This weekend the Skillet expanded their buffet to include other European dishes. It was REAL Hungarian goulash (not the macaroni, the soup kind), REAL homemade Swedish meatballs that were seasoned wonderfully, and most of all potato pancakes that were hand made and tasted like they were made by my very own Babcia! Â The German potato salad was excellent, as were the perogi. The Shepherd's pie was yummy, as was the chicken Paprikash. Â We've been fans of the Polish Buffet, but these additions made this a special treat. Â Their food is homemade, not from boxes/large cans. Â I have not found another food place in the area (and we eat out daily) that makes HOMEMADE PIES... yes, crusts AND filling. Â NOT from a mix filling!!!
This place is a bargain for real comfort food.
