those are two main factors in a restaurant, but I almost decided not to stay for dinner based on the bartenders.  They seemed very inexperienced, all of the staff seemed very young but for bartending, a little bar savvy is necessary, it's not just filling mugs and making shots and soda.  They had a simple seeming but good sounding new thing on the menu, (we were waiting for a table so started at the bar) and they had a beer cocktail with two or three described ingredients.  The girl server turned to the guy and asked if he knew how to make it, he said "not a clue".  okay.  never mind, it won't be good if they don't know what they're doing.  so I asked for a vodka and grapefruit. she said something about only having white grapefruit juice, or so I thought, and I luckily saw and stopped her from pouring white Welche's GRAPE juice into the glass. NO. Vodka and grapefruit is a pretty standard drink tho, should have know that one.  I was thinking she meant they only had white grapefruit and not pink.   I guess I can't go back if she reads this, I'll end up with poisoned beer, which is what I chose at the table, so they wouldn't know it was me, cause I was clearly exasperated with them.  my husband tipped her tho, cause he's like that.

    Our waiter was WONDERFUL.

I LOVE Ruby Tuesday. But out of all the ones in Maryland that I've been to, this one has the worst waiters. I think their flow of incoming and outgoing waiters changes every week (people constantly quitting, and new people getting trained).. There were only a couple times where the waiter new what he/she was talking about. The rest of the time, my boyfriend and I had to correct the waiter.

I go here a lot - so I see new waiters all the time. I know the menu very well. So it's a little weird that I know it better than the waiters who are working there... But other than some confusions, they are very nice and try to be helpful. No waiter is mean, and the manager does his best to give a free dish or something to make up for any mistakes.

Con: My friend did get food poisoning once

Con: we found a dead bug's shell in the rice once

Pro: Healthy food for a fair price. Can't beat the all you can eat Salad Bar! They do keep their salad bar very clean, which is great!~

Other than that... the food is the same and great-tasting as other locations.~

So let me start off by saying I am not a big RT fan. My wife, however, likes it and if momma aint happy aint nobody happy, right? Well, we came in and were well taken care of at the bar seats by "Mels". All was great until we tried to use the $10 internet coupon that my wife got while we were at the restaurant (timing is everything!). Mels told us that the manager Hugo did not accept internet coupons, but she would see what she could do. We said we would email the coupon to the office so that they could print it and "reward us". We tried a couple of times and it did not go through... Ruby Hugo Tuesday was adamant that they could not honor the coupon unless it was printed... So this manager is willing to lose customers over a $10 coupon? I will not be back. My bill was $130 and I tip 20% for decent service. Your loss Ruby's

My coworkers and I stopped by this restaurant last night for Happy Hour and couldn't have been more displeased.  There were eight of us and we first sat at three separate booths in the bar area to take advantage of the Happy Hour specials, but we eventually moved to a larger table in the back of the restaurant.

The problems started basically from the time we entered the restaurant. I don't know if the server was new or just being trained, but he was terrible. He couldn't answer any questions we had about food or drink specials at all. Every question we asked got a "let me check on that" response.  We sat in the back of the restaurant, which was so hot that we had to ask them to adjust the temperature, for thirty minutes before I finally got up to ask the greeter for menus.  When the server finally came to take our orders, he skipped over me entirely and was about to walk away until I told him I would like to place an order.

I didn't think I would get my food on time given the fact that our service had been so poor up to that point, so I just ordered the salad bar, which is usually a safe pick at Ruby Tuesday's, but apparently not at this location.  The only lettuce available was iceberg and spinach and most of the items found on the salad bar - like tomatoes, cucumbers, potato salad - were missing. There were also flies all around the lettuce.

Basically, the entire experience was subpar, and I will never return to this restaurant. As we were leaving, I heard another patron asking to use a coupon and the server telling him that he couldn't accept it even though the man said he called before he came and was told that they would accept it, so it wasn't just our party who had issues.

Overall, bad food, bad service. Very disappointed.

Ordered the blackened tilapia with rice pilaf and grilled zucchini. Service was fast and friendly. Food was very tasty and complimented my need for simple that evening as I hadn't felt 100% that day.

I absolutely love Ruby Tuesday. I'm a health conscious person and I believe their food tastes fresh and delicious. The green beans are always crispy and fresh. The salads are wonderful and the salad bar is one of the most complete salad bars I've seen! It's an excellent lunch option. They have daily specials during lunch that are great too. The waiters are always so polite and the service is prompt. For the cherry on too they are frequently sending out coupons and discounts are offered on the receipts so you end up saving which is a nice courtesy. Highly recommend.

