I can't really imagine why you would come here unless it was before, during, or after a Yankees game, but if that's the reason for you coming, you won't be let down! I think it's a great space to go before the game, especially if you're from out of town. Â Yes it is extremely close to the stadium, but it is literally HUGE. Â I felt like I was in a fun house. Â You just keep going, and going, and going and there is tons of room to sit and stand and do whatever you please. Â It's a great meeting spot if you are meeting a large group. Â I thought it was a great atmosphere, especially before the game. Â It was fun to be amongst all the fans. Â Most of the beers were typical nyc overprice (although not as overpriced as inside the stadium), but they did have a few specials, specifically cheap PBR pint cans. Â Can't exactly remember how much they were, but if I recall correctly it was only a few dollars. Â The bar tenders were friendly, and there are so many rooms and bars that I really didn't have to wait a single second to get a beer. Â Will definitely be coming back here next time I'm at Yankee Stadium!
Review Source:Great spot for a few beers before going into Yankee Stadium and forking over a bundle for a $9 bud or $12 Stella. Â If you're a fan of PBR this is the place to go. Â $3 for a pint can. Â Can't go wrong.
The inside is huge but not many seats. Â Not a big deal. Â Most folks are only staying a little while anyway. Â The "food" is nothing to speak of, basic franks, burgers and pretzels mostly. Â
The place caters to real baseball fans who want a quick brew or 2. Â Although they allow kids I wouldn't suggest bringing them. Â It can get loud and a bar full of drinking baseball fans is not a place for kids anyway. Â I like the place and would definitely recommend it over other bars in the area.
I sit in the bleachers, so this is the perfect location for me before a game. Â Beers are cheap, service is fast, and the waitresses/bartenders are nice. Â Lots of TVs and a few places to sit. Â When you walk in, it looks ridiculous packed, but just keep walking to the back...plenty of room.
The bathrooms are lame, and the food doesn't look so hot, but I'd never think to eat here. Â Like another reviewer said, I do not love that they allow kids in here with parents. Â But those are my only gripes...this is my home all season before claiming my spot in the bleachers :)
