I went there after seeing a deal on living social (but did not buy it) and decided to give it a try. The diner was blah and super cold! It was 50 degrees outside and they had the ceiling fans blaring. The food was regular breakfast food nothing to scream about well except for the home fries. We ordered eggs, toast, turkey bacon, home fries and french toast. The service was no existence and when paying by credit card they did not offer to email me my reciept.......
Review Source:Yesterday, a friend took me to Burger Boy. Â I am a fan of very simple food, but also a believer that even simple food can be done better than average by attention to detail. Â
I was overwhelmed by the size of the menu, and the size of the desserts I saw in the old fashioned cake displays on the counter. Â Those cupcakes and cinnamon rolls nearly pulled me in, and if I hadn't gotten so full from dinner, I would have happily tried them out. Â
I ordered a basic grilled cheese and fries. Â I got a crispy, buttery sandwich that, while having the world's most basic components was more than the sum of it's parts due to it's perfect execution. Â
And OH OH OH, the fries. Â Thick battered, heavily (but not TOO heavily) seasoned joy sticks. Â And people, I am not a major french fry consumer. Â These are quite honestly, the BEST french fry I have ever had. Â
I live an hour and a half south of this restaurant, but you had better believe that I will be back. Â Because I can't get the rest of the menu out of my mind.
Also, very friendly and helpful cooks, servers and managers! Â Thanks for the great experience, Burger Boy!
I finally actually went in here and sat down for food. And i was quite happy with the overall experience.
Food was great diner food. Greasy, filling, will likely kill me from a heart attack in 3-5 years, but awesome. Just what I wanted the morning after the Final Four game. The GF and I both made several "Mmm..." sounds during our meal. Perfect.
The service is slow, and gets slower the busier the diner gets. I'm forgiving of this, since there were three people running the entire diner, including cooking, serving, checking out, busing, etc. Not a place to go if you're in a hurry when it's busy.
Price: AMAZING!
Three egg Western omelette, biscuits and gravy, ham, 2 orders of toast, two orders of home fries, 2 eggs, coffee, and a fountain drink. Add in a 25% tip, and the entire meal for the two of us came to $18.50.
Hell yeah.
