Sometimes I go here and try to study while having a beer.

    This place is A-ok.
Its bar food.  They have good wings ( i love the dale style) and mozerella sticks.
Love that you can come here and lick your fingers, (hey you're eating wings.. dont try and be so fancy)
They have a pretty decent beer selection & certain nights they have certain beers on special although usually nasty ones like budweiser, but whatever.. some people like that beer.  Its a great place to kick back and watch a sporting event, as it can get pretty rowdy.

Bathrooms are pretty nasty, if they were ever to take care of that issue (consistently) I'd give them 4stars

I came here because I had wanted to watch the NBA playoffs and eat really good wings.  The wings were good but definitely NOT the best wings ever.  My order of order of wings was too dry for my liking. Reasonably priced though - on Monday nights, they have a 55 cent wing special.  I didn't try other items on the menu. I found the service to be good.  My waiter was attentive and funny.

    ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!!!

I cant believe this place has ANY good reviews whatsoever. I am not one to write reviews or complain about a restaurant at all, but my experience was just so horrible that I had to.

It was a little busy when we got there, but nothing too extreme. We were the only ones to sit at the bar (party of 2). The bartender seemed overwhelmed and gave us little to no attention.

We ordered a glass of wine and chicken wings to start. The bartender poured my glass the right amount (right above the bend of the glass) and I gave her the rest of the order. The chicken wings were not good. They were overcooked and over seasoned, nothing worth praising.

The bartender never came back to ask us how our wings were, never pre-bussed the table to take away the dirty plates and napkins, couldn't even take away the menus. She forgot to bring out the celery for the wings and said it would be coming out with the rest of the food. The rest of the food was delivered but no celery... We had to ask again before we finally got it.

We ordered the jerk chicken ceasar salad which was fine (dressing is more of a vinaigrette not typical creamy ceasar), and jalapeno poppers which were SOO SCORCHING hot and super overcooked that they weren't even spicy anymore.

The staff seemed as if they were all playing games and didn't want to take care of any customers.  Finally the bartender came back to take away our pile of plates, but again never asked if we needed anything more (mind you I have had an empty wine glass for about 15 minutes that I would have liked to been refilled). As I attempted to tell her I would like a refill, she ran off. I finally got her attention to ask for a refill, and she goes, "Oh you want the check?"

Now comes the kicker. As she poured me the new glass I noticed the pour was a significant amount less. I drink enough wine to know what a standard pour is. We told a server who walked by (bc the bartender was no where to be found- shocker) and she said we were wrong, they only poured 4 oz glasses and said she would get the manager. The manager walks up to the bar, but instead of taking care of us and our issue, he sees his friend sitting right next to us at the bar and decided to have a full blown conversation with him. Conversation time with his buddy was more important than taking care of his customers. AS SHOCKED as we were to sit there and hear them talk about their weekend while we had a customer complaint, I could not handle it anymore and interrupted him to give us our check. I told him to not even worry about the glass of wine, that I didn't want it anymore, and that I just wanted to leave. He then proceeded to TRY and act like a manager. He did little to nothing to resolve our issue.

We got our check and never saw the bartender again. That will be the last time we ever step in that place. OK FOOD, POOR SERVICE, POOR STAFF, AND HORRIFIC MANAGEMENT. If the restaurant got new management and staff, then maybe its something worth talking about.

The best chicken wings I have ever had.  If you like dry wings (not saucy), then their Special Grilled wings are truly a MUST HAVE.

Please note, they serve the whole wing, which many people (myself included) like because you can nibble on the wing tips to get more of their great flavor.

The decor is nice and the inside is clean.  It's a fairly typical bar setup, but the staff is always very friendly and their is always someone to greet you immediately after you walk in.  Highly recommended.

The sole reason Sports Grill gets the 5 stars is because of their Special Grilled wings. You can search far and wide for wings as good as these but it just isn't going to happen. The fact that they are grilled and not fried is great, but the sauce they coat these wings in is incredibly addicting! As far as everything else is concerned, you can expect typical sports bar food. To their credit though, all of the food is good. Their beer selection is always good and I've never had a problem with the service. Even when they have a big game on one of the many TV's, a server is never too far away. Sports Grill is pretty much everything you could ever want in a sports bar...and again...those wings...a-maz-ing!

    Special Grill wings?  Yup!

    Traditional Buffalo wings?  Don't!

    $.55 wings on Monday (4p-close) - can't beat that with a bat.

$8.50 domestic/$10.50 import pitchers Monday and Thursday - that's nice!

Free giveaways on Monday and Thursday nights too (I got a t-shirt and a coaster).

