My sister, Lori, was in from San Diego, so she, I, Toot and Chap went to see the Bronx Bombers at the new Yankee Stadium. When we first walked into this beautiful new stadium we spotted Tommy Bahamas up stairs over the main concourse. We were thirsty after taking the NJ Transit train from Aberdeen into Penn Station in Manhattan and then jumping on the C to the D subways to get out right at the stadium. It's  right across the street from the "old" Yankee Stadium. We decided to have a round at Tommy's before finding our seats. We had three beers and Chap had a Tommy Bahama's Rum with Diet Coke replacing his usual Bacardi. Not surprisingly they only sell Tommy Bahama's Rum there and Chap said it was quite tasty. The round as described above set us back $36, which I guess should be expected, somebody has to pay these guys all those millions. If it wasn't a 1 pm game we probably would have brought some beer on the train but we started out a little early for that. The barkeep was friendly enough and we talked over what was available with her. They have frozen drinks in those "yard glasses" (I think that's what they're called) you know, the REAL TALL ones, with like a 2 foot straw. They have the usual Margaritas and Pina Coladas, etc., and those cost about $15 each, but you get to keep the plastic glass, which is about $6 if bought separately. All in all a cool place, with views of the concourse and of the fans arriving outside the stadium. A good place to kick off the day but a little steep to hang at for a lengthy stay.
