Has been long time since being in town and being at the Belgrade, service was terrible and actually tried talking to Steve the owner, I met him at Torch Light, Â he is a real piece of work and totally full of himself. He was with his wife who looked like a trophy wife and was not at all polite to me or any other patrons. I will never go back to either of his bars.
Review Source:Stopped here on a business trip to try the half beef - half bacon burger. Â The place had an atmosphere that was perfect for a neighborhood bar. Â The bartenders/waitresses were really welcoming, and my food came out quickly (granted, I was the only one eating there at the time). Â The bar itself had almost every seat filled with a wide variety of ages. Â Everyone was really relaxed and friendly. Â They have a small, but decent draft selection, and a large bottle selection, including micro-brews. Â There bar also looked nicely stocked. Â There were darts and a pool table in the other room.
The food itself was good. Â The beer was nice and cold, and the food was hot. Â The fries were big and tasty, although thick-cut isn't my favorite type of fries. Â The burger itself was good, but for being made of half bacon, I thought it was a little dry. Â I expected it to be more fatty than it was - I would be surprised if they really are using a 50/50 beef/bacon ratio. Â The waitress didn't asked how I wanted it cooked, and it was medium-well. Â I think if it was medium-rare it would have been juicier, and the taste of the bacon would have come out more. Â It was almost an aftertaste, and I might not have known it was mixed in if you didn't tell me. Â The toppings on the burger were great, especially the pickles! Â Get the pickles!
All in all, I really like the welcome atmosphere of the place, but was expecting more of their burger.
