Salsa's is a decent place to get Mexican food in Mishawaka, especially for a place I assume is a chain. The interior has a sort of faux Mexico decor that I've heard described as being very Epcot like. Good food, and good service.

I'm a big fan of Salsa's. Having moved here from California I was bummed that we couldn't get good Mexican food - at least until Salsa's opened. I love the guacamole made at your table and also the chile rellenos. Their portion sizes are really large so don't fill up on the chips. I can't vouch for the desserts since I've always been too full to try them. My only complaint with Salsa's would be the slow service when you're with a large group.

Our first visit to Salsa's was for dinner last night.  For once, I'm glad I didn't read the reviews first since we probably would have ventured elsewhere.  Salsa's is locally owned, which is always a bonus in our book.

We arrived around 7:00 for dinner and the place was pretty full - lots of families.  We were seated immediately (hostess didn't seem very happy to be working and a smile and hello would have been nice).

Our server greeted us immediately.  We asked about the 99 cent wine special that was advertised at the door, but he knew nothing about it.  He went to ask the bartender if they served wines and what kind...they served wine and yes it was on special, but we opted to skip the cheap wine, which I'm sure was a good decision.

I ordered the house margarita and my fiance got a Dos Equis draft.  The margarita was huge (and only $5.99), but nothing special.

As soon as we received our drinks the guy came around with the tableside guacamole made to order ($7.99).  We opted for everything but tomatoes with medium heat (which was really mild).  Guac was delicious and worth a trip (and worth 3.5 stars if that was an option).  Chips were fresh and the salsa was flavorful.  It was served with a white, ranchlike dipping sauce (maybe trying to copy Hacienda's ranch?), but it tasted like a package of dried Italian seasoning mix with a dash of cayenne...not good and not needed.

I ordered two chicken enchiladas and my fiance ordered a combo with a beef enchilada and beef burrito.  Our dinners were served in less than 10 minutes despite the fact they were pretty busy.

The enchiladas were ok, but not very flavorful.  The diced chicken breast was dry and lacked seasoning, but the enchilada sauce was good with a nice smokey taste.  The beef enchilada and burrito were almost identical except for the corn and flour tortillas.  The ground beef was more seasoned than the chicken.

My fiance ordered the fried ice cream which was huge and he seemed to like it.  I had a few bites, but wasn't really worth the calories.

Our server was fantastic and very attentive.