Parking can get hairy, but you'll find something eventually.

Restrooms can get rough by closing time.

Other than that, this place is tip top...

The food is great, but the girls that work there are just retarded. They could almost never get an order right when I go there. Besides that this place is great! I mean how much can you expect out of a bar! See you guys next week!

I've been putting off reviewing this place because there are a bunch of them now and it's not easy to reconcile your opinion about a chain. But I'll give my 2 cents for the Sunset location because that's the one I've always preferred and frequented the most.

I've been hard pressed to find bar food this good anywhere in the country. If you like wings, please do yourself a favor and try Sports Grill. I used to swear by the buffalo wings, but I've slowly been converted to the special grilled. (Ask for them double dipped. Thank me later.) You can also get a split order. 20 wings. half buffalo, half garlic, for example.

We once tried the Miami Heats. That was pretty painful. If you like hot, give it a shot. But prepare to have your lips burned off.

I've heard great things about the burgers but I can't go here and not have wings so I can't personally vouch.

As for their sides, their fries are pretty good and crispy and so is the garlic toast. But my ultimate favorite is and always has been the jalapeno poppers. I had them here for the first time and I've never been able to find poppers done this way anywhere else. They're always inferior elsewhere. The Sports Grill poppers are made with cream cheese, not cheddar and served with a pepper jelly sauce. No other sauce even compares.

I'm literally dragging my friend here in 20 minutes because writing this has given me a serious crackhead craving.

Added tip: if there's a Heat/Dolphins/UM/Marlins game on, prepare to wait at least 45 minutes to be seated. Plan accordingly.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST WINGS IN MIAMI.  I drive all the way from Miami Beach for the wings.  Never order anything else but the special grilled and the BBQ.  I have converted many to this place. It's like a religion. Yes, the wings are that good.

Note: Not the cleanest place, and service is typical sports bar.

Note 2:  Sunset is the best location.  There is a new location in North Miami Beach, but they are still working out the kinks.

Seriously, they really do have the best wings in Miami. Favorite flavor-specialty grilled. There sweet potato fries are finger licking Good. Mozzarella sticks are ok, you are not missing anything with the nachos and cheese-tastes just like something u can make at home. Last but not least, don't leave without making room for their cheesecake dessert. Can we say wow, this thing has a layer of chocolate fudge between the Graham cracker crust and cheesecake. It was delicious. It's topped with caramel, I'm not crazy about caramel but it was definitely an amazing dessert. Give it a try!

Tvs- everywhere! U can watch any game from any of the seats.
    Service- always fast always great
Wait time- Its usually bad but we found seats as soon as we walked in, no wait which I loved.
Liquor- no hard liquor or smirnoffs, just beer and wine

My fellow Yelpers did me wrong! So wrong!

Now I can look beyond the styrofoam plates...

    obnoxious music...

    shaky service...

However when food this simple is meh at best and somehow has multiple 5 star reviews, I become skeptical.  I mean... I love me some wings, but several claims that these are the best wings in town?? That's just crazy!  I followed your recommendations and ordered their Special, their Miami Heat and teriyaki.  Their hot sauce was not all that and the teriyaki was dry and had more of a smoked flavor than teriyaki.

Although I have to admit, they have some really nice tv's so if you don't have one at home, want to watch a game and have a few drinks with some mediocre food then this is your place!

Unfortunately, I came to this place to eat and left completely disappointed.  In fact, I was kicking myself for not going to that place down the street. NOW those are some good wings!

Felt like wings and dropped by for a take out. Place was PACKED and loudloud.
The wings tasted like spicy pieces of fried cardboard. Is this what everyone raves about?
    Shame on you

Start off by slapping yourself if you consider places like Hooters, Chilis, etc as the hot bed of wings.

Next I want you to look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself "Hey self, what has me Yelping this place to see what the reviewers have to say?" if you consider yourself a Miami resident and haven't heard the reputation of these wings SHAME ON YOU! Fire your entourage and get yourself some friend that add value.

Come get the special grilled wings. If you want to flip the script mix in some teriyaki wings and THANK ME LATER (Drizzy Voice).

I've been coming to this place since high school, especially after half-days and just hanging out with friends so it holds a special place in my heart. That being said, We ordered the Onion Rings to start, an order of 10 Wings with Dale Sauce and a Patty Melt. The Onion Rings were good enough to satisfy our cravings and this little reddish sauce it brings along is so delish! I would probably order just that sauce to dip in my fries next time! The Wings with Dale Sauce were really spicy! (your lips will plump and get red!) The Patty Melt was great- definitely satisfied my desire for a burger.

