Probably one of the best sunsets in the world.  Amazing cocktails to pair that notion.  Yes, it is pricey but 100% worth it.  Whether you're with family or on a date, it is a great pick.

My favorite place for a sunset cocktail!  You are overlooking a gorgeous golf course and the ocean while you sip a martini sitting by a fire pit with family and friends! They have great sushi rolls that you can snack on for appetizers. Their crab and lobster dumplings are delicious too!
    It's pricey but worth it..
You do not have to pay admission into Pebble Beach if you are going to the hotel!

Sunset, cocktails, bagpipes, and fire pit equal heaven on earth.  Roys and the fun bar, Traps are just a plus.  Obviously over priced but everything is in PB, so you expect it.

How can it get better than this?!

Sitting by a fire pit while the sun is setting and a Scottish looking man is playing the bag pipes for you and your beloved friends and/or family, next thing I know we are being served the best wine I have ever tasted (wish I can remember the name) all my senses were being stimulated taste, touch (warm fire), sight (the beauty of the ocean)= Well most of the senses that matter.

The appetizers: calamari is what we had and it was out of this world with flavor and depth of taste. Not the typical calamari appetizer.

And you can let the kidos play on the beach :-)

I really enjoy being able to sit outside, have a cocktail/glass of wine, a cheese board & look at the ocean and green scenery that surrounds me.  The Spanish Bay Patio Bar is fantastic because all of these are wrapped up into 1!  There are several firepits outside with different kinds of seating and several spots to accommodate groups, large or small.  We sat at one of the firepits, turned it up nice and high and enjoyed the warmth since the wind kicked in a little bit.  Our waitress Kristin was very nice, accommodating and prompt with every request we had.

The wine we enjoyed was decently priced per glass, the cheese board was delightful with an array of cheeses, jam and bread/crackers to compliment.  The Patio Bar offers an array of other selections as well to fulfill anyone's style or pallet.

This is a perfect spot to enjoy conversation with friends or family and relax.  I would definitely return here in the future and excited for that day!

In a word: Magical. Came here a couple weeks ago for drinks at Sunset and to listen to the famous bagpiper play while walking the holes along the ocean. We got here around 5, and for November, it was pretty crowded. The bagpiper starts playing/walking around 5:30/5:45, so I'd recommend getting there early, especially during the peak busy season (Spring and Summer). There are beautiful outdoor firepits and cozy chairs, and you're sitting with a gorgeous spanning view of one of the best golf courses in the world, listening to the ocean at sunset, and drinking a beverage of your choosing. What could be better?!?

Note: Don't be put off by all the $$$$ on Yelp. My glass of wine was around $10, and amazing (and strong) cocktails are around $11-$12. Definitely on par with the "norm" in San Francisco, so we weren't put off by the prices. Power move would be to watch the sun go down with a few drinks, and then drive the rest of the 17 mile drive into Carmel for dinner.

    I'll be back soon!

Is it possible that it can get better than this?  The Fire Pit place is FANTASTIC, bagpipe players serenade the guests, the service is fast and efficient, the food uber delish and blankets are all over in case, you get cold!

This place is fab!  I would highly recommend!

If not for just the experience, the drinks are superb (a tad overpriced, yes) and the fire pit was warm.  Alongside the cozy bottom of my wife, life had been reduced to the simplest inner joy and peace. Scotch for me and an Old Fashioned for my honey.  the fog rolled in just before sunset, and then...

Ah, ye olde bagpiper. Come and wrest me from the travails of the links. Bring mine heart to thy breast and warm my troubled soul with thou deepest notes.

    Slant e'.

We stopped for a drink at sunset.  If you're into people-watching, especially people who want to be seen and shouldn't, this is the place.  Bar service was slow and sloppy, we had to ask for pretzels, and they were pathetic.  Table not wiped down, had to ask twice.  Even then it was dinged and covered in watermarks.  Except for the location, which is incredible, this place a total pass.  As my wife said, next time I'd enjoy more a vodka tonic in a paper cup on the beach.