Four of us visited this restaurant on a slow Sunday afternoon.   There was plenty of wait staff on hand but it took forever to get a waiter.   Once we had a waiter we had to ask for napkins, flatware and lemon for our tea several times.   Food was slow to come to the table, was warm at best and not very good.   That was for 3 out of 4 of us.  The 4th entree didn't come out until everyone else was finished and it was the strangest looking quesadilla I have ever seen.    One person in our party was delivered the wrong meal but that was OK because she had added the salad bar.   The waiter said that he would have the wrong item taken off the bill.   We spoke with the manager and she did nothing.   Actually she did.   When the wrong meal wasn't removed from our bill we complained and she took it off but then turned around and charged our quest full price for the salad bar.   What an insult!   I've dined at many Ruby Tuesdays and have always enjoyed the experience and could always count on them to be consistant.   Not this time!   I'm in my 50's and this was the absolute worst dining experience I have had my entire life.   There's a diner in the same parking lot as this Ruby Tuesdays.   I'll go there next time.

Very enjoyable place to eat.  They have an ample amount of tables and booths - so whichever your preference, it can be fulfilled.

Now they offer to include the salad bar with your entree priced $9.99+, but will take one of your sides away.  What I mean is you usually get 2 sides with the entree, one would be considered salad bar if you want.

This is what I usually get:
Drink: berry iced tea or another flavor - unlimited refills
    Entree: Whatever burger
Sides: salad bar and fries - both with unlimited refills.
-Take home box for my entree.  So sitting down, I basically only eat the salad and fries.  Dessert if others are in the mood for it.

All for about $20 for dinner + lunch the next day.

The iced tea takes a while to make, so when I've got about 1/3 left, I ask the server for a refill.  The service is a hit or miss here.  Sometimes it's great, but sometimes it's really terrible.

Plenty of parking in the shared lot. Bathrooms by the bar on the right, relatively clean. Lots of intimate booth seating options. Man, I need to take better notes on names; our server (Nick?) provided exceptional service with okay timing considering how big his section was. Not a euphemism, thanks. Friendly, attentive, efficient. Food came out shockingly quick considering how crowded it was. Alpine Swiss burger was really juicy, cooked properly to order, and came with fresh fixings on a wheat bun. Mushrooms sauteed to death but still good. I would've liked more condiments at the table; I understand not having mustard there, but even the absence of salt and pepper puzzled me. Cauliflower mash was thin and seasoned with naught else but a pinch of salt and butter. White cheddar mashed potatoes were a little garlicky and almost too salty, but I enjoyed it anyways. Portioning was generous, I left stuffed. Solid three and a half stars, I wouldn't mind coming back here in a pinch.

Without the salad bar they would be useless. I've yet to find a place in the area with a good salad bar thats casual, so I continue to go. The service here however is horrendus.

I mean..its Ruby Tuesday..so...  With that being said, I've always been a fan.  I used to come here when I was younger w/ friends and drink at the bar.  I would recommend the Chicken Parmesan pasta or their seafood platter.  Both favorites of mine.  Their burgers are really good too, and you can't go wrong with the salad bar.

There are two things I like about this restaurant better than TGI located across the street, the quality of the food and the ambience.  This is a much more quieter and relaxed place.

However, this doesn't do you any good if you aren't served properly.  I have been here at least 5 times and 3 of those left me with an unsatisfactory experience.  First, the hostess almost always forget to bring you utensils when they seat you and the servers never seems to notice it when they bring you your food.  Each of those times, I went up to the front to grab the utensils myself because I was too hungry to wait to request it.

The servers also have a habit of checking back on you very slowly or none at all.  I ordered burgers on two of my visits and hoped to eat as much of the all-you can-eat fries as I could.  But they were so slow in bringing out the fries that it simply wasn't worth the wait.  They also have a problem keeping insects away from the salad bar.  I have had the salad bar a couple of times and on a few occasions, there was a fly or some insect flying around the food on the salad bar.

One of the times I was seated in a booth by the bar and was served by the bartender.  After our food was brought, the bartender never checked on us until me and my friend had literally finished every morsel on our plates and drank every drop in our glasses.  The bartender checked up on the booth behind me, the booth behind my friend, the customers at the bar, but ignored us.  Needless to say, I complained to the manager (the only time I ever did so in my entire life dining out).

