We have been to the Sal's in Ipswich and love their pizza - what the hell happened - did you lose the recipe in the 4 mile trip to Georgetown? Â Horrible first (and possibly last) experience at the new Sal's in Georgetown. Â The buffalo chicken pizza had neither buffalo sauce or chicken in any amount and was overcooked such that it was all dried out - inedible. Â The green pepper pizza was better but had hardly any peppers and was overcooked to a lesser degree than the buffalo. Â I understand that there might be growing pains, but not putting toppings on and/or burning pizza sounds like common sense to me. Â Borrow some people from the Ipswich location before you ruin your reputation.
Review Source:Sal's is our first choice for pizza even though we are in Boxford and there are many options that are more convenient. Â We love the oversized pizza - the crust and sauce is delicious and it is not greasy like many other pizza stores. Â The greek salad is relatively large, love the dressing. Â I'm not fond of the combination of black olives and greek olives, but the greeks are plentiful so no real harm. Â It does not come with a slice of pita bread - this would be an improvement. Â Service is always good - wish they took credit cards.
