  Stone Crowe is a nice little local bar whose patrons are a little bit older than it's Madison competition.
  
  I like to think of this bar as a Lark St bar moved a bit uptown. The crowd is slightly older than the rest of college-ville, the beer selection is a bit better and the atmosphere is much more chillaxed.  The prices for a beer and munchies is very competitive with the rest of the bars in the area, though($2-3 pints). Some nights during the school year, they have DJs that play music here and the crowd dips much younger. Overall, though the average age of the patrons tends to stay somewhere between 22-25.
  
  The thing about Stone Crowe though is that it's soo dark. It's borderline creepy. This is literally the perfect place to go though if you just wanna watch some sports on TV and not be seen by anyone...they'll have a tough time even if they try. Also, watch out if you hookup with someone you met here, when you see them in normal light you might not like it.
  
  They serve some decent bar food if you get here early enough, there's an outdoor patio area which is really great to hangout on in the late spring, summer and early fall...also the staff here is very good.
  
  BOTTOM LINE: If you are sticking to usual Albany college bars and wanna try somewhere a bit more relaxed and very dark...checkout Stone Crowe.

  i give the Stone Crowe full 5 for being so fun. The bartenders and managers are always fun and friendly. The jukebox is amazing and they have foosball. The booze are cheap and delicious. Ask for the Forget Paris shot.
