Stopped in here for lunch while showing my family in from Georgia around the Bay Area. We all grew up on the coast and have had seafood for as long as I can remember. So of course we went for the clam chowder, crab cakes and so on and I must say, the clam chowder was the best I have ever had, period. Even better than some I've tried in New England. And after talking with one of the owners, Sam, he informed me that he used some ideas for his chowder from there, which is why its so good. The crab cakes were also amazing, but the white sauce covering them was a bit much for me, so with a simple slide with my fork, it was out of the way and on to my stomach. Highly recommend the bowl of chowder though, I had to go for seconds & thirds of it. Overall the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and the owner and his brother the Chef were very welcoming. Definitely a must place to eat when you find your way on that side of the Golden Gate!!

    Blah, over priced tourist trap.

Sadly, it seems like they do what lots of beach town restaurants do....uphold mediocre standards because they know most of their business won't be back anyways.

We prepared to have a really nice meal, just based on the prices and menu selection. I ordered the club sandwich. My fries were COLD and the sandwich was something I could make at home. Nothing special.

My partner got the fish and chips. Burnt fries, and overcooked fish.

Clam chowder was certainly decent, but nothing terribly special or different than anywhere else. Could have been chunkier

Our waitress seemed to hate us. Really, she was........just wow. The other staff seemed nice enough, and the bartender made me wish I would have just sat at the bar.

As every other table got served bread, we got none. Had to ask for waters.

The restaurant was....very average inside. Things were not kept up, it's very cramped, not terribly clean or nice. I've been in nicer Chili's.

For a $60+ tab, it was hugely disappointing. For future trips we'll be trying the Parkside Cafe or just bringing our own food.

Ok so here we go.  The place across the street (Breakers Cafe) was busy, so we decided on the Sand Dollar.  We were their first customers of the day 7/15/13.  We stood around for a couple of minutes waiting to be approached by staff. 2-4 minutes went by when the waitress saw us, the hostess ignored us.  We were sat, about 10 minutes went by (the hostess left and then came back with a brown bag and her and the waitress sat in the back and started to eat lunch from the bag).  The waitress came and took our order.  We ordered a bowl of clam chowder, 6 oysters on the 1/2 shell and a wedge salad.  If you want bacon on a wedge salad it cost extra.  We sat for about 20 minutes and one other table had come in and was sat next to us. A third table was sat at a 4-top and the hostess seemed a bit miffed as she told the couple they could only sit at the 4-top if it was not busy if it got busy they would need to move or leave.  Our waitress then berated the bartender for speaking Spanish to her.  She said "speak English I can not understand what the hell you are saying". this was said loud and in the dining room yes only 3 tables at this time but very inappropriate.

Our lunch came and the wedge salad was very good, I had paid extra to get the bacon.  The oysters were a bit dry but had no fishy flavor.  I asked but was never told what kind of oyster was being served.  The clam chowder was cold, after finally getting the hostess's attention she got the waitress and the clam chowder was reheated and returned to the table we asked if bread would be served with the soup and salad.  The waitress said not normally, she would see if there was any "day old bread" that she could serve.   The chowder was good not great, the "day old bread was very good"

While I believe  the Sand Dollar may have some very good up days we hit a very very low day.  This day the owner / manager should have been there, so they could deal with wait staff attitude. The food was good so this rating is all about inappropriate service and staff attitudes.

After a fantastic day hiking to Alamere Falls, our group of friends was eager for some dinner and drinks.  Stinson Beach was nearby and San Dollar was selected as our venue.  There was a bit of a wait, but we welcomed the break in the long day.

While we waited for our table, I ordered a snakebite at the bar to sip on while watching the game.  I think they used Woodchuck cider, which, when paired with the perfect amount of Guinness, was a perfect combination.  This was one of the better snakebites I've had.

When we were seated, the table started with bread and butter.  For a table of 10, we were only given two tiny baskets and, because the service was super slow, asked for more to tide us over.  We were told that bread would cost $1 per basket, which isn't a lot of money, but considering that we were about to spend $300 on dinner, was just wrong by principle.  Who does that?  That really left a bad taste in most if our mouths as we headed into dinner, which took FOREVER to arrive and came out of the kitchen at a staggered pace.  My fish and chips were totally forgotten until I asked.  When I received them, the fish was dripping with oil and the fries were overdone.  I wasn't terribly impressed with the food here and it really carried a pricey ticket for what it was.  I'd much rather have gone to the take out cafe instead.

