Sal's Pizza

Went by yesterday, they are no longer in business at this location

We have been to the Sal's in Ipswich and love their pizza - what the hell happened - did you lose the recipe in the 4 mile trip to Georgetown?  Horrible first (and possibly last) experience at the new Sal's in Georgetown.  The buffalo chicken pizza had neither buffalo sauce or chicken in any amount and was overcooked such that it was all dried out - inedible.  The green pepper pizza was better but had hardly any peppers and was overcooked to a lesser degree than the buffalo.  I understand that there might be growing pains, but not putting toppings on and/or burning pizza sounds like common sense to me.  Borrow some people from the Ipswich location before you ruin your reputation.

Sal's is our first choice for pizza even though we are in Boxford and there are many options that are more convenient.  We love the oversized pizza - the crust and sauce is delicious and it is not greasy like many other pizza stores.  The greek salad is relatively large, love the dressing.  I'm not fond of the combination of black olives and greek olives, but the greeks are plentiful so no real harm.  It does not come with a slice of pita bread - this would be an improvement.  Service is always good - wish they took credit cards.
