I went here on a very awkward first date, but I won't let that get in the way of my review. Â It was Valentine's Day and I didn't want to go to a place that would be romantic. Â He told me it was a "red neck" bar, which I instantly loved. Â Let me tell you dear reader, it is NOT Â a red neck bar. Â The bar area is marble and stone, it has a small area for a band that was not being used. Â Maybe I didn't see what he saw, but this is not what I picture when thinking about a red neck bar. Â
The menu had far more than bar food.  It all looked good.  I have to admit that I did look at other  yelp reviews and was bit apprehensive about the food.  I chose the steak salad.  It was wonderful.  I asked for medium rare.  The steak was perfectly cooked and well seasoned.  (not overly so, the meat had great flavor and was very tender) Â
From what I remember the wine list had plenty of choices and the bartender gave some great suggestions. Â Speaking of the bartender, she gave us great service. Â Attentive but not over bearing.
NPWH. Â This is a great bar with really good food and exceptional service. Â I worked with them to host a party and they could not have been more cooperative. I have been happy with everything I have ordered except once the bartender talked me into the cheese sticks. Â Unlike most bars that buy them frozen, they bread them in-house which I can appreciate, but they are too big and gushy. Â
People who think this place is expensive should get out more.
