What was I, an avid Yelper doing in a Taco Bell drive through this afternoon? Â I was trying the new Cantina Chicken Burrito Bowl that has been getting so much attention so that I could come back and review it on Yelp. I had seen the commericals featuring Chef Lorena Garcia implying that this bowl was opening the door to a new era of "upscale fast food" at Taco Bell. Â When I opened up the bowl the first thing I noticed was that everything was kind of pale. Â The tomatos were a very light pinkish red color and the chicken was very white instead of looking grilled. Â However I stirred the guacamole in a bit and dug in. Â In terms of taste it was surprisingly pleasant. Â The guacamole was tasty and I picked up hints of cilantro. Â However, both the rice and the chicken were fairly mushy. Â If I were to compare this to Taco Bell's other items I would say that it is better by leaps and bounds. Â However, it still hasn't crossed the bridge to being "upscale fast food".