Why 4- stars? Service was meh. Our waiter wanted to get our order fast and seemed like he wanted to run out the door as soon as he would be able to get a chance. Based on this experience, don't rely on great service, just great food.

Wings were delicious.  I highly recommend their special grilled which weren't spicy but had a little kick.

The only things I would change is it was a little loud for me but it's a sports bar so I don't hold it against Sports Grill. Also, it would be better if there was homemade blue cheese instead of Ken's.

Overall great wings and great service.

My favorite location of this chain restaurant!

Typical sports bar restaurant serving beer, chicken wings, fries, beer (did I say beer already) and sports on TV.

    Here's my favorite combination:

Special Grilled, curly fries with melted cheese, beer. That's it. You'll be happy afterwards...

Unless you're into spice. Miami Heat's are no joke - only for the brave. Only my fiancee can brave this  - I'm not ashamed at all!

Folks ain't lyin' about the special wings!  Excellent flavor. Try the ribs with the special sauce, too. Very good. Didn't have the space for desert.

The service is outstanding . Walked into a Miami sports bar looking for a Boston hickey game and they set me up. Friendly, relaxed but attentive service. Made a Bruins loss much more enjoyable..

Best wings in Miami. Enough said.

Besides the fact that I wish I still ate chicken wings whenever I think of Sports Grill.

Still some of the best wings in Miami. This place can get pretty packed when a good sporting event is going on.

The special grilled are still the best wings I've had. They are tossed in buffalo sauce, flash fried, then grilled. The bbq wings are fantastic as well. I've never enjoyed bbq wings from other places because they can get soggy or oversauced. But these barbecue wings were great. The food comes out quick too. The half order of fries is enough for 2 people already, so a full order of fries was plenty.

The fried shrimp here aren't that great. I would try to avoid them. The burgers here are pretty good too and if you come on Mondays and Wednesdays, they have ribs.

Good drink specials, wings, and fries keep us coming back for more.

A West Kendall strip mall is not where I usually choose to hang out, but every Tuesday evening from 6-7 pm I drop off my son  at his guitar lesson out there and find myself with an hour to kill.

I usually go to the Sports Grill on Sunset for happy hour.

Friendly staff, good jukebox, plenty of TVs and $1.25 draft beers.   No healthy eating options here...all the food is either deep fried or off the greasy griddle, but sometimes that's exactly what you want.

Now you know where to find me!

A group of us stopped here after a recent Yelp elite event. Most of us arrived at different times, but in the end we ended up having 10 people in our group, and 2 other Yelpers that had arrived earlier were seated behind us.

Though I'd had wings from Sports Grill before, I'd never actually been to any of their restaurants. On this night, I had the 10 piece "special grilled" wings with celery and blue cheese, 1/2 order of fries (which was more than enough for 1 person) and a few of us split a pitcher of beer. The wings were pretty incredible. The menu describes the special grilled wings as being dipped in buffalo sauce, charbroiled and then washed with worcestershire. I wasn't even terribly hungry on this night, and I still polished them off and even found myself nibbling on the smaller extension of the wings with barely any meat on them, simply because they were that tasty! The fries were damned good as well, and it takes a lot to get me excited about something as basic and simple as french fries!

The service was good, the food didn't take long to arrive, when the server came with the check most of us paid separately and at least a few of us gave her credit cards and instructions on how to split the bill up; She did it without any complaint at all. For the wings, fries and beers I had, it was a bit more than $15 before tip which wasn't bad at all, especially for how tasty and flavorful everything was.

My primary regret is that out of all the Sports Grill locations in Miami, none are very close to my neighborhood. If one of their restaurants was closer I'd be there often as I liked the vibe here, and IMO, both their menu and their wings beat Flanagan's any day!

I ventured here after a lovely wine tasting event over at Sunset Corners (Thanks Maria and Amber! What happened to you Rony??)

This place was pretty nice. There were TV's and a jukebox, I even noticed a few Take My Money with a Claw games near the restrooms.

Mentioning restrooms, I just tacked on another star. The restrooms are clean AND they have a shelf above the toilet in your stall so you can rest your purse. Ladies I don't know about you, but I hate having to 'hover' and hope I don't have to reach out to catch my purse lol

I didn't try the food even though the Elites offered (probably for review purposes lol) but I would go back again.

    GRILLED WINGS.

Two words you need to keep at the forefront of your mind.  Focus on these two words, let them fall from your lips upon entry and you will have an experience that your mouth will not soon let you forget!

