I am assuming that this is the go to for those who do not enjoy Filling Station Pub and or Callaghan being too busy. I don't like Filling Station and whenever Callaghan isn't open, that's where I am going to go.
They have two pool tables that requires a dollar bill or quarters. Most regulars hold the table but if you are patient, you will be able to play. The bar seating area isn't that big and is always crowded during the weekends.
For the few times, I've been there, I've found a guy sitting at the bar with an oxygen tank next to him, doing tequila shots, a drunk customer trying to hit on the bartender who was busy trying to tell him off by pretending to like girls only, a guy helping a girl learn german(the obvious cuss words on a first lesson), etc... This is a perfect place to people watch.
Men, careful with the restroom. The sink is right where the door is. You'd most likely get hit hard if someone drunk enough opened the door without reading the sign about opening the door slowly.
Parking is plenty right in front of the bar where you will usually find people smoking. I have noticed cops sitting on the other side of the parking lot and pulling people over once they drive off the bar premises. Be safe.
One of my favorite places. Good drink, GREAT service. The secret not everyone knows about is that the food is so good. All items can be ordered "Tom Cat" style which means seasoned with spices, jalepenos, and grilled green onions. You can get crinkle fries that way, and the best are their wings.
The prices are good too. Craft beer fans will find a limited tap selection but they usually have BP Sculpin and Yellow Tail available.
Service here is awesome. Come twice and the staff will recognize you and remember what you like. Many regulars that are friendly. Don't let appearances fool you. This place is a great neighborhood bar.
Good bar food. Â Ordered: the spicy chicken wings - really good, full of flavor, the fried mushrooms - comparable to dave & buster's and batter was great but it leaves you with a greasy feeling after, and the frisco melt - not enough cheese to make it a melt but it was ok. Â served with crinkle cut fries.
