Oh yes, the NEW Tavern on Garnett. Â My buddy drags me in there because it how has a Whiskey Bar! Â My friend knows I love my Johnny Walker, so we head over there. Â I'm looking them over, and realize they don't have a single bottle of Scotch (whiskey, of course)! Â I as the bartender why, and she has no idea. Â But they do have Rye (who cares!). Â I ask how big a shot is, and it's just one ounce, not the usual one and a half ounces (check that out on Google). Â Okay, I'll try a fifteen dollar shot of Rye. Â I don't want it in the little shot glass, but then next size glass is plastic! Â A $15 shot of anything doesn't go in plastic. Â Then next size up glass is way too big.
Okay, one quick drink and that's gone, now let's order some food. Â Being lactose intolerant (I can't eat cheese) I order the BLT. Â Now, a BLT is a bacon, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. Â Sometimes they come with avocado, and I think I did see that on the menu. Â So when the sandwich finally came (it took forever, and the place was empty at 3:30), the damn thing had cheese on it. Â They tried to convince me that BLTs always have cheese, but I'm not that stupid. Â By now we had been there 45 minutes, and I wanted OUT! Â So I told them to just forget it. Â The bartender begs me to wait while they make another one (without cheese). Â I say okay, but I want it to go. Â A half hour later, here it comes in the box. Â Of course, they didn't put sticks in the sandwich to hold it together, I did that myself. Â I'm still trying to get out of there, but they tell me to wait for the French fries. Â Ten minutes later, I've got the fries, and we finally get out of there, $45 poorer. Â I did give the bartender a $10 cash tip because she was good looking.
When I got home, I found that they did not put a cap on the ketchup, and the fries were ruined. Â The BLT was nothing special at all, and the fries were steak fries, not the stringy ones the bartender promised.
Now, I know The New Tavern will be successful, because this town is full of young and stupid drunks. Â But I was not impressed with their "whiskey" bar, and you better stop putting cheese on your BLTs or someone is going to sue you!
All Duck fans, this is your place. This is the go to spot for all Duck games. I went for every game last season. They reserve a spot in the back for Duck fans. They just remodeled and it will be better than ever this year now that they have their own kitchen. The staff is super friendly, and they do great college football specials. This is the only place to go if you like college football.
Review Source:They went through a remodel???????? They should not have bothered, the place is as bad as it ever was. Cramped, dirty, smelly to name just a few.
It is as overpriced as ever, but then again I guess they have to pay for the remodel so they are passing it on to customers.
The crowd who goes there has not improved and neither has the staff.
Still the worst place in PB.
Tavern just re-modeled and opened their doors with a New Food Menu and a vast variety of beer taps. The service, food, drinks and atmosphere were great. Ordered the coconut shrimp, kegs in a blanket and ceviche as our starter. Â Very delicious! Â Tried the Grilled Cheese, awesome! The BLT was great too! Â They also, have plenty of screens for all sports fanatics and a great DJ for your music and dancing needs. Â If you haven't been its a must while in PB.
Review Source:I have been waiting for the new Tavern to open and it did not disappoint! We braved PB on the 4th of July and Tavern was our first stop at around 12pm. Â The staff were very inviting and even showed us around the new bar. Â I can't wait to hit the bourbon bar at the back (it opens at 2pm). Â I have a new appreciation for bourbon after visiting the Bourbon Trail in Kentucky and the Tavern has all the good stuff! I was very impressed. Â Since it was early, I started off with the One Night Stand drink. So good! We continued our 4th of July bar crawl but actually ended back at the Tavern at around 4pm. Â Of course it was packed (4th and all), but we luckily found a table and the service was just as good as early in the day. Â We also got the pretzels this time and they were good. Give the new Tavern a try! P.S. I am reserving one star until I try some more food.
Review Source:Aside from the reviews below me, I absolutely love the new Tavern! It's more roomie, bigger dance space, bigger patio, good DJ (spinning from hip hop to top 40s to EDM), nice lighting, and a better vibe. I definitely make a stop here every time I go out to PB.
*Please note: I have seen many black guys in Tavern so I don't see how they could be racist.
I would give this place 0 stars if i could...I also would have considered not posting this review (the first one I have ever posted), but I have now waited 2.5 full days for a phone call back from a manager, and have yet to receive one.