My only wish is that they have a full bar.  I'm not a beer drinker but I didn't want to play with my wine palate after leaving a wine-tasting at Sunset Corners.   The waitress was eager to help me find a beer I could deal with so after asking me a few of my preferences, she brought a "Shock Top" to the table.  While not converting me to beer just yet, it was drinkable.  And really, isn't that all that matters?

Sports Grill is about the smallest sports bar I've been to in eons, but it didn't feel too crowded and just about all the tables were full when I visited.  The prices are PERFECT and service is quick.

Make your way down there and get those Grilled Wings.  Stop missing out!

Anyone who knows me, knows that my weakness is chicken wings. I have a palate that thrives on great tasting wings of any kind. Give me hot, give me baked, give me fried, give me lemon pepper it doesn't matter... I love chicken wings.

When I moved down to Miami, I was introduced to Sports Grill on Sunset... to put it lightly... OHHH MYYYY GOOOOOD!!! They have the BEST CHICKEN WINGS I have ever eaten!!! It became an addiction at one point. I was at Sports Grill 3-4 times per week just to eat.

Their "special grilled" sauce is Amazing!!
    Definitely deserves 5 Stars!!

Cons: The parking is bad, but for the great food, I'm willing to drive around that parking lot 1,000 times to find a spot. It's worth it. Besides, once you been there enough times, you'll find out the where the secret parking spots are so that you don't have to wait for a spot.

**Want great Service while you're there? Request Josh (not me and no bias) as your sever, he's awesome! And be sure to give Big Mac a shout in the kitchen, he is after all, the one cooking your meal!
( I told you I've been there a time or two..)

I went here for lunch with a co-worker and clearly (from the 2 stars) wasn't impressed.

    Negatives-

Ordered the dolphin sandwich - the roll was totally stale a& smelled like mold, I did not eat it

chips that came under the sandwich were all soggy

2 fish fillets on sandwich, one was fishy, the other was good. I didn't eat one

waited almost on an hour to get our bill .... come on people, we were on lunch break!! (This one waitress walked by us at least 3 times and purposely avoided all contact while we tried to flag her down)

no soda refill at all, considering we were there 2 hours, that sucked.

    positive

    the food came fast

I liked the blackened seasoning on my fish.

beer was cheap, although I didn't drink any - I did see a million ads up for 5.99 pitchers

Not enough positives to make me want to have a return visit.

I love their wings....special grilled all the way!  Curly fries are a must, and stay away from the nachos....not worth it. I gave it a three because I like the location in the Hammocks much better. A little less frat boy, a little more family. Not that I have a family but I don't want to feel like I'm getting eye screwed as soon as I walk to a place. My brother likes the Hammocks as well, he says the servers are easier on the eyes.

My brother from Cali came with me on a visit and he liked it. His only complain was that the mug was too cold to enjoy his Guinness, said it sucked out the flavor.  Plenty of tvs and friendly staff!

Huge Plus: Teachers/Firefighters drink free on Tuesdays....I am a teacher, brother is a firefighter.

This is my kinda place. Admittedly, I'm a serious sucker for sports, video games, crap all over the walls, and a laid-back environment. Totally reminds me of Moose's, bar I used to work at in LA - best job I ever had.

Anyway, the other reasons why I dig this place - tasty food, plenty of TVs, friendly service, cold beer, cheap prices, sticker machine ... what more could you possibly want in a drinking establishment? I mean, the barback even kept putting sealed bags of ice into our pitcher to keep it cold - now that's service. :) I had beer, beer and more beer, along with a dolphin caesar salad that was quite tasty, and had a HUGE serving of dolphin considering the price. Also had jalapeno poppers. BF had the famous wings, and he dug 'em.

As far as I could tell, this place is beer and wine only. No liquor in sight. Then again, we didn't ask.

Couple minor downsides - bathrooms were way less than clean, and I don't like that their sauces come pre-packaged. A pet peeve of mine.

All in all, this place makes the short list of my fave places in Miami, thus far.

Best wings in Miami, bar none. Cold beer efficient service. The place does not pretend to be anything that its not.  If you are in the mood for bar food, and specifically wings, look no further.

One start taken away for cleanliness. Table was not wiped down properly and there was too much junk on the floor. I know they have a lot of turnover, but there is not excuse for dirty.

Awesome wings though. cat wait to go back.

Our usual hang out spot after a tough late work out. Great place for a large group to have good food and watch some sports.

This is a regular spot for us, we are here weekly.

I personally LOVE the special grilled wings with garlic. They are more than willing to split up your wing order, so you can enjoy the equally wonderful. Buffalo flavored wings. Be careful is you order the "Miami Heat," they'll leave you sweating!

