I love local pizza places. There are so many in my area that I rarely have to order from chains. While I won't say Vito's is my favorite of the local places around it is definitely pretty darn tasty. I do agree with the other reviewer that said he thought the sauce was a bit too sweet. I prefer a sauce that's a bit more on the savory side. The garlic knots however are awesome. The dough is soft and delicious and the garlic butter is fantastic. They always come sitting in a puddle of garlic butter so under no circumstances would they be considered healthy but if you're eating cheesy pizza I doubt that's your top concern! Their delivery can be a bit slow but it's definitely hot and fresh when it arrives. If you have been driving past Vito's for years and have never tried their pizza give it a shot definitely worth a try!
Review Source:My GF and I drive by this place all the time, and I finally talked her into trying it. This was delivery, so keep that in mind...
We got the all-meat pizza. It was OK. Nothing great. I found the sauce to be a little sweet, which I found off-putting. I like my meat to be plentiful and savory, and this just didn't happen on this pizza.
We also ordered the pepperoni bread sticks. Figured it was a no-lose situation. I mean, pepperoni is awesome and bread sticks are awesome. Combination should be amazing, right? Actually, no. There was so little pepperoni in the bread sticks that I could barely find it. And the sticks themselves were rather bland.
But since Italians are awesome, we ordered the cannolis. And they were amazing. Rich, but absolutely amazing. I'm not really a dessert person, and these are highly rated among all the desserts I've ever had.
