Fancy smancy looking KTV with a full bar, couches, love seats, sofas, and other loungy furnishings. It also has a ballroom floor... (wtf?) Â What's the best part? It has an inconspicious entrance. Yeah you feeling cool now?
It is a modern little place to chill and sing some Jay Chou*. Â My group of friends went for the 80 dollar / hr room, which in my opinion wasn't worth the price tag compared to other KTV spots in the area. Sooo lets break it down for you:
Pro:
- Fancier interior design
- Full bar
- ballroom?
- dice game
- comfty big couches
Cons
- cord mic
- echo-y mic
- no controls to adjust the above.
- pricey
Because of the more expensive price tag, you're not competing for the booking with the younger under-employed crowd, which makes Place at Main a safe fallback to continue your evening debauchery.
* Lol. Shut up.
I've been here more than a couple of times with large groups of friends. Â My thoughts are ...
PROS:
-Location is clear and easy to/from public transportation. Â
-Only a few blocks away from the big parking lot.
-If you are here to drink and sing - prob the most bang for your buck (which is why we always end up here - the room costs + liquor comes out to barely anything)
Cons:
-The rooms are sometimes left filthy.
-The bathrooms are sometimes filthy.
-Music Selection needs plenty updating.
-ALWAYS try to pay with cash. Â We've had a few times that we decided to use a credit card and without fail - FRAUDULENT CHARGES every single time. Â It's a shame that some employees here can not be trusted.
This review is strictly related to the bar.
Without a doubt the most chill place to grab a drink in Flushing, but still have a crazy fun time if you want to. Â All the bartenders are cool and down to talk. Â Typically it doesn't get very packed as most patrons come for the karaoke rooms. Â This actually lends itself well to coming in here and having a great conversation with the bar staff, and other fun stuff like asking them to make ridiculous crazy cocktails.
The bar is long and separated into two parts, so you have ample space. Â I recommend sitting at the first bar section if possible, as you're in line of sight with the bartenders then. Â Also the tablet to select songs is located near the entrance, so if you want to rock out to some songs it's best to be near it. Â Usually most people just use it as a jukebox, but if it's late or the bartenders are into it, then there's ample drunken singing going on. Â The selection is the usual Flushing fare of cpop, kpop, hiphop, and Selena Gomez all-day every-day.
Drinks are $6 for most brews, and $7 for others. Â Credit card is accepted here, as opposed to some other nearby establishments living in the past which will not be named! Â Be sure to take advantage of the Yelp deal as that can be used on your bar tab, but be sure to ask first.
There are TVs which are either tuned to the karaoke machine or sports. Â If you're a smoker, you don't have to walk all the way down stairs. Â Opposite the bar there's a door which opens to the roof which you can use instead. Â Oddly enough this place closes at 2am, but frequently the crowd will drunkenly meander to the place around the corner which stays open till 4am.
Thanks to Erica, Dani, and all the staff for dealing with the drunks who roll through here.
PS. If you see a guy named Pick here, start drinking heavily. Â Trust me on this.
To further celebrate a good friend's birthday, we sat at a table in the bar area last night. The bottle was "reasonable" in price for Flushing. Maybe comparable would be a better word, because a $40 bottle of Vodka at any liquor store transforming to a $120 bottle is difficult to justify.
There is quite a diverse crowd here, from Caucasian American to African-Americans to American Born Chinese to those fresh off the aircraft from the far east, people seem to mix here. Unfortunately, there was also the odor of Marijuana coming from the crowd that evening. The NYPD also showed up after the large party inside the ballroom had adjourned. I wonder why.
Drinks: the mixed drinks are all quite good. This would be my go-to spot for listening to contemporary top 40 hip hop tracks and some throwbacks.
Service: the (mostly female) servers who work here seem friendly (and relatively attractive; this fact should not be relevant to how good the service is (!!) ), but are probably always quite busy and are simply unable to be as responsive to those sitting at the tables outside at the bar area. It took a few hours, but they were able to gain intuition as to what we needed eventually.
