Fancy smancy looking KTV with a full bar, couches, love seats, sofas, and other loungy furnishings. It also has a ballroom floor... (wtf?) Â What's the best part? It has an inconspicious entrance. Yeah you feeling cool now?
It is a modern little place to chill and sing some Jay Chou*. Â My group of friends went for the 80 dollar / hr room, which in my opinion wasn't worth the price tag compared to other KTV spots in the area. Sooo lets break it down for you:
Pro:
- Fancier interior design
- Full bar
- ballroom?
- dice game
- comfty big couches
Cons
- cord mic
- echo-y mic
- no controls to adjust the above.
- pricey
Because of the more expensive price tag, you're not competing for the booking with the younger under-employed crowd, which makes Place at Main a safe fallback to continue your evening debauchery.
* Lol. Shut up.
I've been here more than a couple of times with large groups of friends. Â My thoughts are ...
PROS:
-Location is clear and easy to/from public transportation. Â
-Only a few blocks away from the big parking lot.
-If you are here to drink and sing - prob the most bang for your buck (which is why we always end up here - the room costs + liquor comes out to barely anything)
Cons:
-The rooms are sometimes left filthy.
-The bathrooms are sometimes filthy.
-Music Selection needs plenty updating.
-ALWAYS try to pay with cash. Â We've had a few times that we decided to use a credit card and without fail - FRAUDULENT CHARGES every single time. Â It's a shame that some employees here can not be trusted.
