I have high praise for Soul Amici!  I used the train station as a venue for a baby shower for my daughter and Soul Amic'i's chef provided the catering.  Lynne, the owner, was easy to work with and helped stage  a very lovely event.  The food was just wanted I wanted....tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, etc.. The drinks were good too.  There was plenty of everything!  Most of our guests mentioned what a great venue and caterer I'd chosen!!
I would recommend the catering services without reservation.
I went here with my mom for a quick dinner to bring home when Soul Amici first opened. We ordered two sandwiches and two sides. It was very pricey. I remember speaking with the head chef, who kept saying that he was an excellent chef because of his Italian heritage. Once we got home with our food, the bread was soggy on both sandwiches (we are a five minute walk away from Soul Amici). Big turn-off. The mozarella cheese on the first sandwich was obviously cheap cheese because it had no taste. The vegetables on both sandwiches were cut too large, so it was difficult to eat the sandwich. The only pleasant treat from Soul Amici was their macaroni and cheese. It was very tasty and soulful.
It's odd because the tables for Soul Amici are placed randomly throughout the train station. So it's awkward for both commuters and diners to share the same space.
Overall, I would pass on going back to Soul Amici. It's a shame because I really wanted this restaurant to be a success because of its convenient location.
My wife (who is wheat intolerant) and I had dinner here about a month ago and absolutely loved it! The gluten-free selection of pasta and the quality of the gluten-free pizza crust was out of this world. The sauce was moderately heavy on the garlic, but that's the kind of sauce my wife and I love. Overall, it was a great dining experience.
Review Source:Finally a place to grab some morning snacks or something to drink while waiting for the local late train! They have a decent selection but the meals are a bit too pricey for my taste. One request: we know you're there, please stop rearranging the commuter seating to make us face you lol
