Classic west side Beaverton bar. Good food and drinks.  I worked at a long ago closed bar down the road in the 70s ....  We would roll to the tilly for coffee nudges. I was there in January 2012. Still a fun place

Went here last week on a Monday and was pleasantly suprised. The place was empty so we had the whole patio to ourselves. The drinks were expensive and were not strong. The best part was the food on the late night happy hour at 10pm the mozzerella sticks and jalepeno poppers were home made and made fresh while we waited they were awesome

I've been going to the Tillicum since days beyond. I haven't been in awhile and DH and I were in the area. I want to say first and foremost and overall, that the food here is like nothing you would expect from such a place.

You're thinking typical bar / Pub food, actully... no. I was pleasantly surprised by the how good the food was. Granted only had something off the HH menu but what little we had was enough to knock my socks off.

Typically the hot wings in these kinds of places are dry and just ick! The buffalo wings here were quite juicy and hot. I had the Chicken Pot stickers, was just enough to hit the spot but I think I wanted more. Got some big drinks too, I always get my vodka on the rocks, I only needed a couple here. Thanks for the memories Tillicum again! :)

our friends took us here for dinner. this would probably have been the last place i would have ever thought of to try to eat at, but they assured us that they have been several times and that it was good. so i agreed and we entered through the back door.

its a dive bar / sports bar. new big screens line the walls, there are two pool tables that are free to play and some tables. we got a table and sat down. a very nice lady came to take our drink orders while we looked at the menu. the food is bar food and just about everything is fried. i was surprised to see how expensive everything was. my club sandwich was 9 bucks, which is more than i would have spent at the bunk bar. they had entrees going all the way up to 18 dollars. why someone would spend that much on food in a bar is beyond me.

the food came out though and it was good. we had two big appetizer plates (13 bucks each). appetizer plate one and appetizer plate too are very similar, just order the first one if you are tempted to try. the fried mushrooms are pretty good. the food came out and that too was pretty good. my club sandwich was big, though my fries were really soggy and i didnt really care for them. i was hoping they would have the thin crispy fries you usually get at a diner, instead they had natural cut fries.

the service was really nice. took a while to get our food, but the staff was really friendly and appreciative that we ate there. there was also live music while we were there.

this is not a destination place for me. but i cant complain too much and would maybe stop by to watch the game if i were in the area.

Stopped in for some live music and decided to grab a sandwich. Had the prime rib dip w/fries & salad. The salad was your typical bag salad but it was nice and crisp with no bad pieces of lettuce. I ordered the prime rib medium rare and it came out a touch more cooked but certainly acceptable considering we aren't talking a steak house here.

The downside were the fries. It never ceases to amaze me how many places that should serve good fries just butcher them. Limp, greasy and Luke warm from the warming tray is never a good combination. Skip the fries.

The crowd was light and the service was attentive which was nice considering I was drinking a diet coke and the tip didn't increase with each refill.

If they could make good fries I'd bump the star rating. To four.

The Tilly has all. The right pieces to be a great little bar with some attention to the details.

I adore this bar. The Happy Hour rocks and the drinks are strong. The pool tables are often too busy to get in, but the play is free and is always a good time. The live music is right up my ally with a variety of local rock and blues.
And being located a few miles from my house makes it ideal for a good stroll home!!

It is a sad thing when a local great falls from grace and such is the Tillicum.  I have been a patron there off and on for 10 years and I am sad to say it is a shadow of its former self when it comes to food service.
The Monte Cristo, my absolute fav and half the reason I would go in there, was cold in the middle, the ranch dressing that I ordered for my fries was water thin and instead of a cup of strawberry preserves you now get a couple of little plastic single service of strawberry Smuckers.  The yummy home cut fries have been replaced with generic freezer fries.

Drinks are still strong and cheapish...service is OK and you really can't go wrong with Norman Sylvester rockin the house, it is hard to have a bad time.

My advice to the new owner....talk to your regulars and bring back the old menu...and stay the hell from out behind the bar.  Watching her stumbling around back there without a clue is not pretty and slows down her bartenders.

When I asked her to cash out my tab, rather then take the cash I offered her, she ran my card.  What part of "CASH out my tab" was giving you trouble sweetie?

I will of course still go back to listen to the best blues on the Westside, but I will find someplace else to have dinner first.

went here last night for the first time, we were bar hopping for my birthday. it looks like it was also the owner's bday, judging from the sigh by the bar stating happy birthday to her. it was pretty crowded in the bar area but empty near the pool tables. there was a band, which is always a bonus, and the staff was super friendly. we are going to go back and try out the pool tables soon. we're not used to free pool!

Late February Update for the Tilly:

I felt I wanted to give this place another chance.  Jim Mesi and band were there and that should be a big draw.

    Not so much.

Sorry Tilly.  I wish you a better demise than this, honest.  But you're not a happening place any more.
I still suggest a GOOD website and some advertisement.

Will I go back?  Yeah-to see specific groups that may play, if I remember to search out whats playing here.  Why it should be so hard to find out who is in the lineup I don't know.  A bit of radio advertisement would go a long way and a good website with someone who can position your site in Google might also help.

    Alsi, waitstaff was uninterested.

You got 3 stars for the good times I've had here in the past.

I love good old neighborhood bars now that the smoking indoors has been banned and this is one of my favorites!  This is a cozy bar with a nice patio.

The new owner, Maighread, is a sweetheart and she bends over backwards to accomodate her patrons.  There was a bartender there who seemed to think a smile would crack her face in two but she is no longer there.  Jojee and Michelle are both very friendly servers and they all did a great job accomodating a couple of recent happy hour groups I brought in, one with about 30 people and another evening with about 55 people.

There are a couple of pool table offering up free pool,  happy hour nibbles are served up hot and fast and drinks are strong and cold.  They also have live music on weekends beginning at 8, I think.