I would like to start off by saying that I have lived in Pacific Beach for 6 years now, and I have gone to tavern plenty of times. Me and my boyfriend have been talking about the re-open and how excited we are for it....only to be racially profiled by the security before we could set foot in the door. Unfortunately, this is not the first but the second time this has happened. My boyfriend was asked to leave the line a few months ago because he was wearing a hat, and apparently that is not allowed. Although it was pretty obvious he was being asked to leave for a different reason other than his baseball cap, we let it go. This past friday night, following the Monday soft-opening (that we declined to attend after being invited by a family friend who runs the entire POS system at Tavern), we decided that we were finally going to go check out the new Tavern. The line wasn't too bad, and we had no problem waiting for something we had been looking forward to, anyway. While we were waiting in line, my boyfriend, his brother, and two other friends (who all happen to be black) were asked to leave because of his "baggy jeans". This would have been completely understandable if I was dating a hoodlum who had his boxers hanging out, but he is quite the opposite. The jeans he was wearing were labeled as SLIMS (check photos...I will have posted some of his pants, and then of the two guys who were let in while we were being asked to leave, AND of their own employees..who had on baggier pants than he did). Stricter dress code or not, it was a complete disappointment to fall victim to racism, which before Friday, I would have argued (to the death), "is NOT a real thing, everyone is racist" (and if you know me, you know I stand behind my opinions). Well, now I know that racism is real...and it exists at this establishment.
shame shame shame.
I would like to share an encounter I had at the Tavern a few days ago. For those that know me, it's understood that I'm a homebody and very rarely go out to clubs or bars. On Friday I chose to go out with a group of friends and headed to the Tavern. While in line, a Bouncer approached us and requested that we exit the line because our pants violated the dress code. Mind you, my wife and I both hold professional positions and choose to dress accordingly. I truly thought I was on an episode of Punked because our pants were anything but baggy, but unfortunately, Ashton Kutcher never appeared.
When I requested to speak with the Manager he approached us outside, and to my astonishment, he was wearing an outfit that resembled exactly what one of us had on. He started the conversation by saying "we recently remodeled and now have a strict dress code which permits our style of dress". I explained to him that based on our attire, I didn't feel that the actions of the Bouncer were justified. I'm saddened and frustrated that my friends and I were victims of racial profiling, and furthermore, how such a thing could still be happening in Pacific Beach in 2013. Ironically, that was the very reason we stopped frequenting PB nearly 10 years ago. The conversation began to escalate but in my mind, a quote from Les Brown came to me that states, "Don't let someone else's opinion of you become your reality". The conversation concluded with our request for change, because it prevented good, honest, non-confrontational people from entering their establishment only looking to celebrate recent accomplishments in our lives.
While I do not typically communicate negativity about places I frequent, I felt this letter was necessary to make it public. It's only a matter of time before it happens to someone else from diverse ethnic crowd, who will likely handle the situation differently than we did. It would be unfortunate for the Tavern to have gone to all of the expense and time to perform a remodel of its establishment and then have the business' name and reputation drug through the Media in a derogatory manner. Unfortunately, I will no longer visit their corporations 'sister bars' either, and will ensure to explain why whenever questioned.
So awhile back when I came here, I saw a bouncer tell group of black guys in line in front of me that they won't be able to get in because of the dress code. No baggy jeans and sneakers. I thought I was screwed because my jeans were equally baggy and I was also wearing sneakers. I ended up getting in without any problems. I credited it to my jeans being newer, my sneakers being awesome, but mostly the bouncers keeping an eye on the now angry group of black men. I didn't really care at the time because I thought I was able to slip in. Then it happened again a few days ago. Again, I got in. And you know how the old saying goes: "Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice and you're probably a racist".
So after I drafted this review I went to read some other reviews. I guess this happens A LOT.
Tavern just reopened with a kitchen, and it is top notch. The menu was created by the chef at Barley Mash, and they did a great job. Upscale, fun, and innovative bar food is the game here. They have new specialty cocktails that feature fresh juices and great ideas. The staff has always been friendly, and the new additions seem to keep up with this. The food runner last night was especially friendly, explaining every dish and sauce, all homemade of course.
