Tao's Asian Cuisine

Sushi was great. Presentation was beautiful.  Chinese meals, Mala Seafood and Szechuan eggplant were uneven in terms of flavor distribution and lacked complexity / layers of flavor.  Atmosphere was very nice as were servers.

Overall I was fairly impressed with Tao's, for Western Massachusetts I think this place is a good place to visit.  They do a good job of separating out the Chinese and Japanese food.  They do a good job with the basics of tempura, teriyaki, udon and sushi.  When I ordered the sushi special I was surprised by the diversity of seafood they offer.  Don't expect Masa quality food, but this place works.

It was our first time ordering take out from Tao's Asian Cusine.We usually order our take out from the Iron Chef in Longmeadow and never had any problams.We just thought we would give this newer restraunt a try.We ordered the orange chicken,general s chicken and a beef dish.The food did not look appealing in the VERY thick oil like sauce it was in.We thought it was horrible.No taste at all.Very bland,heavy and gross.I couldn't eat it and my 13 year old son found a hair in his so he did not eat his.My husband though was starving from not eating all day and ate it anyway.Well, he is now paying.He was up sick all night dry heaving with stomach cramps and dizziness.He felt fine till he ate the food!I would recommend to go some where elase!!!!The one star is because the hostess was very friendly!Money down the drain!!