Overall, I was really unimpressed with our experience at the Sand Dollar.  It might be one of the nicer places in the Stinson Beach area, but that really doesn't say much since it's kind of remote.  I love the area, but won't be back to this restaurant.

Poor service from a young women who obviously didn't care and generally bland and uninspired food. One of our group also got very sick after dinner.

Was here on July 4th. The food was fine and a live band was playing. Just two of us for a small lunch.

BUT, someone charged my credit card an amount different from what I wrote and signed for. I'm guessing they decided to increase the "tip" portion. The bill was $35ish and I gave $5ish tip, making it an even $41. However, looking at my cc transactions online later, I discover that I was charged $42.88. Of course the difference is only a couple bucks, but it's the principle of it. So unless there was a 20% minimum tip rule that I didn't know about, it just feels like theft.

As is my tradition, I run the Dipsea Race from Mill Valley to Stinson Beach. Of course at the 4 mile mark, under a scorching sun, I'm thinking Sand Dollar.....today with the Double Dipsea folks I limped into the Sand Dollar and was greeted by Nick the bartender. If there was ever a better bartender/server with  more sports knowledge and an ambassadorial demeanor....show me. This guy exudes class, food knowledge, local hints and does not discriminate between local and tourists. People if you want a low-hassle/killer oyster day with exceptional service....hit up the Sand Dollar and Nick!!! I recommend Oysters Bingo, Fish and chips and the mussels with fries to dip in broth!!

The first time I came here in 2011, I had a great time.  This first experience is what brings me back.  We were greeted and seated promptly outside in the warm sunshine.  They were quick to take our order and always had our waters refilled.  Their fish tacos and fries came out hot and delicious.

The second time I came here, they were closed despite what was posted for their hours with no explanation.  Boo!

The third time I came here, the experience was decent.  Crab cake was pretty good, but I've had better.  It sat neatly on top of a bed of greens.  The portion was small and I ended up having some of my mom's food to fill my stomach even though it was just mediocre.

The fourth time I came here just this past weekend, we waited for someone to greet us but servers kept coming and going without making eye contact.  We stepped closer to the inside of the restaurant in hopes that anybody would acknowledge us - the bartender, a server, etc.  Finally, we had to stop a server and he said that the hostess normally seats us, but go ahead.  What use is a hostess if she doesn't greet people?  Anyway, the food was pretty tasty this time around.  Our party ordered the fish taco (two fried fish tacos) and the tofu and avocado sandwich (tofu is fried).  Both were pretty good.

Overall, the food is inconsistent ranging from mediocre to delicious.  The service varies even more.  My first experience keeps bringing me back here, but I get disappointed so not sure if I'll keep coming back.

Short version: GREAT service in the middle of the week, weak service on the weekends.  Good food either way.

Longer version:  We ate here again last night - I had the fish tacos again, wife had the salmon, and a kid's cheeseburger.  Tacos were still good - but I think the tortillas were crumbly because of the sauce, not the lemon juice.  (I had to ask for the lemons, rather than them bringing them with the dish - but they were brought promptly). The fish was breaded and probably fried a little too long.  The salmon dish was great and the kid's cheeseburger was about what you'd expect in a kid's cheeseburger.  We had the chocolate lava cake - which was okay.

However, the real stand-out this time was the service.  Last time we ate on a busy Saturday night and had to ask for water refills several times.  Last night was a Wednesday night and our water glasses were never less than 1/2 filled and our waitress was extremely attentive.

While it's a small establishment, they could really benefit from adding additional staff on the weekends/busy nights.  The food was as good as I had last time and the service was much much better.

I've been here a few times over the past year and I just really like the ambiance of this place. It's in this wonderful tiny little beach town and it is a great spot to stop and have a bite and a beer after a day of hiking, surfing or whatever other outdoor sport you may be into.
I've had the oysters, calamari, sandwiches and a few of their wines and I enjoyed all of them. The patio is my favorite part to sit on and dine, but the inside has a lovely fireplace if it gets chilly at night and you need some warmth.

What a pleasant surprise to have dinner here with friends visiting from Michigan.  There was a live jazz duo playing when we arrived and the wait staff was very friendly and informative.  We shared the oysters "Sand Dollar Bingo" which has a creamy parmesan sauce and spinach (I could have NOT shared it).  I then had the clam chowder (which was super creamy and delicious) followed by the fish tacos (perfectly cooked cod with all the fixin's: salsa, sour cream and avocado).  Definitely will make a trip back!