This is definitely one of my hotspots. The wait for being seated is never more than twenty to thirty minutes, which is fine since there are plenty of stores to pop in and look around. I love their food, especially their pastas. I love their Shrimp Parmesean Pasta, Louisiana Fried Shrimp, and New Orleans Seafood. I love ALL of their appitizers, specifically their Bacon Chedder Fries, and the Spiniach Artichoke Dip. Only reason I give them four stars is because sometimes the food takes a while. I will say a couple times they have misunderstood my order, however when I let them know they are very apologetic and have given me a free side or a free trip to the salad bar. It never stops me from being a regular.

    Favorite things to order:
    - Beverage: mango iced tea (unlimited refills!) or white sangria
    - Appetizers: wings, southern eggrolls
    - Entrée: herb crusted tilapia, triple prime burger

I wouldn't suggest ordering any steaks as the meat quality needs a bit of work, but then again, it's a chain restaurant so you can't exactly expect The Prime Rib quality meat. Other than that, the food is solid and the drinks are good. Standard American fare means you usually can't go wrong with a burger, and that statement holds true with Ruby Tuesday's. The triple prime burger cooked medium is juicy and delicious and is especially satisfying when you are extremely hungry.

I came here as part of my 2 hour AM binge today. I ordered the same items as I did during my last visit- Ruby's Choice burger topped w/ aged cheddar, sauteed onions, and sauteed mushrooms, alongside onion rings. Why the change from four to five stars?

        1) Last time my waiter said that when I substituted onion rings for the "endless fries" that accompany the burgers, I would not be allowed refills on the onion rings. This time my waitress allowed me free onion ring refills, thereby giving them "endless" status alongside Ruby Tuesday's "endless fries."

        2) They now offer complimentary garlic cheese biscuits, which are AMAZING!

Good bye Ruby Tuesday...was that too obvious?

Ruby's is trying to be upscale American pub food with the black clothing minus the fantastic flair of other restaurants or office space. But, it still has a salad bar? Granted, it's a distinctive quality of Ruby's...but, it is the new century after all.

Food: Typical American fare trying to upgrade. But, is it necessarily Pub 2.0? No, not really. They have surf and turf. For those who can't live without dysentary on land or sea. They have your grilled chicken, grilled meats, grilled fish...if they can run over it...they can grill it.
it they're trying to be an upgraded version of pub food without being a gastropub...do a table side tossed salad where they will take the time to make a salad in front of you. Either way...you may be tossing something later.

Bar: The bar here is great. The bartenders may be the most congenial and nicest, if not also a wealth of information...as opposed to other bars across the street where the idea of Friday should be everyday.

Service/management: Is it possible to come to be callous, rude, insensitive and completely uncaring towards your clientele and your staff...Welcome to Rubys...they accomplished this goal...as if it should ever be a goal.

Price: It's what it is here. Medium.

Return rate...go, just for the bar.

Bottom line: What could have been the bridge between commercialized crap of pubs (think Bennigan's or Friday's) and Gastropubs (Definitely, think Againn)...This should have been it...Good watering hole....lousy food/management.

Go at your own risk now....it's a shame...but, who knows...it could always change into an Appleby's.

I love Ruby Tuesdays.. I love their salad bar to death. I can eat here every day if I could.. All their appetizers are great, Seriously never had anything I did not like..

I think that Rubys has the best baby back ribs out there. I dont know why Chilis is known to have the best bc they dont even compare.

I was for their brunch, Sundays 9-3 pm.
First they serve you these biscuits which were pretty good. then you choose your entry and either a salad bar for $1 or a parfait, and lastly cookies for dessert. It's a 4 course brunch, good price.

Their breakfast drinks are seriously amazing. No joke, best bloody Mary, awesome drinks. I had a Tropical sunrise..OMG it even had fruit at the bottom..

They have $5 drinks all day everyday and they are really good. Don't let the $5 fool you, the drinks are pretty yummy..