Allow me to comment on the KTV rooms from prior experiences at this venue: they're big, they're comfortable, but they smell and the sound system is not that great. This venue seriously needs to revamp the entire system and upgrade sound. Floors need not be carpeted, honestly, they absorb more disgusting stuff, probably cost a lot in maintenance, and is hardly a good return on investment in the grand scheme of things. (Please pardon the Bachelor's Degree thinking aloud). Anyway, the point is, the era of microphones that are wired to the wall was over a long time ago. The wire wipes the floor of dust and other unmentionables. While singing, the wire may touch your clothes. Ew.
Had my wifeys baby shower here in the v.I.p room. Place was clean, music selection catered more towards the native Asian speakers, food portions were just ok but very tasty. I think they allow weed smoking.. my room wasn't puffing but a room nearby def was lol. The overall experience was good. Â I spent $1000 here alone on my guests the least they could have done was make the soda, juice and water complimentary my guests also spent $$$
Review Source:3.5 stars....
The ROOM IS SUPER SPACIOUS (Got the VIP Room). Â Looks like you're home in your living room with all your friends singing!
Rates are pretty good if you have a large group of 20 or more ($ 100 per hour). Â And that $$ goes towards drinks and food so is consider pretty good deal.
The Machine... To find the Artist / Song / List... Is pretty confusing.... Specially if you know who you want to sing!.... Too me a while to find what I was looking for.
Sound effect - pretty Loud and clear, Mike was not wireless so you have to drag those cables around.
Huge Flat screen on 2 sides of the room for you and your friend to sing it along.....
If you are bored in your room, they have a Lounge for you to dance during weekends.
The downside... NO SPANISH MUSIC, Is mostly Chinese and 70 percent of English songs.
They got a new menu system which resembles the one at Monster nearby. It's definitely better than their previous system. The only downsides are that if you want to browse the music library or choose a song, you have to go up to the menu screen because there is no remote and the screen is not portable. This can cause traffic over by the screen, constant moving around, or one person sitting nearest to it being in charge of the music selection. I still prefer it over their previous system though. The other downside is that because this is a new installation, they haven't fully updated this music library so they're very limited on the selection - but I assume this is only a temporary problem that will be updated over time.
Review Source:I have been coming here for 2 years now  for KTV.  Three weeks ago, I noticed that they have changed a lot since they first opened up. The prices have gone up pretty high for a local karaoke. It's $50 for a small room, considering a lot of the other places are only $40. I am not a big fan of the sound system or the rooms. Some rooms have glass walls that is see through from their dance floor. Not cool... I have guys peeking through them which defeats the purpose of being in a room. No privacy....
Their bubble tea and cocktail drinks aren't the best... I think the bartender seems inexperienced or  have no training.
Their public room is controlled by the customer that pays the most. For example, if a customer buys a bottle or more, they control what songs are being played in the soundtracks. It never use to be like that. Before, everyone can freely choose their own songs and sing.
Worse business operation ever!! I had to call the police many times to settle problems with this k-bar. Songs variety is just so-so.
This place needs to have better air circulation/AC. It can get really, really stuffy and hot in those tiny private rooms. There is a ballroom attached to this business which holds dance events, parties and sorority/fraternity gatherings which could get crowded but instead of turn up the AC the manager skimps out and just opens the balcony doors and large windows.
Occasionally, due to these parties occurring at the same time as the Karaoke hours overcrowding leads to drunken fights and out of control customers. There was a incident where a drunken customer started a fight with another on the balcony and beer bottles were getting toss and some of it even landed into a private resident parking lot. Place@Main's business ethics are horrible. Can't name some of things they do here but you can try to find out through the better business bureau of nyc.
Having been to many karaoke spots, Place at Main was just average. I was here for a birthday celebration and we had the VIP room. The room was nice and spacious with leather sofas. The karaoke screen can use a bigger screen it was kind of small. The song selections were pretty good. It had many popular new English songs.
Review Source:Went here last Saturday night and had a BLAST!!! Â The DJ (dj emurge) was AWESOME and we had such a great time. Â We just sat back in the booths, had drinks, and listened to great music.
