Bottom line, don't go to this place.
I'm married with a daughter and I've never been kicked out of a bar or been in a fight of any kind. Â I'm usually a pretty mellow person.
In this place for 15 minutes, get grinded on by some guy trying to impress his friends. Â The group I was with let me know it was happening, but I laughed it off and kept drinking my beer. Â The same guy keeps bumping into me over and over again and finally I ask him if I'm giving him enough room or not. Â His girlfriend gets in my face and tells me it was her fault and I should mind my own business. Â I told her he had run into me 4 or 5 times and could you ask him to stop. Â She continues to tell me off and I finally say that if he wants to run his rear into guys, I'm sure there's a place down the street he can do that freely. Â She slaps me.
My wife jumps up and tells a bouncer. Â Bouncer asks for my story and asks me to leave. Â He tells me he knows the girl, he had been to lunch with her earlier in the week, and she would never do what I was explaining. Â My friend sticks up for me, he gets tossed and gets the cops called on him. Â My whole group of 10+ people (it was a birthday celebration for two girls in the group) are asked to leave.
Girl that started the whole thing...she was allowed to stay. Â
Unbelievable.
Safe to say, I'll never go back. Â Nobody I know will ever go, and personally I don't think anybody should go to this place. Â Hopefully it will die with all the other poorly run bars that treat their "unknown" customers like crap.
Food was good, service was mediocre, and I was double charged for bill when I paid cash and accidentally left my card. Their staff has a theif amongst them. I'm sure its not the first time this has happened since other yelp reviews reflect weaknesses of the Tailgator. There's a whole lot of better dives in Snohomish County than this hole.
Review Source:Bartenders downstairs are really nice. Had some fries and a hef. If you like fries, these ones are worth it, however be prepared to extract buckets of grease.
Music upstairs, ok..... Â Crowd, non responsive. Not ideally a rage dance floor unless you flash mob it with friends (thats an idea). Don't judge me on this section, I was there until I finished my fries and beer and walked around for 45 seconds.
I don't know what other yelpers are tripping on. This is by far the best place to get some exceptional "bar food" and great drinks in Everett! I've been coming here for a couple of years both upstairs in their club style area and downstairs in the sports bar area. I've always found the service to be above par, prices more than fair, and the owner very accommodating. If I crave a really good burger, which I rarely indulge in, I come here. The meat is obviously high quality, as is the bacon and fries on side. They are real potatoes!! Actual, real potatoes! And its only $6.99, fries included! They even do a $2 Tue with amazing specials all day including Smirnoff, Pinnacle, and food. Â Do yourself a favor and stop by Tailgators if you want great food, service, and prices in Everett!!
Review Source:drink prices are amazing, bartenders okay try not to get the little girl that bar backs on the weekends she is stuck up and has a bf that follows her every where, i been there about 3 times every time i been there dj sucked they play top ten songs shi* you here on the radio all day long, seems like the same group of young moms always there. I went one time they had a different dj but he was playing techno not cool, they need to just have a variety of music, o and one of there workers always gets on the mike and sings a little john song not sure if he thinks he is cool or what but it is funny. The whole place is defiantly against gays not sure why but the dj is always calling a guy gay if he sees him dancing anywhere near the pole, over all fun place for everett sweet drinks but the dj that comes all the way from federal way should just stay down there.......
Review Source:We went here prior to a tips game with a group of about ten, ready to spend some money. What we experienced was an unfriendly staff, poor bar service and slow order fulfilment. When we finally received our food and drinks it was good but our waitress did not return for some time to take the rest of our order. The food is cheap and tasty and they have good prices on drinks. Better service and this place would be a three or maybe even a four.
Review Source:Not sure how to rate this place, the people I met there were awesome, the bartenders were very nice and pretty girls, so I'll say my experience to let you all know why I give it such a low rating.
My friends and I pole, so we went there to check out the pole. Didn't have to pay cover 'cause we got there early. The pole isn't legit, if you swing on it to hard, it starts to unscrew. They do not have rubbing alcohol for it and it's also painted so if you slide it'll burn your skin/take some off. the night started off that the dance floor was empty so my friend and I went to the pole and did some spins and tricks, some how the songs all turned into stripper songs, about strippers, about stripping, we found it offensive. Being polers, we don't view pole dance as falic, so we were pretty stoked when we got some guys to start trying tricks and getting involved in the poling, which made the music less uncomfortable because the people on the dance floor were all having a good time. But when everything seemed to be going well the DJ. started saying no guys could be on the "stripper pole" because nobody wanted to see guys doing that stuff, he said it was gay. At first we just brushed it off, but he kept saying stuff and went so far as to call the guy I came in with homosexual. I'm pretty sure he dropped the f-a-g bomb before saying he'd kick out my guy if he kept doing it and made the suggestion on the microphone that my man should go to the gay bar in the area instead! So I went to the DJ. booth and told the guy to lay off, that if my guy, left, then us girls were leaving. The DJ. basically said he didn't want gay dudes dancing on the pole. And was very rude!
What ended up being the story was that the pole couldn't support the weight of a dude...supposedly, but I felt the DJ. could have handled the situation MUCH better.
