Awful, awful awful!
I try to forgive a lot of mistakes in service because I know these dudes are making like two bucks an hour. Â I will always forgive a small mistake here and there, because we're all human and I'm not going to yell at some poor kid for bringing me the wrong drink. Â I do get upset when my waiter comes off as a petulant brat who antagonizes me for correcting his mistakes or, god forbid, asking to split a check.
The woman who sat us down and took our drink order was good. Â Unfortunately, she didn't stick around and we ended up with some kid in basketball shorts. Â He forgot parts of our order and didn't bother to apologize or look like he even gave a shit when we asked him to bring the forgotten elements back. Â Two drinks were refilled and *slammed* on the table (what the hell dude), and I was never even offered a second drink. Plates were obviously set off to the edge of the table and weren't cleared, the menus didn't even get picked up! Â Look kid, these are fundamentals.
When we asked to split the check, he sighed audibly and said, "Look, next time you should let me know beforehand." Â Many mistakes followed this, but the biggest one was assuming there would be a next time at all. Â It took about twenty minutes of hemming and hawing before we finally considered just paying for our meal at the hostess stand. Â The waiter finally came back and rattled off the prices we would be paying, without any itemization or indication that he didn't just make up the prices from the top of his head. Â Great! Â We didn't even see the price of our meal in writing until he brought us some crappy little receipt slips to sign.
I didn't really comment on the food because it was bland and completely forgettable, if not outright bad.
Uuuuuummmm. YUM. Â Yumalongadingdong!
Sooo soooo sooo good. Â I love their pizzas. I've had several of their specialties and I"m always happy. The crust is not too thick and not too thin.
Their salad is woooonderful with fresh veggies including olives (none for me please), green peppers, roma tomatoes, red onion all piled on a fresh lettuce with white cheese.  There are tons of house made dressings and I love the vinaigrette and  ranch.  YUUUUM.
Buuuut my MUST eat is now their pasta. Â Holy cow - so delicioso! Â The vodka sauce comes in three "heats" and I get the mild. Â It has a nice little kick. Â They also are very generous with portions and I literally get to eat it three meals in a row. Â NOT that one needs to. Â You get to choose the kind of pasta, the kind of sauce and then add meat if you'd like. Â I like the grilled chicken and it's always very tender.
I also REALLY enjoy their pesto garlic bread and the marinara goat cheese appetizer. Â SERIOUSLY good. Â
I had lunch in the restaurant recently and the service was a solid B+. Â The delivery is always right at 30-45 minutes even on Fridays, which is pretty good around here. Â The food is just so good.
I will say this is one of the more expensive pizza places in town but OMG. Â I just love their creative flavor options, vast menu and awesome appetizer choices. Â My advice SHARE - get one pasta, one medium pizza and one small salad and four of you will have at least two meals (unless someone gets REALLY hungry, which is possible with this awesome-sauce food).
Yuuuuuuuuumalongadingdong!
Stopped in with the family after a youth football game for dinner. Â The place is clean and the atmosphere is nice enough; suitable for kids and families, though not a whole lot of seating. Â
Our service was good from seating to serving, we were a group on nine and he handled us no problem. Â
Our group ordered garlic bread and roma bread as appetizers. Â The garlic bread was wonderful but the roma bread didn't really taste like anything (then again, it's more of a dipping bread), the herbed marinara that came with the roma bread was to die for, as was their ranch dressing - THE BEST we've ever had in any restaurant.
We ordered a cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and The Bomb (vegetarian with pepperoni and sausage). Â Each of them were delicious and heated up beautifully the next day as leftovers. Â
Bottom line, we have visited several pizza places in the area after moving here three months ago (Toppers, Pizzology, Jans, Bellacinos) and this is our new favorite place - we will be back often.
Bonus for having the Arnold Palmer on the menu!
Some Guys is a all-around good locally-owned neighborhood pizza joint. Â Plenty of in-house dining, and you can get your food to go if need be. Â Their pizza is what I would grade as a B--lots of cheese, plenty of sauce, some creative toppings available, straightforward crust, sometimes on the greasy side. Â But not to sell them short, they also have some very good pasta selections (usually there's a special du jour), and their salads are excellent (try the house dressings!). Â To top things off, they have a small selection of decent microbrews, including some of the local folks like Sun King and Upland.
Review Source:For our group of 8, we shared the large classic pizza along with the special pizza. Both were very good. Love the cheese and their sauce. I will comment that this location has very little atmosphere and no personality. Very bland - practically destroys the mood. If you want true wood oven baked pizza with personality and atmosphere, go to their sister location south on Allisionville Road off 62nd street. Be prepared to wait. It's very popular.
Review Source:Some Guys is possibly my favorite pizza place in Indy at the moment. Â Not only is it five minute from my parent's place, but the prices are reasonable, and it has a mom n' pop feel---but if your "mom n' pop" were really awesome, and not intro country kitsch, and told all your friends to call them "Bob" and "Linda". Â
My favorite by far is the 4 Cheese, which taught me that, yes, pecans DO belong on a pizza. Â also, that it is completely unneccessary for a great pizza to have sauce. Â To be honest, though, all of the pizzas are great, so you should just keep coming back until you've tried them all. Â
The staff here are great, completely accomodating and wonderful. Â They close at nine Sun-Thurs, and 10 Fri-Sat, but I've definately walked in at 9:50 pm and not been given any grief or even a glare over it. Â Next time you decide on something local, skip Bazbeaux and head out to SomeGuys.
I love the  Some Guys Pizza in Carmel.  The last time we were there, they did not make my son's pizza with the correct toppings and they let him keep the wrong pizza, made him a new pizza and didn't charge us for any of our dinner including mine.  Everyone makes mistakes, but I believe how you act when you do is the real test and they "made it right" without me really asking. All I asked for was for them to make a pizza with the correct toppings.
I LOVE the house sausge pizza. It has goat cheese on it and it is divine. I've had many other pizzas there and most of them have been good. (The Margarita is a little bland, and one of the things that keeps me from giving 5 stars.) Â The other thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is that while the servers are always friendly and polite, there are times when service is slow and they servers are hard to find.
Great food, reasonable prices and pleasant waitstaff. Â Since there isn't a California Pizza Kitchen anywhere around, this place has the Thai Chicken pizza that I crave. Â It's good pizza, but on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give the pizza an 8.
It's definitely worth going to and always seems to be packed.