The owner is super friendly and knows how to run a good business.
The drinks a are a little pricy in my opinion having sat there all night drinking it would have been nice for some type of drink specials or something.
I love that beer pong is available and that you don't have to buy a pitcher of beer in order to play.
I look forward to one day getting a karaoke room.
Definitely going back to this place!
Went here with a few friends last week. It was a Wednesday night (and thus not very populated) and they gave us a larger room at no additional cost. I haven't been to other places in Flushing/NYC before so I don't have much basis for comparison, but we were all quite satisfied with the experience. I felt the decor was nice, the couches was comfy, and the song selection was very extensive (our group mostly chose from Chinese songs and there were basically no songs we couldn't find; I can't really speak to the English/other language collections though they looked reasonably comprehensive). The sound system was also decent, except we could've used a bit more bass, and one mic seemed significantly louder than the other (not sure if there was just some setting we missed?).
Overall a good time though. Staff is friendly and the food credits are a nice bonus--be sure to take advantage! We definitely did not order enough food. Also use the Yelp coupon, but keep in mind the service charge while budgeting.
This is clearly one of those businesses that asked their friends or workers to give them 5 star ratings because the place is not as other reviewers described
1) English songs are dated: if  you're looking for the latest, look elsewhere newest songs are a year old
2) Decor is dank and shabby: think double sided glass wall in a dark room with questionable furniture looking out at a dark empty dance studio
Food and drinks ARE included in the price of the room which is nice but when i read the reviews, I was expecting a more high tech, not to mention cleaner, place with better song selections.
I have recently visited here for my birthday party with a few of my friends. It had taken me a bit to find the location, since I am not familiar to the location, but the staff was friendly enough to help me locate them. Once I entered I was pleasantly surprised by how decorated and nice this place was. I had reserved the medium room (for 10 people) and it was more than enough space. Staff was quite friendly overall and helped us understand how to use the remote. There were plenty of English songs for me and my friends that are pretty recent too. I just wish I could've stayed longer! Would definitely enjoy going again.
Review Source:It has rave reviews on Yelp, but the decoration was not that impressive. Service was great and food arrived promptly and food tasted pretty decent, bartender was very friendly, but there's a mandatory services charge, between 10-15%. Easily run over the room price if you do drink and eat snacks.
The atmosphere was not very encouraging, I expect a bit more from a four star rated place since I had better experience in Blue Sky, which is 3 stars, and I was there less than 3 months ago.
This place is awesome !! Found this place on yelp while searching for karaoke bars in the area to celebrate my bf's bday.
We booked the VIP room for 4 hrs. with around 25 people there. Although not everyone sang everyone enjoyed themselves. The room charge is credit towards food and drinks which we all took advantage of. By the end of the night we cleared out some tables and started a little party which was fun. There is also beer pong & some dice game that I didn't understand. It was my first karaoke experience and it will not be my last. I'm looking forward to coming back here soon.
Service is great, everyone was friendly and they made sure we were taken care of. Shout out to Ben the owner for a great night !! Please check this place out you will not be disappointed. If you go with a group and you have more than 15 people go with the VIP room and your guaranteed a great time.
I am SO happy there is FINALLY a karaoke joint with legit English song selections!
Having been to almost every karaoke joint in Flushing, I know that finding a place with a good list of English songs here is almost like trying to find a needle in a haystack. That being said, I first stepped into Place@Main during a karaoke competition rehearsal and found out they have karaoke rooms here. My karaoke friends and I decided to try it out, and boy were we not disappointed! I immediately fell in love when I saw all of the English songs I could possibly sing. Can this be true...tell me can this be real? And don't worry, my non-American friends, there are more than enough songs in your language to satisfy your appetite as well.