Absolutely amazing! We were here on a beautiful day, with a gorgeous sunset, and couldn't have been happier. The wine list was great, the food was delicious, and to top it off, Betty White showed up soon after we got there and sat two tables away. Appetizers and food for four, plus a bottle of wine, came to about $200, so it's not cheap here, but SO worth it.

I live locally and this is one of my favorite spots to take visitors. The drinks are expensive but keep in mind, you are not just paying for the beverage.
Here are some of the things you can enjoy:
    1. Breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.
    2. A bagpiper playing every night.
    3. World class service.
    4. SPECTACULAR sunset. Sometimes golden and fiery other times lovely pinks and purples.
    5. Gate fee paid for.
    6. Cozy fire pits.
    7. Views of the legendary Spanish Bay Golf Links.

I highly recommend you check it out!!

Uncomprising views of the Pacific and world-class Spanish Bay Golf Course, where many illustrious golfers come to test their skills. Every seat on the sweeping patio affords admirers a compelling view of the most majestic natural beauty on the Peninsula. When we walked out onto the patio, I was awe-struck with all the abounding beauty and serenity.

Yesterday was an absolutely beautiful day, with temperatures hovering around the high-60's for mid-December. For those chillier days, fleece blankets are available upon request and large fire-pits are at the ready.

My review weighs heavily on the views and location. The drinks are a bit pricey; general prices falls somewhere in the $9 - 16 range for wine and the $12 - 16 range for cocktails. They are good-sized and are mighty strong with a harmonious confluence of liquor mixtures. The drink menu is extensive with creative elixirs, coffee drinks and local and imported wine. The food menu is small but eclectic and very tasty. We sampled the Spanish Bay Half-Pound Cheeseburger, the Artichoke & Spinach Dip and a sushi roll (I forgot the name, sorry). The Cheeseburger was your typical cheeseburger with all the fixin' and served with a nice side of fries. The sushi roll was good but not what we were expecting (with Roy's Restaurant being next door, we thought it would be fantastic). The highlight was the Artichoke & Spinach Dip -- it was warm, creamy and well-flavored (served with toast and crackers). I had to exercise some restraint to not up and lick the bowl :-) There is a nice array of food selections, including calamari, spring rolls and chicken sandwiches.

This is the perfect spot to take in some great drinks and some of the most beautiful vistas imaginable.

Great spot for pre-dinner cocktails.  The "Pebbletini" vodka martini with blue cheese-stuffed olives was pretty good, but not outstanding.  The hot chocolate w/peppermint schnapps was also good according to my boyfriend.  Drinks around around $14 each.  Nice atmosphere around the fire pits, service is friendly.

We love to go here for a drink- wrap ourselves in a blanket and wait for the bagpiper to start playing.

Inn at Spanish Bay Patio Bar is nestled among majestic Monterey pines and fronted by a Scottish-style golf course links some of the most breathtaking coastline in the world. I enjoy sitting with loved ones sipping a Roy's Pineapple Martini by the fire pit enjoying the views. As the sun begins to set, a scottish bagpiper begins working his way around the golf course and ending in front of guest sitting on the terrace. The steady sway of ocean waves lends hand to the sweet sounds of serenades. Oh how I look forward to the next time I go.

If the sun is out, this is one of my favorite spots on the Monterey Peninsula to unwind and watch the sun set to the sound of a bagpiper as he walks the links at Spanish Bay.  The fire pits are warm and if you ask the server for a blanket, they will bring you one as it does cool off quickly once the sun gets down.  This is by far the best spot on the Monterey Peninsula to watch a sunset and have a glass of your favorite beverage.

We went to a few places around Pebble Beach and didn't like the vibe, too upscale for us but when we came across this patio bar we were pleasantly surprised!  There are fire pits out on a patio that overlooks parts of a golf course as well as out over the ocean.  Unfortunately, we didn't get a spot next to a fire pit since it was Labor Day weekend and pretty busy.  I am only giving 4 stars because the seat we chose happened to be the only seat next to a heater that was not working.  We asked our server to turn it on and after waiting a really long time, another server came and said it was out of propane but failed to replace it for us.  If I am paying 15.50/drink and it is freezing outside, I'd like to at least be warm!

