  OK.  My hubs and I decided to give this another shot.  This time, we only ordered the sushi.  EXCELLENT.  I was very pleased.  I would not recommend the fish dinners, but the sushi is filling and yummy.

  WOW, Noah! I've been looking for something better throughout this country as well, and NOTHING can top my hometown's sushi; granted it's the only good sushi around that area- I completely agree. I've sampled many a city's soosh, and nothing compares.  Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon, and the Spider roll make my eyes roll back in my head. No silly "spicy sauce" (that mayonnaise-y stuff you get at most places, even the decent ones). The spiciness is IN the roll, yet never distracts from the fresh and distinctive flavor of the fish itself. If you have to wait for a server, or 40 minutes for one or two rolls to be prepared-- Deal! It's worth it. In the meantime, take the time to memorize the looped soundtrack- that's a kick in itself.

  Toyo Grill, with its kitch but sophisticated ambience is certainly more than just the looks. With a full sushi bar, the sashimi, sushi, and rolls are all 100% handmade upon order by the sushi men. The variety of all the different rolls from dragon to spicy crunch tuna maki (mmmm) is a WHOLE LOT! They serve the freshest sushi and sashimi and the other dishes they serve are just superb! I fell in love with the sashimi and the fresh tempura which are all made upon order only. Also, the bento boxes are HUGE! mmmm~
  Not only do they serve Japanese food but also a wide selection of Korean dishes. Their galbi (korean bbq short ribs) and Bi bim bop  are to die for and the complimentary korean side dishes are a bliss!
  The servers there are really nice and accomodating as well. What a pleasant surprise here in South Bend/Mishawaka area! I am so glad that I found this irresistable gem in such a bland town ;))
