Spasso Ristorante & Wine Bar

We love this place.  They have great food and they are SUPER friendly to families.  They have such a nice variety - you can order a good steak or risotto or a very nice pasta.  The cocktails are good as is the wine selection.  And they have good choices for kids too.  The wait staff is phenomenally friendly.  The owner is SUPER nice.  Highly recommend.

Was forced to come here because the wait at Town was too long...

however I was pleasantly surprised!!!

I thought as we came in that it was just another Olive Garden type Italian Restaurant but it was much better!

I ordered the Veal Tortellini and it was great. The veal was cooked perfectly and the sauce was amazing.

My cousin ordered the King Salmon and it was perfect as well with veggies that were steamed to perfection.

Service was great and they checked on us multiple times.

My only gripe was the bread that came out was cold and chewy, not warm at all yet burnt. Seems like we got the left over bread.

I will definitely visit here again as I love an authenic Italian restaurant!

I am sorry to give this restaurant just two stars but was pretty disappointed.  First let me say that the staff are extremely nice and welcoming.  The bread and oil and vinegar dip were delicious.  However, the rest of the meal went downhill after that.  My husband ordered a salad with his meal and I knew they forgot it when my daughter got her Cesar salad and no green salad came for my husband.  The waiter realized his mistake and apologized.  He did offer to comp the salad but it was too late as the main meal was being served.  We had the crab spring rolls for an appetizer.  They were ok.  I had the cannelloni.  The sauce seemed like any tomato sauce out of a can.  My daughter had the seafood pasta.  The portion was good and food tasty.  My husband had the filet mignon.  It was good but the mashed potatoes served with it were horrible.  They were lumpy and had an overwhelming blue cheese flavoring.  Our meal came to $116.  That is a lot of money to spend for a so so experience.  Also, I went to the bathroom before I left.  Of course, it is hard to clean up after every visitor but the bathroom floor was dirty and as I passed the kitchen there was dirt all over the floor.  I hope that is just the nightly dirt that comes along with the tasks of the work.