The fried pickles were so great, they came with homemade ranch a a "hammer sauce," a play on thousand island. The Kegs in a Blanket were brats wrapped in pretzel bread, served with different mustards. The "Texas Toast" is unreal, used for most of the sandwiches. It is two pieces of bread with cheese in between, meaning that your grilled cheese is surrounded by MORE grilled cheese!! Layered with avocado, caramelized onions, and beer-cheese sauce, it is sure to fill up your belly
Considering they aren't even fully open yet, the table was so impressed with food times, the kitchen was on fire!! Our server, Jenny, made the experience unforgettable, even bringing beer samples she thought would enhance the meal.
I have spent much time and money at The Tavern, and now I will be here even more I'm sure. They have elevated PB without being pretentious. I can't wait to see what they so next!!
If you've read any of my previous reviews about a PB establishment, you'd know that I'm not a fan across the board. Â Tavern is probably the only one, thus far, that I'm ok with.
It's got a great outdoor patio. Â It's definitely the cleanest and well maintained spot I've been to in that neck of the woods. Â Service was decent and the drink prices are average.
This place would probably be my only recommendation for anyone having to visit PB.
This place a a large variety of beer and some of the other alcohols. Â It didn't offer a great deal to the other alcohols sadly. Â They do have some tasty cider. Â If you're a beer lover, you would probably enjoy this place. Â If you're not, I would still say go in to see what they offer. Â I don't like that you have to buy the items inside and hopefully find a seat outside to sit and drink your cocktail.
Review Source:My friends and I walked by and saw a line, so we figured it might be a poppin' place and decided to go inside after the bouncer x-rayed the crap out of our IDs. The bouncer actually made all of us smile just like our license picture... odd. The place was packed on a Tuesday night and there is a spot (farther in the back) where it is extremely crazy hot and humid (nasty). This was our first time (we're from Sacramento), and coming here wasn't that bad. The songs the DJ (DJ Who) was playing was okay, but it was a bummer that he played a slow song for his very last song before the bar closed. The dance floor was good, but there were a handful of people dancing really really weird, hahahahah, as well as a handful of creepers. As for drinks, I didn't get any because it took forever!
I'll probably come back next time I'm in the area.
Bouncers and security are douchebags and racist here. Â One of my buddies, a U.S. Marine, who happened to be black, was denied entry because of his "baggy" pants. Â Only problem was... HE WAS WEARING SKINNY JEANS!!
When I asked to speak to the manager, some other goon  named Kono came out and was very rude and unprofessional. Â
We will never return here.
No Cognac here, which is a bummer because that's really all I drink. The security sucks for kicking my friend out because she slipped on a wet floor and they said she was too intoxicated, and the place is just too small and nasty when you have a bunch of sweaty people around dancing. Open the damn doors or something! You gotta wait forever just to get to the bar for some water.
Review Source:I had a good time here. Â I went on a random Monday when I wanted to get wasted. Â It was pretty damn busy for a monday at midnight. Â Lots of hot little skanks all over. Â I had a good time. Â I've gone on a Saturday night and its packed, its a fun bar and worth checking out. Â I'd say even more worth checking out on weeknights when there aren't a lot of people out at other bars, because this place is never dead. Â I've gone jogging at midnight past this place before on a Tuesday and have seen a lot of people outside of it....it seems to do pretty well for itself!
Review Source:What can you say about the Tavern that isn't clearly stated in its name? This divey bar is a fun place to start the night. The drinks are a reasonable price, the music was good for dancing, and the bartender was serving up tasting drinks (that while they were yummy, had almost little to no alcohol in them).
In addition to it's convienent location, there is also a lot of street parking within walking distance, and the people were nice. On this particular night we were outnumbered almost 5 guys to 1 girl... not sure how it is when school isn't on break.
Hmm this bar has gone so down hill from the time that I was younger. It always stinks its dirty the drinks are gross. The bouncers are thugs that man handle people. The d.j is horrible and never has any good music .The crowd is always obnoxious except for a select few. They have a drink special for a free shot sometimes. This place must be desperate. They must need bar rescue.I dont know how my friend has talked me into coming here.Wierd about nine years ago I remember this being a cleaner bar with better drinks and a better crowd. Is it me or have alot of places in pb go down hill? Maybe as I get older I just like nicer places who knows.
Review Source:cool bar, sausage fest! Â I like the music and the drinks are cheap. Â I came here on a wednesday night with some friends, the crowd is full of dudes like every other PB place on a wednesday night. Â It's a typical PB bar, the crowd is mainly 20s with some girls.. Â The dance floor is very small, not a place to chill and make new lady friends if that's what you're looking for.. just my thoughts! Â :)
Review Source:I've had fun nights here and not so fun nights here.