    Okay,

I've been away a while because we were buying a house and that took a lot of time and energy.  Anyway, after passing by this place for better than a year, we decided to go in and try it out.  We went for the salad bar because i heard they had one and it was between this one and cici's pizza salad bar, so I figured this one would be better.  This place is underwhelming.  The first thing you notice when you walk in is that it smells like piss.  perhaps it was the beer from the bar that is near the front.  but it didn't smell very good.  the second thing is that this place is smaller than the standard ruby tuesdays.  it was kinda weird.  but who cares about that... actually, i'm sure most people care about the piss smell though.  anyway, there are some good things.  the service is actually quite nice.  the waiter was prompt and extremely helpful.  i think this place is family owned.  it looked like maybe they are lybian or algerian or something because one of the waiters name was hannibal (which is a carthagean name from ancient north africa) and everyone had dark hair who worked there.   but i digress.  on to the salad bar.  The salad bar was okay.  It wasn't the best.  The main problem was that it was messy, and the tongs were slippery with oil.  blech.  there wasn't a whole lot of fruit either.  BUT, they did have good lettuce, and the other stuff they did have was pretty nice.

Honestly, I would have given this place a 3 star, but it gets a two.  why?  because of that dang piss smell.  if they got rid of that, i'd bump it up a notch!

I really have only been here for the salad bar... it's great. Bunch of vegetables, ham, bacon, eggs, cheese and dressing... Sounds good to me! Might not be super but healthy, but I'm not big on health. I also tried out the wings and spinach/artichoke dip this time. The wings were great, crispy with a tangy buffalo sauce (could have used a bit more sauce), and the dip was also really good. However the chips they use are not the best I've had.

I have going to this Ruby Tuesdays since the mid 70s when you could smoke there.  The place has undergone several renovations and now is well upgraded with flatscreens at the bar and a nice automated bathroom.   The staff is freindly, the manager comes around and checks on things and the tables are laid out pretty well.   The tripe prime burger with unlimited fries is a great deal and tastes great.  My only complaint (other than wishing you could smoke there again) is that the food takes some time to be brought to you.  Once it took nearly twenty minuites (on a slow thursday nigiht) and the server did not offer us any free coupons for next time.

The food was like school cafeteria steam table food--cheap ingredients, mostly overcooked.  Ordered talapia with shrimp for $3 extra--shrimp were nickel sized and rubbery.  Veggie was broccoli--steamed to death.  The hostesses were indifferent to customers and fighting with each other.  The waitress didn't even bother to fill water glasses.    I came because of a 2:1 coupon, but it was overpriced at that.
    Definitely would not return!

Sorry.  I still don't like chains.

    More ammunition?

They ran out of the beer I wanted.  Ran out of the soup I ordered.  Ran out of the ribs my brother ordered.  Oh... and didn't serve pitchers of anything.

    And... they didn't apologize.

    Sigh.

And there were only 2 of us!

About a year or so ago, Ruby Tuesday began updating its menu and environment, and I've been fairly happy with it since. When asked to pick a casual sit down chain restaurant my go-to choice is Ruby Tuesday. While I get many confused and even disgusted responses, I'm adamant that Ruby Tuesday is not what many people remember it to be, for the better.

They've simplified in general and that's led to an overall better experience. The restaurants look more modern, with simple contemporary lighting and dishware. The whole look is a bit formulaic, but in no way is it a step back for them. The menu too is simplified, with the variety decreasing, but overall quality of those dishes increasing.

I really enjoy the burgers at Ruby Tuesday. They label them as "handcrafted" and although, yes, it's: (1) a "just a burger", (2) at a chain restaurant, (3) with a lab-doctored marketing name - it's still very tasty. They are simple, made with quality, fresh - not frozen - beef, which (as I've mentioned in other reviews) is key to a good burger. The Triple Prime burger tastes even better especially now that they've added the option of getting the Triple Prime with cheese and/or bacon. Previously only a "bare" Prime burger was available - no cheese, no bacon. The burgers are moist and delicious - and they are cooked to order according to your redness (rare to well done) preference. The fries are ok. They are crispy, sometimes even too crispy for me.

The white chili is interesting and tasty. To be honest, the rest of the food is better than old-school Ruby and somewhat comparable to Friday's-esque restaurants, but nothing worth writing about. Service is usually decent.

If you do go, go for the burgers.

I've heard that the salad bars vary by location and that some Ruby Tuesday locations have really good salad bars.  I wish the salad bar at this Rockville location was more stocked and had a wider selection.  The service was great and the servers were really nice and accomodating.  The environment was really nice for a chain restaurant and the setting was large and clean. Overall, still a pretty good choice for those seeking a late night salad bar.  Would I return?  No.  Unless I was really craving unlimited salad late at night and all the other salad bar restaurants were already closed.