Very poor quality and tasting food. I had fish and chips, which is a dish with little opportunity to make very good or bad. This particular fish was more greasy than average. My husband had buffalo wings, which were barely eatable in my opinion and completely uneatable in his. The pool of sauce poured over the chicken just didn't taste right and the chicken itself tasted like it wasn't fresh, which is strange because I'm not used to chicken taste coming through all the sause altogether. I ended up with a nasty aftertaste for the rest of the day. Definitely not something I would expect from a meal that ended up being around $40 (including coke and mud pie).
They have a very nice outside seating area though.

This has always been one of our favorite places, not so much for the food but because of the vibes. As soon as you walk in the door you feel like a local coming home from great adventure or nurturing yourself  after a rough day out in the real world.  The staff is always very friendly and several of them are long timers. Really great drinks from the bar at the front (my fave is the Manhattan made with Old Overholdt rye whiskey) , great BBQ oysters on the deck and pretty decent food. We trudged over from our place in Bolinas the other night and  the food was better than decent (a new chef? or did they just step it up a bit?). We had the the petrale sole and pasta with a ton of clams...both excellent. The deck is fun during the day. if you sit inside at night choose a table near the back and you'll really enjoy the  muted music from the jazz group out by the bar.

Popped in here to grab lunch this past weekend and ended up staying for like 2 hours! It was a gorgeous day and they had live music on the patio. The food was fantastic, in fact I'm going to re-create the salmon dish at home ASAP.

We ordered crab cakes and 6 oysters on the half shell to start, grilled salmon and fish n' chips as our entrees, and the berry cobbler for dessert. EVERYTHING was delicious. Our waitress was very nice, and efficient.

    Excellent experience all around!

I haven't tried the food here but I just called to find out if their patio area was dog friendly.  Not only is it not, but the person who answered the phone was extremely rude about it.  Not sure I want to try it out now.

After a day spent at the beach the wife and I wanted a beer and some grub... we stopped in because it was on the way out. We had 2 burgers and 2 beers. Half way through our burger the bill was dropped off, a bill of $40. Shocking. Never again.

Clam chowder - pretty good, not too salty, creamy and potatoes cooked soft. Clam pieces are small chunks. Not sandy!

Crab cakes - served with sauce on it, tartar sauce is almost just a mild cream ontop, prefer it without. Crab cakes themselves were ok, I liked the bell peppers in it.

Wish it was served piping hot, as it was just warm.. but maybe it was because they wanted to serve everything at once and we had a larger party...

So I haven't been to Stinson Beach in years but decided to drive over from Napa and spend the day there with my mom and a close friend. When my mom and our friend decided to have lunch we stopped by the Sand Dollar. Everyone was hungry and the place was packed. I ordered the chicken burger with lots of extra things like mushrooms, onions and blue cheese. When the food arrived my mom's fish and chips looked promising however my "burger" was a joke. A small sliver of chicken-more like a chicken tender rather than a breast-which one would expect if they were paying almost $15 bucks for a burger. Coming from Napa I am used to paying high prices but at least the food is always good. There was just a bunch of slop on an unseasoned sliver of chicken. Ugh it was gross. My mom's fish and chips was mediocre and we were still hungry after we finished our "food" so we ordered dessert. BIG BIG mistake! We ordered the seasonal fruit"cobbler" which consisted of a cup of stewed fruit -I think there were some strawberries and maybe some old apples? I don't know everything was a weird pink. Not really recognizable. The topping was a smeared mess of soggy oatmeal. Horrible,we ordered a scoop of ice cream as it did not come with this culinary atrocity and was charged an extra two dollars for half a scoop of ice cream! The meal consisted of two orders of greasy fish and chips, a gross "chicken" burger and a cup of stewed fruit. Including tip, I paid $80 for that honor.
The service was rushed and I was initially given an incorrect order that featured salmon, looked pretty good, however I am glad I looked under the bun before I took a bite as I am allergic to fish..... All in all a lackluster meal.  I would visit the beach again and the lovely shops but I would suggest going across the street to eat or come on over to Napa-we have lots of great restaurants where you can get a great meal for less than $80 bucks!!