Besides that it was a good time. Good people, good staff, fun times, good dancing, I just couldn't believe what the DJ said. It was the only legit bad part but I was very put-off. I would go back for the people and the atmosphere, my friend liked the drinks but if the same situation happened again I wouldn't give it a third chance.
It is what it is. A crappy bar in North Everett. The bartenders are really nice and make VERY strong drinks. The dance floor upstairs is full of trashy, scary people that are usually so wasted they don't know what's going on. With all this said...I still tend to go back every couple months for its entertainment value and the food is good!
Review Source:When I lived in North Everett this spring, Tailgator became my de facto drinking establishment. Not generally the kind of place I hang out, but who can argue with a $5 cheeseburger and fries and $1 Busch draws (or whatever the hell it was)?
Bartenders were always pleasant to me, and I enjoyed shooting the bull with the local drunks. They have a nice selection of local brews on tap, too, if you're in the mood for something more sophisticated that a $1 draw. The cheeseburgers are good, too, especially for the price.
I've only been in this place in the early evenings, so I cannot attest to its appeal for late night nightlife stuff. Probably wouldn't be my scene.
I took a friend here for her going away party and we were pretty satisfied!
Downstairs is pretty much your typical sports bar, but what ups the factor is that they have an ice bar. Guaranteed to keep your drink nice and crisp.
Upstairs is more of a "club." They have a dancefloor, stripper pole, music, a pool table and of course, a bar. The music is pretty good- definitely heightened my energy.
Both serve pretty decent food. 2 words: Monster Burgers! You definitely should try them out!!
Downfall: The service. That includes the waiters/waitresses/bartenders shitty attitudes (some, not all) and how long it took to either stand in line to get a drink or to have it delivered to your table.
Eric Szabo is a bouncer here- tell him what's up!! :]
I liked this place. They had awesome wings that didn't have sauce, but were more breaded in spicy breading? They were great. Fine well drinks, lots of TVs and nice staff.
Apparently they used to give you like 30 wings for $10 or have some other awesome specials that they just discontinued. So if you go there expecting these great deals, you may be disappointed. Just a warning.
This place was surprisingly fun, classy, and a really cool atmosphere.
I would rate the cleanliness and layout as high as some of the clubs i've been to downtown seattle.
They have Wii Bowling and golf, an ice bar, and sports TV downstairs.
Upstairs, one pool table, another ice bar, and a little dance floor complete with stripper pole.
The patio/smoking section has an indoor feel- it is surrounded by brick buildings on all sides and opens out into the sky. Very cool, very retro.
The drinks are decent, the food is pretty yummy (i tried the philly cheesesteak- standard, but a little too salty for my tastes, and the homemade potato chips- absolutely to DIE for.
I will be coming back. Â It is pretty much the coolest place I have found in downtown Everett- I mean, it's a dance club and a sports bar all rolled into one package- how much better can you get?
I went to Tailgator for lunch when I had an hour to kill (was stuck in downtown waiting for a client to get to work). The main reason I went was because they were across the street from my appointment, but they are also on iDine/AAdvantage Rewards so I got airline miles. I walked in and they had the Mariners game replay on about 10 different TV's. There were about 5 customers at the bar and I took a seat at one of the tables.
The bartender was doing her liquor inventory and after a few seconds she acknowledged me and asked if I wanted a drink. I told her I was interested in lunch and she hopped right to it, handing me a menu and going over the specials (1/2 off appetizers but they were out of a few items) and $1- beer. (Didn't ask since I was working!!)
A few minutes later I placed my order, (Bacon Bleu Burger) and a coke. The soda was immediately delivered and she offered to open a tab for me (I declined). She rang me up - $13+ for a burger, fries and a soda! I'm thinking, this has got to be one helluva burger!!
IT WAS! The burger was huge and obviously hand made, not the usual 'processed' factory burgers you get at most pubs. It was served on a ciabatta roll (which I think had been frozen because it fell apart after two bites) with lots of thick sliced center-cut bacon and tons of tomatoes, onions and lettuce on it! The blue cheese dressing glopped out, but it wasn't overloaded with it.
The fries were about as big as my pinky finger in diameter and long! This wasn't something out of a box, it was a fresh potato and it was good! They also served their house 'gator sauce' with it, which was tasty and not overly spicey.
My meal required 4 big napkins and even though it was about the same price as a burger at those 'casual-dining' restaurants, it was worth it! I'm going to have to see if they can make cherry-limeades during their lunch hours for those of us that can't have  something 'stronger'.
I'll definitely be back!
So after waiting for 30 minutes in a huge line, the bartender asks the guy 3 spaces behind me what he wants to drink. The following conversation:
Me: Sorry, wasn't I next in line?
Bartender: Are you gonna f%^#ing whine about it?
Me: What?
Bartender: NEXT!
I only gave this place two stars (instead of one) because of the bar downstairs. The bartenders are much more friendly and the atmosphere is not so trashy.
This is a great place to eat dinner and enjoy a sporting event downstairs; then walk upstairs to the dance party or shoot pool. Â The food is magnificent along with the atmosphere, and $1 beer in downtown Everett is a rare find. Â Bottom line, if you want a local place where people know your name and you have a variety of things to do (i.e. mingle, eat, dance, play Nintendo Wii, watch a televised sporting event) Tailgator is the place to be.
