Many friends have praised this joint but I only had my first visit last night. It was the first trivia night there with the trivia tart and a good time was had by all.
The vibe I got was a beach bar except I wasn't sweating, there were no nasty sugar drinks in big mixers, and the crowd was classy.
This is a cozy and clean bar with a fantastic beer selection. The staff was very patient and knowledgeable when I was trying to make my beer choices.
I can't wait to come back here. I just hope the secret doesn't get out and the place becomes too busy to be comfortable.
By the way check out the black lights in the bathroom. It is groovy.

Still five stars! I was here last night for the first time since my initial visit, though that mostly is because I live in Longwood right now and do not hang out downtown all that frequently. I made the trip down last night to check out Tap & Grind's first trivia night, which was conducted by The Trivia Tart. She was awesome.

The list of beers here remains impressive, varied and unique. I had a few things here last night that I never tried before. Each of them was delicious in its own way. If you are able to stop by here soon, I HIGHLY recommend the Pensacola Bay Conquistador beer ... it's amazing. Chocolate-y, spicy (it's made with both peppers and chocolate/cocoa) and a mesmerizing smell and taste. Outstanding stuff.

It sounds like the trivia here last night was a big success and everyone who played seemed to have a great time. The Trivia Tart is coming back for more on each Monday evening for the rest of the month, according to what I saw and read on Facebook and The Trivia Tart's website. The fun begins at 6:30 ... check it out, if you can! I'm unsure if this will be the case each Monday, but last night draft beers were $2 off until 7 p.m. and a select few were $3 apiece after 7. Considering that there are some wonderful beers here, that's a sweet deal. See the pictures I posted here on Yelp from last night ... I had roughly 4.5 terrific beers. The last half of my last one was shared by some friends since we were in a rush to get some food.

I'm sure that weekends here are fun, but the only two nights I've been here have been on Mondays, I think. That is an awesome night here, so I'm listing that as its best, for now. I'm curious to check out this place on a Fri.-Sat., though. Maybe sometime soon ...

Highly recommended! Can't wait for next Monday's trivia.

OMG I love Tap & Grind. This place is probably one of my favorite craft beer bars ever.

The owner, Jason, is super nice and friendly (as well as the rest of the staff!) They always give out samples and explain the different types of beer to you. We were sitting at the bar late one night and they event let me plug my phone into their stereo system to jam. I just absolutely LOVE the vibe here. They have big screen TVs that play amazing video footage of Redbull snowboarding and surfing which really adds to thew whole experience.

PS. Go into the bathrooms when you're there. There's two sets of switches for a whole new experience. I know  I sound crazy, but you just gotta try it!