If I could have given a 1/2 star I would've.  First off, no where on the menu did I see there is an 18% gratuity charge for parties over 5.  We were a party of 6, 3 were kids.    We asked our server 3 times to have someone turn on the heat lamp and no one ever did.  Our kids ordered off the kid menu--if you're not going to include drinks then state it on the menu.  Kids drinks and mine were 90% ice btw.  Once our food came we never saw our server again.  Portions were skimpy, flavorless, and completely over priced. We basically left hungry and feeling totally screwed.  Stay away from this place---do yourself a favor--enjoy Stinson then drive over the hill to Mill Valley--great food and great prices.

I'm not sure if an 8 mile hike had something to do with our appetite, but I have to say the food here was tasty.

We stopped by after seeing the sign "oysters" because we were looking for a snackie pit stop. Ordered half a dozen oysters, bowl of clam chowder, and the steamed clams. The table next to us had garlic fries and ahi tuna poke which looked really good as well.

The oysters were fresh, clam chowder was reallyy good, and lastly the clams were the best!!! A hearty bowl of steamed clams in a delicious garlic and white wine broth. The broth had a lot of garlic and white onion slivers that made it sweet and divine.

Will definitely stop by here again if we ever go to Stinson beach or hike at alamere falls.

Don't know what makes the food tasty its either the 7 mile hike that makes your stomach bang your head and say everything tastes good or maybe these guys do have something special. Whatever it may be the BBQ pulled pork sandwich was exactly what I was looking for.
The greasy sugary syrup was exactly the kind of fatty energy that makes me feel good. Well it really doesn't make sense having a review regarding pulled pork sandwich on a seafood restaurant but if its on the menu it got be reviewed. They have a nice outdoor section which is always full in the evening. What I kind of find difficult to understand is the service. Its sloppy, I needed to go find the hostess in order to be seated and servers really just ignore you. Maybe they have too many people to handle in any case I believe they can improve. Lets see next time

Outstanding fish and chips and wedge salad for lunch.  More than anything though, the off-menu daqueries on the rocks our server made at our behest were just what we needed after hiking Mt Tam.  Thanks for making it a great experience, Sand Dollar!

I'm stunned that there are any bad reviews here! I have to think that the people who had a bad experience are cranky people! Because if you go in there happy and polite you get it right back atcha. Staff seems to work endless hours and they keep on smiling. The steak with potatoes and salad is the best for a hearty meal, and the tuna tartare I think is the best app. Sit at the bar though and meet the most interesting people of all time. Ask the bartender to teach you the dice game. Order the mud pie house-special for dessert. Soak in the classic West Marin beach life scene. It's the best.

We were seated right away. My friend and I sat at the bar an ordered wine. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgable about the wine selection. The one he recommended was delicious. The atmosphere was quaint. Very small town everyone knows each other kinda vibe. The menu was much more sophisticated than I had anticipated. Due to our budget, we stuck with some cheap appetizers and the fish tacos. Everything we ordered came out fast and was delicious. For a quick late lunch in a cozy beach town I was happy we chose this place. Next time I am in Stinson, I will be stoping by.

I never give one star ratings but Sand Dollar is the lucky winner of my first one. Service was poor, the food is bland, they charge more than the final bill states and the manager is so unbelievably rude.  STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS CRAP HOLE AS YOU CAN!

Service: We stood at the door for way too long trying to figure out whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated and my boyfriend actually had to ask someone at the bar what to do when we weren't acknowledged. The waitress seemed sweet at first but she set our food down without saying a word a few times too many and she hit my boyfriend with a glass. I don't even know how but she barely apologized and rushed away to chit chat with another waitress. And on top of that- she gave herself a few extra dollars tip on my boyfriends debit card (see below).

Food: BORING. Calamari tasted more like fried oil than seafood and our burgers were bland.

The manager: Regardless of how standoffish the waitress was, we tipped about 20% and went on our merry way only to find out the waitress had added a few extra bucks to the tip on my boyfriend's card after we had left. When we called to let the manager know, he said most restaurants were doing this since the economy crashed. Not true. I have not been to a single restaurant that charges a few extra dollars due to the economy. That's outrageous and a bold faced lie. To make matters worse, the manager had an attitude and never apologized. He commented on my boyfriend's tone and the time we said we came to the restaurant (I estimated we came in around 2 pm and he was like cha cha cha we actually open at 3. Okay Sir Smartass but that's not what we called to talk about) but made no apologies about the service or the fact that they are charging more money than they had indicated on the receipt. I can't believe that pompous jerk had the nerve to get mad at US when they are lying to their customers. This restaurant is unethical, bland and not worth it. If bland food doesn't ruin it for you, the manager will.

