This is a decent restaurant.  Nothing too special, but I do like eating here once in awhile.

Most recently, I had the Minty Thai Chicken, which was quite good.  I paired that with the wonton soup, which I really liked.  Mr. Mixer had the Thai spiced soup to start and then the sesame chicken.  The chicken was just ok.  A little bland and a little too sweet.

We come here about once in a few months' time, and I think we'll keep coming here when we are in the neighborhood.

Great food and service, quiet, plenty of parking. Takeout is pretty much always ready in ten minutes. Love their pineapple curry. Definitely recommend this place.

Went for lunch.  Nice interior with about a dozen tables.  I had the Lunch special Thai Basil Chicken.  It's served with soup, egg roll and rice.  The soup and rice were okay.  The eggroll was very crispy.  The chicken had a lot of veggies which is good.  The basil flavor wasn't there.  My sister had the sesame shrimp and that was crispy good.  The price was reasonable.  It was about $15 for two lunches.  Very good for the price.

I've only gotten carryout  there once, but I'd go again, so at least we can say the food didn't hospitalize me.

I went with basics - pad thai and chicken sate.  The pad thai, while not the best I've ever eaten (it was a bit dry), was pretty good, and the portion size was awesome.  I also asked for tofu instead of chicken, and they gave me a lot of it.  Like the pad thai, it was a bit dry, but I was craving it so much I inhaled it anyway.

On the sate, this was a little disappointing.  The amount was generous, but the chicken was a little overcooked.  However, what really annoyed me was the peanut sauce.  They gave me about a teaspoon of it in a miniscule container.  It was very runny, but also nowhere near enough.  I asked for more, and he gave me a larger container and told me it would be 50 cents.  Not a biggie, but seriously....when it's that runny, just give it to me already!  Also, it came with a couple bites of fresh pineapple.  That's when the "pan asian" kicked in and I realized this wasn't true Thai.

What almost bumped this down to 2 stars (but I'm feeling generous) was the manager or whoever was on duty when I picked up the food.  He was surly to the point of rudeness.  For example, when I ordered tofu instead of chicken with the pad thai, I wanted to make sure he didn't assume I'm vegan and leave off the egg, etc.  (I've had issues with this in the past when tofu isn't listed as a menu option).    So I clarified that and he looked at me like I'd just grown another head.  And then he copped an attitude about the extra sauce.

As long as people don't expect this to be totally Thai, it's decent enough, and the  prices are reasonable for what you get.

They really need to take out "Thai" out of their name and change it to Chinese. This place wasn't anything close to a Thai restaurant but more of an overpriced dollar scoop spot. Don't waste your time if you are looking for a tradition Thai restaurant, everything will taste like sesame chicken.

Delish! I've lived in the neighborhood for years, and for some reason have never tried this place. I went last night and was pleasantly surprised. The orange  beef was hands-down the best I've ever had - slightly crispy on the edges and tender everywhere else. The pineapple chicken curry was amazing as well. We also split a chicken slaw salad that was huge and enough to serve three people. The portions on all three entrees were much more than i would have expected for the low price. I would very much recommend this restaurant for both food and value.

PS - the sign on the door said they do have free delivery contrary to what the info for the restaurant says above.

    Out of 5 *:
    Food *****
Atmosphere ? (only did take out)
Service *** (only did take out; -1 * as I hate those "TIP" jars)
    Price $$  ****
Overall:  ****1/2 (Rounded to 5* for my YELP rating)

Alright.  Let's get something straight.  YELP can be misleading.  I skipped this place to try PEARL OF SIAM, and I must say...I SHOULD NOT HAVE!  IMHO, this is the best Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.

Jonesin' for some Thai again (when am I not?), so I gave this place a shot a few weeks back.  Hadn't been here since it was Thai Basil, and at that time, I was not impressed.  At that time, Panang only came as MED-HOT.  Why?  Don't know.  But that was then and this is now "Thai Garden", and all is well in Panang land (and Thai land for that matter).

A few weeks back, I ordered panang chicken (mild) and some Thai Spring Rolls (aren't these really Vietnamese?).  Must say that both were really tasty and well balanced.  The rice paper Spring Rolls were CHIPOTLE-esq (when compared to other Thai/Vietnamese restaurants)!

Went back last night and was not disappointed.  Got some Panang Chicken (med), Pad Thai (mild), Thai Spring Rolls, and TYG** (or Thai Spiced Soup).  All were great except the TYG.  It was so-so.

    Panang Chicken:  ****1/2
The Panang Chicken even had some tomatoes in it!
And for your information, Wild Ginger, tomatoes in Panang Chicken is Da BOMB!   Don't give me the "won't taste right" line, Wild Ginger.  How about "we are cheap" line instead.  (vent over)

    Pad Thai:  ****1/2
The Pad Thai was really really good for noodles.  Even with take out, it was not a glutinous mess.  The noodles separated well, the chicken was not dry, and the egg added nice flavor.  Maybe it could have used some more crushed peanuts and bean sprouts, but that was it.

    Thai Spring Rolls:  *****
    Big.  Soft.  Flavorful peanut sauce.

    TYG:  **
(BTW, the BEST TYG is at Moon Thai Express; only thing MTE needs to add are some button mushrooms, and it would be perfection)
Not much in this soup except for 4-5 shrimp, onions, button mushrooms, and peppers.  Flavor was so-so.  I always add rice to mine, and that made it bland.
Compared to MTE:   6-8 shrimp, onions, pea pods, bamboo shoots, water chesnuts, baby corn, peppers, and carrorts, but no button mushrooms. :(  Plenty of flavor even with rice added.