For the most part I like it! There's pretty good music, cheap-ish drinks, & good-ish bartenders. And I like the doormen, they're always nice.
I like it because you can go sit down and talk somewhere or you can get drunk enough to venture on the dance floor.
I'm not the biggest fan of PB bars in general because it's kind of like a giant frat party but if I'm there, I go to Tavern!
This has been my regular NFL Sunday hangout spot for 8 years..the folks are chill and all teams are welcome!!! If your a chick looking to meet a dude on a Sunday..this is not the place..its football junkies and no one will look at you.. The bartenders are cool and the doormen are chill. You can bring your own food in from outside another place or order from their menu which is weak and comes from other places in PB. Â Check in on Foursquare and every 3rd time you check in, you get a 2 dollar drink of your choice..Score!!
The BAD things about this place:
Loser dudes who want to grope and backpack on you while dancing on Friday and Saturday nights. SUPA GHETTO!!!!.so stay way if that is not your thing.
I was running a google search for a news story. Â I searched for "pacific beach car bullet holes". The Tavern came up on the 2nd page of results. Â
That aside, this place used to rock before the economy crashed. But since then, the quality of people that go there has gone way downhill. Â A general trend for all of Pacific Beach, but The Tavern got some of the worst of it.
Tavern pre 2007 Â = 5 stars
Tavern post 2007 = 1 star
I have not since returned to this place since the aforementioned post. Â
Granted, I am older, wiser - blah blah.
But I was looking back at my messages and realized I never told the public about how some (hopefully former) employee messaged me about my old review -- very menacing and threatening. Â
Please reconsider your attempts at retaliating against Yelpers. Â Not a good look for your establishment.
This place, to me, is just okay. Â The line moves fairly quickly. The drinks are priced alright and the music is a hit or miss at this place. Some days it'll be late 90's to 2000s R&B jams and hip hop, and other nights it'll be new age electronic music and today's hits. The DJ takes NO REQUESTS at all, so i'm guessing they have a playlist. Â (that to me doesn't classify as a DJ) I'm just sayingggg. :)
The dance floor, if you want to call it that, is gets pretty tight, hard to dance because people walking from one end of the bar to the other.
Their bouncers or security suck. I don't want to stereotype and say all of them because some are really nice, but the majority are big headed tools who think because they have a security shirt on they rule the world. Don't get me wrong, I respect any one who is looking out for mine and other's safety especially when it involves alcohol, but these guys are ridiculous. I won't get into the details because i could write 3 whole paragraphs on these guys.
Anything else I can complain about this place... nothing else comes to mind.
This place isn't hell on earth, but there are some other chill bars that come to mind first before Tavern.
I've been known to hit up PB from time to time.... peep out the local bars....
Yeah, I've been to Tavern before.... the big bouncers who scan your ID like TSA at the airport... the instant smile on your face when you hear Chingy's I Like That being played in the background... you got off easy there tough guy...
Sometimes there's known to be a cover charge, other days there's not.... I've been known to walk in here with the Lakers Finals and UFC fights still going on and I've either paid nada or the occasional 5er. Not bad...
The dance floor does get a little crowded, there needs to be more off an open area that much is true, but I've still had untold laughs and bump n grinds with my boo here, so I'm pretty satisfied.
Thanks Tavern, I'll be back. Adios amigo.
(now go back and reread with an old western cowboy's voice.. it sounds so much cooler) :)
It's fine. Â Spacious, but I never really hung out here too much. Â Not sure if a lot of other people go, but to my knowledge, not that many college students chose to hang out here. Â
I think the only time I would come here is when I'm pub crawling. Â Conveniently located in the middle of a bunch of other bars, and it's on the bigger side. Â Bouncer was nice when I said I just needed to use the restroom :)
Had a great time at the Tavern! The line moved relatively quickly and the bouncer at the door was pretty cool. Got inside and the bar was packed out with a very diverse crowd. We had a couple whiskey-cokes and danced the night away! Most of the people we met there were on vacation just like me! The place was pretty big and had multiple rooms with multiple bars. A taste of downtown on Pacific Beach!
The only unfortunate part of the night was when my friend started talking to a woman whom the bouncer was obviously interested in, so the bouncer kicked him out for being "too drunk". Cmon dude.. are you gonna kick out every guy who talks to a random woman you have a crush on for the night? Really professional..