I've been here twice after long hikes. The first time, we just missed the regular menu by 5 mins so had to order over-priced bar food. The $10 mac and cheese was not worth $10.
My second and most recent experience, was just ok. The oysters on the half shell are overpriced and small. Crab bisque was the soup of the day and pretty good.
So, overall its a small town atmosphere, with overpriced mediocre food, and ok service.

After hiking 7 miles through Muir Woods, we stumbled across downtown Stinson on the way to the beach. We were so exhausted that we didn't care what place it was as long as there was a bar. It just so happened to be the Sand Dollar that we limped into.

The place was completely empty when we walked in, so there were plenty of seats available at the bar. The place was also a restaurant and turns out they had seating out on the back patio also where some people were having an early dinner. Our bartender, Norbert, was very welcoming and made some good suggestions on food based on our state of fatigue. He kept a nice conversation going and even refreshed our memories on how to play liars dice. We ended up going with some light bites and refreshments including the Chicken Wings, Ahi Tartare, a Corona, and a Bombay Gimlet. The bar was very simple with no drink menu. Pretty much whatever you see was the menu. No blender, no mojitos, and only drinks straight up, on the rocks, or martinis were available. I liked it. I knew that if I lived in the area, you would definitely find me here at the end of every day.

Norbert was even nice enough to recommend us other means of getting back to the Muir Woods entrance because we were too exhausted to hike back. Thanks Norbert! We'll be visiting again the next time we go for a hike!

You could blind fold me, exchange my ten-dollar mac and cheese with a TV dinner and I wouldn't know the difference.

Went there for some oysters after a long hike. We got 6 mini oysters for $15 which was way too pricey and service was really bad. Also, they were really badly shucked, as there were lots of shell pieces inside and they did not even separate the oysters form the shell... For the price, that would be a minimum!
Felt pressured and the waiter was just not nice at all. Would not go back.

Whenever I come to Stinson Beach, I stop into the Sand Dollar. Decent brews on tap (i think there were 5) and a nice deck for the sunny days.

I've learned not to expect too much when dining in a small tourist town. They must learn how to make it on the sunny weekends during the fall, winter and spring, and survive through the week so they can be jammed full on summer weekends. Heck, there are only two restaurants in SB, and this one is far better than the other.

Two pints will wash down your lunch nicely!

As song as we walked in we were discriminated against because we were not white. The host told us there are not any tables available when we can clearly see 3 open tables.... HELLO! We had just gotten back from a crazy 2 hr hike and were too hungry so we said we would wait- he took us outside and a different server came to take our order- but were like we wanted to sit inside and since he was not white and i believe hispanic he helped us get a table inside. After a long wait - the waitress came to take our order and she seemed nice but nothing special.

The food was pretty good- especially the bread and calamari
I ordered the gourmet burger w mushroom- it was decent - nothing  to rave about. It is on the pricey side for what you get but their portions are large.

All and All it was okay. The entertainment was good- was a nice white man playing the guitar and he did not discriminate so that was nice! Def not going back

Live music during lunch was pleasant to listen to. The food, however, was just okay. It's nothing special and is at least $10-12 for what it is (sandwich or salad) compared to the lower cost if you were to end up making it yourself.

    Had:
the Mac n cheese (not cheesy enough)
    Club (average club sandwich)
Pear salad (pears not ripe and the portion of greens were tiny)
    Ahi tartare (needed more flavor)

Service was mediocre. Anywhere in a beachy town that gets so much traffic can care less about each customer. They're getting their money's worth anyway from the high prices that they don't need to be welcoming and energetic like normal waiters.

We have some friends who live in Stinson Beach, and they invited us to their local go-to for dinner.  Driving by the Sand Dollar, it looks like a divey beach snack shop.  It isn't.

This place is packed for dinner, so make reservations if you can.  They have an upscale menu with tons of yummy seafood options.  Try to get something with "local" in it.  I ordered the pan-seared scallops, my bf ordered the cider cooked pork chop, and our friends both ordered the sole.  We also ordered crab cakes.  These were by far the best crab cakes I have ever had.  Big, moist, and full of crab.  My scallops were wonderful, but I would have preferred a little more "sear" to them.  Friends loved the sole and said they always get it.  Bf's pork chop, sadly, was really dry.  I took a bite, and while the flavor was good, it was overcooked.

