Went here on a group dinner with my in-laws and their family friends. We were pretty much the only ones there. Its not a bad place decor-wise. They have valet parking out front, which they are going to need cuz the area sucks for parking..But we got lucky and found a spot right outside.
Honestly the food was average at best. The only thing that caught my attention I think was a stuffed pork chop that someone else order, and I wish I did. LOL. Other than that, from apps. down to main courses, just wasn't much.
Never heard of it. Â Went in....catering too to reserved upper class. Â I went in smug and Pompous like a champ. Â My table was the only guest in the hole place. Â I be surprised if this place last. Â Service was very nice...they did run out of Maui but not that big of a deal. Â The food was decent and price wasnt bad neither. Â Great wine and peaceful atmosphere. I had cavatelli and chopped up pork...different but kinda lacked taste. Â Missing something.
I would repeat if I was in whitestone...and hey Look Yelp coupon! raising the roof...Im raising it!
Was here over the weekend for a Baby Shower and I have to say the place is really nice. Its small and not gigantic but very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathrooms were extremely clean too.
The brunch was served buffet style- croissants, muffins and bagels (all good) with fresh fruit melons, cantelope, pineapple. Scrambled eggs, french toast and sausage links were served though I didnt have any. Penne ala vodka was very tasty and the pasta was cooked aldente- my only gripe is I think there was cheese added in before it was served and I prefer no cheese. Rice balls were probably my most favorite there- and Im serious about rice balls so I was worried when over reviewers said they werent very good. I really liked them and would order them again. They also had eggplant/zucchini balls which looked the same as the rice balls but according to my mom they didnt have much flavor. Chicken marsala was alright- I found the chicken to be tough and dry but the sauce was very good and helped with the flavors.
Overall I would recommend this place- I dont live in the area so I wouldnt travel all the way for dinner- but its a nice place when you want something local.
Disappointing! A year ago we had dinner at Trattoria Neo with another couple to celebrate their wedding and had amazing food. Went again recently and it was AWFUL! I left sick. After we sat down we were asked what we would like to drink and then it took 20 min to get a menu! We shouldn't have walked right out when we saw the dining area empty. Only two other tables were being occupied. Â The waiters were like 18 years old. Sweet but not experienced at all!
The appetizer, fried calamari in sweet and sour sauce was disgusting. We had a few bites and were hoping that when they picked up the plate they would ask why it was not eaten. Didn't happen. For dinner we ordered the Stringhetti which had no flavor (had to add salt and grated cheese a few times just to make it edible) the sauce was watery, pasta overcooked and the Shrimp and asparagus Risotto special also had no flavor, watery, overcooked. We were too embarrassed to return the food. What happened to this place?!?! I have NEVER written a bad review but this was warranted.
Disregard the previous bad reviews.. This place is amazing!!! I had my bridal shower here and will definitely return for dinner. Â I had the salmon and my fiance had the chicken both dishes were delicious. Â The salad, pasta and dessert were also wonderful. Â The staff was very attentive to my guests, making sure that everyone was satisfied. Â I am so pleased with this place and thankful that they made sure that my bridal shower was fantastic
.
Food was bad, For my entre I ordered the seafood special.. Â the mussels and clams were rotten. Â Bit one and it tasted like I was eating a dead fish that was slimy and left in the sun for a week. Â The appetizer was not cooked... Â baked clams that were raw with flavored bread crumbs. Â Â The service was nonexistent. Â The waiters just walked around and were not professional at all. Â Â We asked for our check to pay and we waited for over 20 minutes. Â The waiter just forgot us. Â The restaurant was empty. Â The only thing they did promptly was refill our water glasses.. Â the bread basket was placed 15 Â minutes after we sat. Â Locally there are better places to eat at. Â I will never eat here again.
Review Source:Don't love this place, much better resturants in the area with better prices, food, and service.
The food is good, but nothing to rave about. I prefer Gino's or Pappazzio's.
The service is one of the things that isnt great about this place. Slow, always have to ask for refills, one of them seemed pissed to even be there. Also, the menu is small not much of a selection and its easy to look and not be able to pick anything simply because nothing catches your eye. Kind of boring. Â But, if you do go here get the homemade Limoncello, that is good. Everything else, is just okay.
Lovely place! Great food, excellent service, friendly bartender. Did we want more bread? Yes, nice slices of garlic toast. Water was refilled without having to ask. The rack of lamb was delicious and the mozzarella used on the dish I ordered was fresh. Â Definitely worth a trip. Really good house wines with a good wine list.
Review Source:Stumbled upon this place one night with my wife for her 30th birthday and want to just say what a find!
Located only 6 miles from our house. The decor was good but the food and service was better. The wait staff is very attentive.
Bread basket was never let run down to less than one slice before refilled.
We had gotten a gift certificate for this restaurant from <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> so we both decided to live outside of our safety zone.
For appetizer we both had the "Robiola Pizzeta" best described as a baked dough with melted, liquefied cream cheese in the middle of it, stuffed. definitely worth trying as I will be ordering this on my next visit to the Trattoria.
Also had their zucchini "meatballs" delicious and worth a try as well.
My wife had a half dozen clams "crudo style" = raw! Â very delicious very comparable to those fancy high end seafood restaurants.
For entrees veal sorrentino and the grilled strip steak florentino were selected and so glad they were the veal was savory with every bite right to the end and steak was prepared just to my liking of medium well..
Also as a side chose the soft polenta with Gorgonzola.
The desserts all looked so tasty but passed on do to the fact that had cake at home with a more romantic setting just my wife and I.
