First time ever at a Texas Roadhouse. Â Probably my last too. Â Very unimpressed. Â It was sooooo loud in there. Â I was there on a weeknight when it wasn't very crowded. Â They had music blasting. Â There were 8 of us at our booth and we could hardly hear the conversation going on. Â When the server took our orders, she was screaming in my ear because she couldn't hear the people at the other end of the table. Â We asked the server twice if they could turn down the music and they finally did. Â The food was ok, but nothing special.
Review Source:I was so happy that the Bourbonnais area got a Texas Roadhouse. It's the one restaurant that I love that I don't have by me. I'm by no means a country lover, but this is the one place I will tolerate it.
First off, be prepared for a serious wait. They don't take reservations - but you can call ahead. When we called ahead, we had an hour wait, and when we got there we STILL had to wait about 15 more minutes. It's a popular place. You can get a drink at the bar while you wait, or munch on some peanuts that are in the barrels scattered throughout the waiting area.
They are known for their steaks and margaritas. I'm a fan of both, along with their perfectly soft rolls and cinnamon butter. They are insanely good. I basically come here just for those. Their prices are the same as most steak joints, and you do get 2 sides with any steak you get. I like their salads as well. Everything has always tasted good, and the service this past time was exceptional. Besides the wait, I was very pleased with my experience!
