There are some unfavorable reviews about this place. I believe its because some people really prefer their food to be served in a clean environment. Can I honestly say this place is exquisitely clean? No, it is dark and dingy, and the fish kind of make me squirm when I go in (I sit with my back to them).

However: the food is excellent. Tom is friendly, welcoming, and serves large portions for the price. My Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle) is always spicy when I ask. The Pad Thai and Pad See Ew are always excellent. Can't speak for the meat dishes, since I am vegetarian.

Bottom line: If you go, go for the food, not the environment. Mind over matter, food over mind!

Upon entry, the place is dark and the sign lighting is poor.  Not much different than another Chinese hole, if you ask me.  So, that was not bothersome.

There were two Thai places right there and we picked this one, based on overall reviews.  I ordered a Pad See Ew.  I ordered it 4 out of 5 on the hottttt scale and it came out as a 0.  Companion got the Garlic Chicken as a 3 on the hotttt scale and it just tasted like Black Peppered Chicken.  There was NO flavor to my Pad See Ew and there was NO hottt at all.  I dont think this place knows Thai food at all.

We had a side of egg rolls and they were terrific, however.

I would not return, unless you are looking for standard Chinese fair....like fried rice.  Not sure if the flavor of that would even be above average.

The owner was nice.  We just wont return.  Cambodian Thai can not be beat.  I will try this Noodly Alley I hear about in these reviews, soon.

Fish tanks were clean, but not attractive.  Just 2 big fish swimming around and two big plecostemus, no decorations.

I agree with the average scores the reviewers usually give most places, but I really don't think this one deserves to have such high rating.

True I have only been there once and one can argue that that's not enough to have the background for judging the place. However, for the time being I'd say it is.

As it was the case with another reviewer, I ended up going to this place because Noodle Alley happened to be closed that day. From the outside this place looks old but normal. As you walk in, however, the place immediately turns into this big creepy and shady dark room.

Upon ordering my food, I saw the owner/waiter/cashier promptly going to his kitchen to begin preparing my dish. To my surprise, seconds later I heard what appeared to be the sounds of someone operating a microwave. Now I can't say for sure whether he was using it to defrost something or to heat up my whole dish, but the opening-closing-operating of that microwave went on for a while until I got my food, which by the way did not taste particularly good.
