Similar to Steak & Shake but much, much better.
This location is always clean, staff friendly and service quick. Sometimes it can get loud and crowded. Stop in between lunch and dinner though and you can avoid all that.
Ample parking and additional entrances at the back of the building (which is actually part of a strip mall).
My husband & I normally get the burgers but I have tried the pork sandwich and the fish sandwich as well. Chili is good. Onion rings are a bit thick for me. They are the kind that sometimes refuse to be completely bitten thru and the onion part ends up slapping your chin in a most attractive manner. This I can do without even though they taste okay. I would have to recommend the cheese fries instead.
All in all this is the only chain burger place I go to. It's good for what it is. I wish we had them in Illinois.
stopped in during a thanksgiving-related visit back home when we just needed to duck out of the house for a bit; it was a nice blast from the past with decor, ambiance and memories to match -
had the fried pork cutlet sammich with mayo and lettuce and a double burger with fries and ketchup to share - and they were pretty darn tasty, too. Â getting a chance to play "the super bowl shuffle" for two-bits on the in-table jukebox was the master stroke ...
the whole experience was just what we were looking for that afternoon !
I really don't know what all of the hype is about. SERIOUSLY! It is just another greasy fast food burger with over salted fries and super sugary shakes.
Burgers are something amazing to me. I love topping them with everything but at the end of the day, the patty is the star. If the patty isn't up to par, then the entire burger is worthless. This is what I thought of the schoop's famous burger. The bun looked and tasted cheap, I am just not a fan. I really wanted to love this place since it is a local restaurant and hangout but couldn't.