For dessert, we shared a bread pudding and a berry cobbler.  I am not crazy about dessert, but it was good enough.

The thing I really didn't like was the service.  Not unprofessional by any means, but they just didn't seem too concerned about our satisfaction.  I expect better people skills, especially for these prices.  Will I return?  Heck yes!  It was a great evening with wonderful friends and yummy food.  Aso, it's about as good as it will get at Stinson Beach.

My sister and I brought our mom here for Mother's day. What a great find in Stinson Beach! It has a casual atmosphere and the food was delicious.

We sat outside on the patio and the heaters kept us comfortable despite the cool breeze off the ocean. There was a live band which was fun and entertaining. Our favorites were the oysters bingo (similar to Rockefeller style) the wedge salad, fish tacos and the eggs benedict with a crab cake.

Last, but certainly not least, were the bloody marys. which were a little spicy but that's how we like them :-) We'll be back Sand Dollar!

I visited the Sand Dollar expecting a beach side tourist trap and was blown away.  These guys don't skimp on anything that I could see  The beef tar tar was not ground but chopped fresh meat seasoned vey well with the right amount of bread to accompany it.  The oysters bingo was spot on as was the fried calamari.  While the outdoor patio is the spot to be, the front porch couldn't be more like sitting on your on porch with more people watching.
My girlfirend had a great margarita while I stuck to my usual beer and a shot.  What was nice was as I walked in to get another round the bartender said "what's next Ben?  Big props on a bartender who can remeber names after one introduction.
Overall a no brainer on the way to the beach or just getting off.  Only downside is one in your group has to stay bone sober for the twisty ride home.

Love the garlic fries, and pulled pork sandwich as well as some of the soups and salads. Their lemonade is made fresh, and is absolutely amazing!

Great seating in and out with a fireplace, a table set up for chess and checkers, booths, benches and even a full bar with stools, including a piano and a huge TV.

The Sand Dollar is an experience unlike any other... It is a special place. The people,  the owners, the food, the drinks, the bar, the bartender, the music, the location... everything about it is unique.

When I go to the Sand Dollar, I make an evening out of it.  I usually stick around for a couple of hours, just eating, watching, drinking, laughing and talking with all walks of life: the tourists, the wealthy, the passers by and of course, the awesome locals. Its the type of place that is so laid back and so friendly, that all you want to do is hang out. Heck, even the dogs hang out. again, another touch of experience.

Oh, and yes, the food is really good! The gems are on the Specials that change regularly-- ALWAYS delicious. Recently had the Lamb Shank-- to die for! Melted off the bone. Burgers are always tasty, fish is always fresh. The Cod stew is a favorite. Seriously, I have NEVER had a bad meal here, and I bet if I did, I could talk to the staff or owner and they would HAPPILY whip something up that they know I would like.

On another note- I appreciate the owners as they continue to maintain and improve their restaurant and service while keeping the charm of the restaurant. It is freshly painted and looks amazing inside! I don't understand how anyone can complain about this place- restauranteurs have become so high-maintainance!!!! You know what, go to The French Laundry and live there. For me, I'll take the Sand Dollar any day of the week and weekend!

Come and hang out-- treat it like home and it will treat you the same. Thanks Sand Dollar-- I will happily drive 45 mins each way to come and escape from the day to day.

After a long day at the beach we were looking forward to a good meal. Sand dollar was open and seemed like a popular place. As we approached there were people in the porch area drinking and talking. The patio was also full so we opted for indoor seating.

The food was ok. 2 fish tacos for $10? Overpriced. Plus,I was never offered a refill for my iced tea. :-(

The bar (which was 3 ft away) had a very loud bartender...telling jokes that made no sense. But the thing that really irked me were the damn flies. Midway through the meal I looked up and saw that the white ceiling was full of gross black spots--flies. The whole time we ate they buzzed by. Ew...ew...gross. I'm sorry I have never experienced this (not even in Mexico!).

There was also a patron that had his dog blocking the entryway (without a leash) and that dog seemed to hate everyone that passed it. No one asked him to put the dog on a leash. Why?

Sand dollar, your experience left me wishing I could have paid the bill in exactly that form of currency.
