The Kabob House

Tandoori nan and chicken fresh. They have the tandoori oven in the front so you can see it in action. Expensive though lunch buffet is a good deal.

This wasn't the worst place I've ever eaten, but it was far from the best.  I'll have to agree with the rest of the vegetarians that didn't enjoy the food: the vegetable shahi korma was slightly undercooked and incredibly bland.  On the other hand, the Fatoosh tasted great (whether it was authentic, I have no idea, never having had that before).  The sweet lassi was good too, though I've never had the generic sweet lassi flavored before.  My boyfriend had the beef and lamb shawarma wrap, which he really liked a lot.  (He warns that it's a little unwieldy and you should be prepared to get messy if you eat it!)

Really I think the problem of this place is it overreaches. It's got a little of everything (literally, everything... Italian pasta, baked potatoes, poppers, nachos, Pakistani and Afghani dishes, fried green beans... loooots of stuff) and they don't do much of it well at all, unfortunately.

The server was kind of fun.  She reminded me of a young kooky Cindy Lauper.  She had no idea what anything was and didn't know the name of the owner of the restaurant, but hey, it was cool.  She was adorable, so that made up for it.

Also, service was SLOW.  I got the the restaurant at 6:15 and didn't get my food (which was to go, at that) until 7:30.  

And as for the owners, Cindy said that one of the owners was Pakistani and one was Afghan.

What a waste of money to go to this place! Food was far from what I expected considering the owners are from Pakistan. Menu is completely designed for Americanized customers a big mistake in my opinion, service is very poor, I even saw customers sitting themselves and picking their own menu, but what got me worse was the food. The only reason I could go back there is to complain for the food. They need to hire the right crew to save this place from poisoning more people!
