The Summit Saloon & Stage

I just discovered this restaurant and love it. The atmosphere is clean, casual and friendly. I have had only lunch on several occasions and have been very impressed. First of all I am a huge soup fan and each day they have 3 to 5 soups, all of which are outstanding. My very favorite being reuben soup! This soup should be permanetly on the menu. Also of note is the spicy tomato and clam chowder. The sandwiches are generous and very tasty. My only complaint are the fries are not the best. They lack in crunchiness

We decided we would head here one night for a somewhat early dinner.  We were able to sit where we wanted.  The booths for 2 where you can see all the TVs behind the bar were very cool.

The atmosphere is mellow and casual.  The place is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside.

We decided on a couple of their appetizers to share and a beer each.  The recommended beers by the staff were both very good choices.  For dinner we shared the beef skewers and the chicken quesadilla.  The beef was tender and the flavor was just okay.  The quesadilla was really good and something we would order again.

No offense to anyone with children, but unfortunately, this saloon does allow minors.  During our whole dinner there were 2 kids literally running around the restaurant.  We have no idea what the parents were doing (obviously not paying attention or caring how their kids were ruining other patrons' dinners).  Luckily, the staff finally said something.  However, the parents still didn't get the HUGE hint to keep their kids at their table.  Unfortunately, this lasted our entire meal.  The staff apologized profusely, but we certainly didn't hold it against them.

We enjoyed the atmosphere and without the kids, we could see it as a great place to chill out and enjoy a game and a beer.  We will be back, but hopefully we will be seated far away from any kids.

Went to watch the Green Bay game on Sunday. Ordered a half tuna salad sandwich and a cranberry walnut salad. The salad was great but the sandwich was very disappointing. The wheat bread was stale - actually broke apart after the first bite. Tuna salad was not good. This is the first meal I've had there that wasn't good.