Still, I had a great time and had no problems with any of the staff. I was just disappointed that I couldn't stay longer!
Next time I'm in SD, I'll be back for a round two.
The corner of Everts and Garnet is where most people love to partake in the best of what Pacific Beach night life has to offer: alcohol, dancing, and hooking up. Luckily, The Tavern is an excellent bar to get the full Pacific Beach night life experience.
The Tavern is set up similar to any bar in PB. There is a line for VIP's and the general public. The lines can get long, and there is a $5 cover. Of course if you can make friends with the bouncers you will never have to worry about either of these issues. On the inside, The Tavern is very large. There is sizable bar is located in the first half of the building with a medium sized dance floor and seating to the left of it. To the left of the dance floor is a higher staged area with a small bar and seating. Lastly, behind the main bar is a large room with pool table and videos playing on the TV.
The dance floor is usually always good. Most nights the DJ is playing top 40, hip hop, and old favorites. There is usually a good balance of women and men to dance with, and in general it is always a full establishment to meet the love of your life...for the night.
The bartenders are pretty good. There is usually about 4 working on Friday and Saturday nights. They are quick to recognize you and know they their drinks. Unfortunately, The Tavern is a PB bar, so their resources to make a complicated drink like a 'Manhattan' are somewhat limited, but you're in PB so vodka and rock-star is fine with you.
If your are looking for the full PB night life experience than Tavern at the Beach is a must. The drinks are reasonable, the dancing is good, and the male/ female ratio is usually on point. Just remember if you get lucky, make sure they don't have a hook for a hand.
.
This place is aight. I came here on a weekend night. I had a legit time here. The girl to guy ratio is about even, maybe just a little slightly bit more dudes. I really did enjoy the variety of music, the dance floor is not big at all and it did get kind of crowded and hard to get to the bar because of all the guys just standing around.
The night I went there was a bunch of foreign chicks there, we met these 7 Scottish chicks there and they were just down to have a good time.
Drinks weren't bad on the price. I caught a buzz and just started shuffling the night away. I like how they got like a designated smoke area where you can just relax and smoke your stog.
The night I went it was like 25% of the guys  there were Marines. Scratch that  there were way too many darn Marines. Well this is in the PB area so that is basically expected. Just seeing high and stupid haircuts everywhere. This one guy even shouted out OorAahh after he took his shot. I just looked at him and said it aint that serious bro.
But overall legit night, and I didn't spend too much cash on the night. This place was aight.
Came here to celebrate a birthday. This is probably the only bar in PB that I actually "liked".
Parking sucks, but when we arrived, there was no line and cover was $5.
There were TVs on the wall displaying various music videos and the DJ that evening was actually playing some current and old school hip hop/R&B/rap. I have to admit, the music was pretty tight.
What I didn't like are the thugs and wannabe gangstas trying to hit up on this by bumpin' and grindin' their way to you. Now that's classy... Is that how the kids are nowadays??? Luckily the guys provided some c*ckblocking for the ladies...
This place got packed by midnight, so our crew decided to bar hop down Garnet.
Like I implied in my previous review, PB never ceases to disappoint me. I'm on a desperate pursuit for an exception; the hunt will not stop at Tavern at the Beach. Â The thing with this place is that the patrons where not nearly as douchy as the bartender. On Monday night, the special is a beer w/a shot for $5. Not bad.
My friend, Matt gets the first round:
"One Black & Tan, one Jack & Coke, and two Guinness"
Bartender:
"What shots do you want?"
Matt:
"Two shots of tequila and two shots of Jack"
Bartender quickly comes back with one Black & Tan, One Jack & Coke and ONE Guinness (which, btw was poured all in one go) then walks away from the bar to go chat with some chick on the other side of the room.
I'm waiting, waiting. Maybe he's pouring my Guinness correctly? I glance over to the taps....No that's not it.....Silly me....Waiting. OK. I'll try to get the other bartender's attention. WAITING STILL. Finally I walk over to the other side of the room where our bartender is chatting it up and ask him about the 4th drink. He and the chick roll their eyes at me and then he proceeds to argue with me, claiming that we only asked for one Guinness. He storms over to the bar and pours me my Guinness.
They were showing some interesting videos on the TVs. The music was top 100 hip hop from the late 90's. Old but OK.