The best kicker is that the amount of food provided for the money is AWESOME!
    Let's review...
    32oz Panang, ($9)
    32oz soup, ($6)
    2 Chipotle-esp Spring Rolls, ($6)
dense Pad Thai* (must have been 5lbs of food), ($9)
    2 fortune cookies
    --------------------
    $31 (tax included)

Channeling my best Arnold (minus the love child)... "I'll be back."

*(and for some reason I got shrimp in my Pad Thai.  Not complaining, but those allergic to shellfish need to be careful that their dish was prepared correctly.)

**[For those not in the Thai-know, TYG=Tom Yum Goong (hot/sour soup)]

UPDATE:  updated the "atmosphere" and "service" description.  Sorry if anyone took it to mean that they do not deliver.

Got the Thai Spring Rolls.  From what I remember, the peanut sauce was thicker last time I was there.  The flavor of the peanut sauce was good, just that it was too runny.

The atmosphere is fun and different.  Their food is fine.  I had jalapeño chicken and there was plenty of chicken and veggies on the plate.  My rice was in the shape of a pyramid. My husbands was in the round.  Very nice touch. He had the sirachi beef without onions so they gave him a lot of broccoli.  I just like a lighter sauce.   It's in the neighborhood so we will go back I am sure.  Plus they deliver.

Much better a second time around, though frankly I stayed away from that Thai BBQ Chicken disaster. Came here with Sahib's baby-mama and her offspring. We ordered two types of rolls for starters (traditional cold Vietnamese and crispy spring), both tasty and with delicious dipping sauces - a sweet curried peanut sauce (same you'd get for Satay), and Thai sweet'n'spicy - my personal favorite. Of course, they rock the Sriracha, too, so taste sensations abound!

Our mains were decent and Sahib's baby's mama's babies ate all their food, so that's a darn good sign. Plus, I like Fusion. Any kinda Fusion, really. Asian, European, Cold, Nuclear... it's all about the Fusion. We'll come back again.

    Optimus OUT!

THe only reason it gets a two is because the food was ok.  I ordered for delivery and based on the customer service I will never order again.  An expectant and ungrateful employee has lost them whatever I would spend annually as well as a bad review via the web and word of mouth.  Congratulations.

Small family owned restaurant.  Mix of Asian entrees. Clean and friendly. Sometimes the service is a little slow for the number of customers.  The food is good but my taste buds weren't exploding into space or anything.  Maybe thats a good thing.

My sister tried to order take out and was put on hold for 30 mins.   Later we went to the restaurant because she really wanted thai food and they barely had any customers, why the long hold?  I would say this place is overpriced for the quality and the food.  They don't list all their ingredients in their menu and the waitress asked how things were and I told her about my dissatisfaction, all she said was "next time just let me know."  Usually if a customer is not satisfied because they were unaware an ingredient they didn't know about is present in the food, you would expect they would do something.  Also I've been to many thai restaurants and had much better food and service elsewhere to even consider this place again.  I am appalled why anyone would waste their time and money here.

A friend and I wanted a place to get some take out the other night and stumbled upon Thai Garden. The menu is much bigger than other asian restaurants in the area, and they have wine and beer available as well.

Tried the pad thai, sesame chicken, soft shell crab, and hot-and-sour soup. All of them were great. My husband loves sesame chicken and said that it was the best he'd ever had.

The decor in the restaurant is great. They have two huge vases, and lots of wall hangings.

I live in SE Aurora -- land of chain restaurants and big box stores.
Ironic, since I hate chains ( except PF Chang's), but I get sick of driving into Denver for meals out.  last year I wandered into Thai Garden and could swear that it was a Thai Basil, but either way, I liked it.
    I gave it a 3 stars...but I have 2 different categories-- Budget and Upscale
This is a budget 3 star restaurant  Versus an Upscale 3 star like SwimClub, Broker, etc where you'll pay $100 for a couple and your expectations are higher.
So, on my 1st visit, I was inbetween appointments and had a good hour to kill.
I ordered a lunch special and was really pleasantly surprised.  Nice portion of meat/veggie, and although I didn't want the sides, you also get an egg roll and rice of your choice.  I did order a hot/sour soup ( the best hot/sour in the greater Aurora ) and wasn't charged.  Not sure if it comes with the lunch, or if they subbed the other stuff.
I've been back at least a dozen times, and each time we had a great Chinese lunch -- I really can't call it Thai, but it doesn't matter, it's tasty.

We turned up at TGAF and wondered if the place was closed - there were a couple of cars in the parking lot, but it looked kinda dark inside. Sure enough, it was indeed open. I liked the decor - a wall of colorful silk flowers and grasses greets you by the door, and inside there are life-size fake palm trees, and over-sized Ming-style vases. But it was so... empty. To cut a long story short, one of the servers explained that the restaurant had just experienced a partial powercut. Thus they had limited lighting and cooking facilities, but there was no AC, no TV, no music, and no telephone lines. Sucky... But at least we got our food!

The Tom Yum Goong ($6) was decent, but once again I sadly reminisced about the mind-bogglingly good TYG they served at our fave Thai restaurant back in Columbus. His Pad Se-Lew ($9) was a tad sweet but still really good (gotta love those wide rice noodles). Happily, the star of the show was my Crispy Duck ($12). I was a bit wary when I ordered it cuz you never know if you're gonna end up with a pile of ducky bones and fat, but this was definitely not the case. There was a LOT of meat, and the skin was perfectly crisp. The accompanying coconut/peanut sauce didn't taste especially homemade, but it was still quite good (drizzle sparingly. A little goes a long way).

Despite the restaurant's setbacks, I wouldn't hesitate in returning. The duck was fantastic. I hope it wasn't a fluke.
