I love this place!! Â When I go, it is usually on Wednesdays for lunch when it opens. Â My husband and I would go and eat lunch with his mom before she retired. Â The food is great and cheap. Â I absolutely love the chicken and noodle specials on Wednesdays (sometimes Beef and Noodles). Â They have good cheese sticks and grilled cheese. Â There really is not a lot I have tried considering I usually go for the noodles :) Â My husband really likes the New York Strip. Â It is usually large and he says it tastes excellent -- best steak he's had. Â The waitresses are great, friendly, and hilarious. Â I definitely plan on returning as often as I can and maybe trying something besides the noodles.
Review Source:I've been here twice and mostly on a Thursday nights cause that's when they do their Prime Rib dinner night!! Â Not too bad for the price and it comes out to be less than $20/person for the standard size when you order it! Â Be warn, I've only had it twice and I go with the bigger cut, but the 2nd time I went there, there was a lot of fat on my 2nd time when I ordered the larger cut meat which I didn't get much of meat, while I went there the first time, I got a solid large cut of nothing but PRIME meat!! Â So it really depends on how the day is going. Â Also, if you're coming in at a later time, like around 6-8PM, reservation is highly recommended, along with if you're bringing a large group. Â You won't be disappointed with the other meats that they have there!
It's kind of cool cause you have a bar on one side of the section and a dinner section on the other side of this building. Â It reminds me of the old restaurants that I used to go a lot when I was a kid, where everyone who went there remembers you and have that whole family or comfort feeling to it! Â I've always gotten their fried zucchini and it's just perfect. Â Not a lot of the breading, it's evenly coated, and not too saturated in oil!!
I recommend this place for anyone who is going to school at Purdue University! It is definitely a locals only type of place, but they have a good service and its a great place!!
Stopped into TC's for dinner on the recommendation the staff at Wolf Park during a recent visit. Walked in during dinner time so the place was quite busy but then again It didnt look like there were too many dining options in Battle Ground. We were promptly seated and received very good service! I didn't know what to expect this place is half bar, half restaurant. Nothing too fancy but we were told the food was excellent and we were starving!!! Started things off with fried mushrooms which were fried perfect, not at all greasy, crunchy outside steaming hot inside. For my entree I ordered the pork filet wrapped in bacon with steamed veggies and a salad. It was grilled perfectly, nicely charred and still tender and juicy inside a little bit of smoke flavor from the bacon, It exceeded my expectations! Highly recommended!
Review Source:From the outside, this little bar doesn't really look like a lot. When we drove up, we weren't even sure if it was open, or which door to use, but we pressed on anyway and I am glad we did.
This place looks just like any small town restaurant. Its a little dark, there are beer signs everywhere and the place is full of locals. Everyone was nice though and we were greeted right away. The menu had a pretty good spread and the prices were great. Burgers were about $2.50 and my awesome chicken salad sandwich was $3.50 I think. Fries or chips do not come with the meal so you will pay extra for it, but they won't tell you that when they take your order. The buffalo chips are awesome though, so spend the couple extra bucks and get them.
When we were leaving the server offered us all free refills in to-go cups for our sodas and since its a small place, there was no sitting around for the bill. For three of us to have a sandwich, a side and a soda was 27$. Not bad at all. The onion rings were the most expensive thing we ordered too at 3.99 and totally worth it!
