I'm funny about my chinese food. Â There are very few where I will eat. Â My last "go to" place went out of business (Empress of China). Â So I had to "audition" several more for that infrequent chinese craving. Â After several failures I stumbled upon a few good reviews on another site for China One on Eastern Pkwy. Â I did not have high hopes when I entered. Â It is primarily a carry-out place with 5 or 6 tables. Â It looked like all the other fast food type chinese restaurants in town, only smaller. Â I went over the menu and they had a nice selection and the prices were very good. Â After sampling from a few of the combination plates at home, I was so excited over finding my new chinese restaurant that I called the restaurant just to tell them how good it was. Â They recognized me when I came back a few days later and confirmed I was the caller. Â I have already been back two more times and have not been disappointed. Â The sesame chicken, orange chicken, chicken lo mein are all very good. Â The fried rice and egg rolls are very good, but not great. Â They get the job done. Â I have asked for all white meat in certain entrees and been accomodated. Â Sometimes with a dollar up-charge, sometimes not. Â It is currently the only chinese carry out for me. Â Lunch combinations have more than one could normally eat, I believe all are less than $5.