I'm giving a bar in PB 4-stars.
lolwhut?
Let me explain.
There was a time in my life when I used to go out almost every night and venture in to PB because my BFF at the time only wanted to go to PB. She was the only one I knew over 21 so I acquiesced.
Somehow I ended up here so much that the door guys knew us and would let us in without waiting in line. VIP and shiz and our picture was even on rotation on their monitors. I, of course, would have a good time but I was always drunk off my ass. The few times I went sober couldn't have been more awkward and irritating, because everyone else is drunk off their ass. That and if you aren't with dudes, it CAN be a bit of a meat market.
2 years later, I'm visiting town and friends want to go to PB. I wrinkled my nose and decided to pound as much alcohol as possible. As much as I had fun before, I am now a much more mature, settled down woman. I wasn't looking forward to a return to PB.
We ended up at the Tavern. The same DJ is there (Wonderbread, what's up!) and truth be told, he plays some good cuts. Granted, there are always a small handful of songs I personally dislike, but you gotta do what you gotta do to please the masses. Still, I got to hear some 112, Too Short, and Jackson 5 ("Blame it on the Boogie", whaaaat?!?! YES!).
Not to mention the company I was with included my BFF, her lovely boyfriend, his nice friend, and two other cool girls the BFF knows. We danced until our hair was drenched in sweat and our feet hurt.
Drinks are average price: $5 for mixed. Not sure what beer was. Oh, and there is a $5 cover that I forgot to mention until now which I'm usually against but um, if you are dragged to PB, how many places in PB would actually play Jackson 5 on a Saturday night?
I say if you HAVE to go to PB due to a group of friends wanting to, do the following: get tipsy, get there early (9:30!), and if you are female be sure to have a few dudes in your group (unless you want to get picked up). This place is as good as it gets as far as the main strip of PB is concerned. A solid 3-stars under the circumstances I list here. I have to give a 4th star because I like the DJ a lot.
*sings and dances* Don't blame it on the SUNSHINE
Don't blame it on the MOONLIGHT
Don't blame it on the GOOD TIMES...
Blame it on the boogiiiieeeee!
I was forced to come here *serious post*
The girls here were so annoying and made we want to slap a ho and I am pretty passive :/
Like white girl who kicked/stepped on my friend while doing the running man. Seriously, your dance is Epic Fail. You are not cool, sorry denied.
The guys were pretty stupid too. Yeah, I am talking about you dude-with-no-rhythm who wanted to get hyphy....umm, no. you fail.
I can't fault them on their prices.....$3 beers, heck yeah.
Too bad the place sucks.
The highlight was when they played this little gem:
I'm on a boat
<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DR7yfISlGLNU&s=14e5b822f381d19d724edc8a784e556449ce3d412b775ba3cd9591c2b211062c" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.youtube.com/w…</a>
This is a good place to hang at if your not expecting tooo much for your night. I was here last Friday. I was sooo  damn faded. Here is my convo with my friend Tino Veeeee.
Tino: "Hi".
Me: "Aw brah its just like, you just get the best barrels ever dude. you come in and get spit righttt out. just drop in and smack the lip, wah BAH, just drop back in like BAHHHH, just ride the barrel and get pitted, sooo pitted like THAT".
Tino: "Que?"
Me: .. ... .
"Our house wine is Jager," is noted on a sign above the bar in the back.
Mondays for $5 beer and a shot and Wednesdays for TRL request night are good evenings to hit up the Tavern. Â Any other night between Friday to Sunday and the line outside is too long to be worth queuing up for.
One time when our hero's party asked the server for shots that were strong and original, they got Atomic Fireballs and Three Wise Men. Â The Atomic Fireballs were a strange choice for a group of guys. Â However, you cannot argue with wisdom of Jack Daniel, Jim Beam, and Johnnie Walker combined.
Our hero is a bit disappointed that the DJ didn't honor his request to play "Fuck the Police" by NWA though. Â They play largely to the crowd, meaning a lot of Top 40 and mainstream club music. Â Although they do get props for mashing up bhangra with rap.
PROS:
- The DJ's double as VJ's here and mix music videos sometimes too.
- The cleanest washrooms of any bar in PB.
CONS:
- Horrendously long lines.
- The outdoor smoking patio is fairly small.
- They'll slap a $5 cover charge on anyone, whether you're male, female, hot, stupid, homeless, balling, poor, or douchey.
