The service was very good, the food not so good. I have never been impressed with TRs food and this visit was no better. I had the baroque chicken which was more gristle than anything, the veggies were somewhere between raw and cooked. This is not the first time I have been disappointed here, so for that reason I only give them a two star rating.
Review Source:Listen, this place, dollar for dollar is a great place to grab a steak and not pay a fortune! I like a big fancy schmancy steak house as well as the next guy or girl but sometimes that's"s just not in the budget...this place satisfies your steak urge until you have the money for Ruth's Chris.
Review Source:Everything about this place was pretty good. Nothing was great. It was better than okay. I had an 8 oz sirloin, medium. It was pretty yummy. Baked potato was normal- there's not much you can say about a baked potato. They put my sour cream and butter on the side, just as I had asked. I had a cup of chili, and it was pretty good. The onions and cheese looked fake, but I didn't really expect much from a Texas Roadhouse, I suppose. Meh.
It did take forever to get our rolls. And the fryer must have broken when they were fying my friend's fries because she got half of her meal, and her boyfriend got his fries. They kept telling her "It will be just a moment on your fries." Then the server would come back to the table and ask "Really, you haven't gotten your fries yet?" I thought this strange because she hadn't brought the fries. That's not what the kitchen does, but we don't really care. By the time we were done, she asked our friend if she wanted a different side, which she opted for a baked potato instead. Â
Not really a big deal, but eh. It' a chain. Sans the fries and the rolls that took awhile to get to our table, the food was pretty quick, the server was really friendly and helpful with the menu. It was just nothing special.
An 8oz sirloin, fresh steamed veggies, a sweet potato, and rolls with cinnamon butter for $10.29? Yes, please! The food, while a touch on the salty side, was cooked expertly, and was scrumptious. We sat at the bar, not too packed on a Sunday night, and were served by Tammy, the most genuinely friendly 'lil bartender there ever was. She was engaging and interesting while pulling beers and taking orders all around, still managing to keep up a full conversation with each patron.
The Roadhouse itself is a welcoming, casual environment, where you can toss your peanut shells on the floor while talking to your sweetie, or bring the family in for steaks all around. I'm a fan!