Everyone talks about the actual sports watching aspect of Sports Grill, I on the other hand come here strictly for wings and beer!

Friday night, super long day at work and a hunger that would put any grown man to shame this place hit the nail on the head!

50 special grilled wings, 3 pitchers of beer and the day seemed to have just melted away!!!

Top it off with a slice of Snicker's pie and I was done for the night.

It's not a fancy joint, benches and booths mostly.

Sophia the hostess/waitress was super friendly and helpful when our party grew and we needed a bigger table. Our waiter was also pretty attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.

Meh, I see the allure of Sports Grill, specially if its a Sunday, but other than that it doesn't really impress me. The wings are cheap, and so is the beer. Their selection isn't ample, but it'll get the deed done. Every game you want to watch is playing in one of their TVS. We went there yesterday to watch the Saints vs. Giants game (teeheehee) and ordered some of their black bean rolls, smoked fish dip, and conch fritters. The dip was a disappointment (try the Ale House fr better) and the fritters were super oily, I did enjoy the lime wedges, but the cocktail sauce that came with it was packaged...c'mon now, I don't know if  I trust a locale that cant even go out of their way to make some real cocktail sauce. If you are looking for something cheap with a good sports ambiance, yeah, cool but like I said...ehh.

The only amusing thing about the meal was when an old Skins fan approached our table and politely asked "Excuse me, but are you guys the next generation hippies?" we laughed...she seemed proud of us...*shrugs*

Midway point for my friends from the gables...and me from Kendall...I have always seen this place packed when I drive by. I was happy I finally got a chance to check this place out!

Sunday evening, my friends who got there early said they were told they had to wait 15 mins but got a table in 5. The hostess guy at the door made sure I found my posse when I walked in.

My guy friend was quick to point out the cheap beers they had as he proceeded to order beer after beer. The three of us got 25 wings and 16 wings = 41 wings to share, 20 grilled and 21 garlic. I ordered the fries with cheese on the side, it was gone in probably 5 minutes. It was amazingly good. As for the wings...41 was probably too much for us...I got full by the 3rd wing. The verdict: GRILLED. The garlic was good except it was deep fried..and then the garlic sauce was poured over. My couple friend ordered 5 buffalo wings....it was supposedly too hot for my girl friend. The guy had the burger with onion rings, he seemed very pleased with his food too! I got myself a $1.75 sweet tea...it was PERFECT. Not overly sweet like McDonald's SWEEEEET tea. It truly was PERFECT! Oh, and the jalepeno poppers were delish too! :)

The total check came up to be $115??? Tips were included...but we gave more cuz the service was really good. They came by often to check on us, remembered the beers we ordered and gave us SYSCO wipes!

Like my friend said "this is dangerously close to you!"...I might have to excercise self-restrain to not come here too often!

    Tip-bits:
    Jukebox music
TVs everywhere - good for watching the games!
Floor is rather slippery...so watch yourself
Ask for monthly beer specials, my friend could have saved some money but the waitress didnt know he was ordering to order "like 50 beers"

Mmmmmmmm.....I have yet to encounter better wings than Sports Grill wings. They are all great, but the buffalo style are TO DIE FOR!!!!

What makes these the BEST wings though is how HUGE they are. Seriously, the chickens they get them from must be on steroids!!! And they are cooked to perfection, so juicy and tender. Mmmmm...

I can't vouch for anything aside from the wings and the fries. It's a joke for me to consider eating anything other than that when we go. Although a friend did once order a burger, and she was disappointed. But I hear the mahi sandwich is good.

THE BEST WINGS IN MIAMI!!! Hands down. Mmmmmm....

I've always had to wait too long to be seated - even when it's not busy. The staff could be nicer. They have a blah attitude. I've had to give up on this place. These are the best wings in Miami.
Special Grilled (their original) wings is the only way to go.
They are consistent and full of flavor.
    The fries are great too.
Hooters can never live up to this.
This is a Kendall staple, stuff of legend.
It's a real, homegrown, privately/family owned (no corporate mess) sports bar and grill in a humble suburban neighborhood.
If you want a watch any important game there get there maybe 3 hours early to land a table.
Takeout is usually a good move.

    BEST WINGS IVE EVER HAD!!

Seriously, real estate in this neighborhood should go up just for being near this gem! Special Grill wings are def FTWWWWW!

If you want to try a different type of wing, the BBQ wings are not bad (def. not special grill wings). They come drenched in a sweet bbq sauce that is very good.

Other things to have: fish dip, BLACKENED dolphin sandwich (very good), and dolphin fingers.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