When you enter the 17 mile drive and pay $9.50 to get in the gate, you are allowed to use your receipt of $9.50 towards restaurants in the Pebble Beach and Spanish Bay areas which I thought was pretty cool!  They also have a bagpipe player daily at 5:30pm!

Overall, when I become rich... I'd love to come back and would definitely recommend to my rich friends.

awesome views of course and ocean...bagpiper playing was a nice touch.  Fire pits were great and needed, it was pretty cold sitting out at dusk.  They also had blankets available to use which was nice, however it seemed like they did not have enough to go around ( it was very busy).  drinks were good but pricy (to be expected).  Would be five stars except for our individual server was not very friendly...borderline rude.

This has got to be one of the most beautiful spots in the entire world to share a drink with friends.

First off, it's outside facing the ocean so you think you are going to freeze your ASS off right? Nope! The outside gas fire pits (eco friendly I am told) throw tons of heats, so rest assured your buns will be shivering.

There is also a light food menu, so if you want something more than just a martini, you can grab yourself a club sandwich or burger and enjoy some amazing ocean views.

Come just before sunset and be treated to some live bagpipe music. I do believe he may have missed a note or two, but Hell they are bagpipes! You try and do better.

This place is perfect for a weekend get away!  Came here for a walk around the golf course and ended up staying a couple hours sitting on the patio.  Fire pits, great view, cool drinks and excellent service made the afternoon everything I was looking for that weekend.

Place gets pretty busy around 5:30, most likely for the bagpiper that's plays at sunset, but there are plenty of seats. A must see/stop!

Perfect for the cigar or the blunt you rolled. The outdoor heaters add a fine touch for the romanticness and the beach is such a yummy scene! Mimosas in the morning are a must, too. This is an everyday thing, you have to live it up! :)

My husband got an Irish Coffee and I had a Bloody Mary. $30 for both before tip. Don't get me wrong, the drinks were delicious. Bloody Mary was spicy and ice cold. The Irish Coffee had fresh cream on top.
You definitely pay for the view which is amazing.  I have never sipped a drink, usually I chug but it was worth it to drink it slow enough to enjoy the sun, sea and sounds. We were there at noon and my husband has been there for a cocktail party in the afternoon. I would love to go back when it was late enough to sit around the fire pit and hear the bagpipes!

This is the creme de la creme. I love coming out to the Patio on a nice night, watch the sunset and have a "Blushing Bagpiper", even better if we go to Roy's for dinner. Pebble Beach employees rock and really treat you like you're the only guest there. My fav place to go on the Peninsula.

Very nice. It's so hard to beat an outdoor luxury patio with Pebble Beach views.  Fire pits, comfy furniture right on the amazing Pacific Ocean. Pricey but worth it. The calamari is great as well.

After a rough night of Beer Drinking contests, sausages and even more beer I found myself redressing in my car.  Luckily I had my weekend bag from my trip to the city and Napa with me so I pulled a Clark Kent and off I went to meet up with my Mother for a Fashion Show Luncheon at Spanish Bay thrown by the Women's Club of Carmel valley.

Still dizzy, I made it through the lunch and did a little silent auctioning but when the festivities were over I was drained.  Needed to sit down and rest for a sec.  I walked on over to my favorite patio with most spectacular view.  Always request a blanket as it is uaully chilly and a bit windy.

I sat outside a watched a couple young men play a little golf and breathed in a lot sea air which was calming and quite refreshing.  I found my Mother a little later and she sugggested that we relaxed in the lobby.   She had a Keoki Coffee and I had one of their Elixers... a refreshing mix of club soda, apricot syrup and herbs.  It was supposed to help my hangover and I'm not sure if it did or the whole relaxing experience near the bay.

Sure its pricey, but it has one of the best outdoor patio anywhere to be found.  With a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and outdoor fire pits, this bar is an amazing place to drink while gazing out into the wild blue yonder.
