We usually go to S&S at least once when we are in Indy. Â Lorenza ordered her standard Frisco Melt with a side of beans. Â I ordered one of there new spicy chicken pepper sandwiches, forgot the name.
When served I asked for Frank's Hot Sauce. Â When I went I went to apply it I discovered I had the Hamburger version! Â I very rarely eat red meat, but being hungry ate it and found it to be delicious!
As I devoured the burger, I noticed Lorenza grimacing as she took a second bite of the Frisco Melt. Â She stopped and deconstructed the sandwich too discover a very over cooked and dry burger in side. Â We called the server over and asked if the had a new cook. Â No she said and agreed to sandwich was unacceptable. Â She quickly replaced it with one which delighted my wife.
The manager came over and apologized and took the charge for the Frisco melt off our bill.
Compliments to addressing a potential disaster. Â My biggest question is how did this shoe leather quality sandwich get passed an experienced chef. Â Mistakes happen, but there is no excuse for this sloppiness. Â Steak and Shake risked the possibility of losing a long time customer. Â Good customer service saved it!