I've come back regularly over the last couple of years and have either gotten a room or sat by the bar. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. One time, I reserved a medium-sized room that could fit 10 people. By accident, they gave our reservation away to someone also named "Sue" and therefore had to give us a slightly smaller room, but we ended up having 15-20 people. We wanted to upgrade, but the bigger rooms weren't available. So, to make up for it, they let us keep the room and sing by the bar, whichever we choose. We did both. (Singing by the bar usually requires a drink purchase. We didn't need to.) I forgot if we had to pay for the remainder of the room, but at the end of the night, after singing for 6-7 hours, the 10 of us that remained only paid $35 each (that's including tax and tip).
Depending on which night you go, the bartenders are very chill and will chat and play games with you while you wait for your song to come up. The bar is also right next to a small lounge area with comfy sofas. All in all, this is a very hip place, and I am planning on getting the staff there to recognize my face within this month!
One of my favorite bars, hands down.
Rooftop terrace for a stog break. Some of the friendliest bartenders ever. And the rooms are impeccable. I've been to both the lounge area and had a karaoke room and both are great experiences. Their music is usually on point. And even though I didn't know how to read the remotes, they explained everything to me. Extremely simple. I always get great service whenever I go here. A gem tucked away in the corner of Flushing. And I love the crowd here. Definitely super chill.
I was at Queens during NYE. Yup, Queens. Who goes to Queens during a big night like NYE? Not many, so when I tell people that I was at Queens, they're like "Queens??!!" with a "what the hell are you doing there face".
But I don't give a hoot, because Place at Main was a good place to be for NYE. Â My friends and I didn't want to do the whole glamorous, sparkly NYE celebration, so we settled for this place. Chill, and was not obnoxious-laid back, and you don't have to worry about not having someone to kiss when the clock strikes 12.
The drinks were alright, but they can be a little weak. The thing I like about this place is that the bartenders were quite nice and generous when you ask them to put more alchy. They'll be glad to pour you some more. However, if you want Grey Goose as your liquor of choice instead of the crap they originally put, it'll cost you 2 bucks, which is not worth it. I guess they use crap liquor. However, you'll still get a buzz out of the drinks, if that's all you want.
The food here is not great, so you may want to steer clear of that.
Overall, I enjoyed my NYE here playing dice and hanging with some of my closest friends. I really had a good time, even though one my friends got super drunk and did not remember a thing.
After the countdown, two of my friends and I decided to head to the city to hit up a club. I guess the city will always be the place to be for any event. Â But if you want to have a relaxed time to just hang around without the city prices and craziness, Place at Main is your place when you're at Queens.
I would give this place maybe 3.5 stars.
A cute, tucked away little gem in the heart of downtown Flushing. Â We had just finished dinner at the next door Happy Family hotpot restaurant and thought we'd pop in for a few hours of karaoke. Â It was Saturday night around 9pm and the place was pretty dead -- I actually think we were the first customers in the door.
We got a "small" room that can comfortably fit about 8 people but we managed to squeeze in 10 people with no problem when unexpected guests arrived. Â The room is $50/night, which I guess is reasonable? Â I haven't gone to any of the other karaoke joints in Flushing lately so I really don't know what the norm is anymore. Â They supposedly really enforce the no smoking rule; our room even had an air purifier. Â It definitely didn't reek of smoke in our room, but you could smell smoke emanating from another room whenever we stepped out.
Their machines use remotes and are mostly in Chinese; since I can read some Chinese, this wasn't a huge issue for me but may be for non-Chinese reading people. Â They have a pretty decent song selection in both Chinese and English, maybe a month or so late but that's definitely pretty good.
Food and drinks are deducted from your room costs, with each beer at about $5/each so pretty typical in terms of costs.
There is a lounge/open area in the front with a bar and it seemed to be a pretty mixed crowd. Â There is also a huge open area with disco lights... I'm not really sure what it's used for and nobody used it while we were there.
The service was only mediocre; I mean, I've worked at karaoke bars in the past when I was much younger so I know how busy they can get but this place was definitely not full to capacity so there was no reason why we had to wait up to 20 minutes for someone to show up after pressing the service bell like 10 times.
In spite of that, it was nice to be in a place that wasn't crowded with the typical "I'm so cool" kiddie Asian crowd or the "I'm an OG gangster so don't give me a stare down" old Asian crowd.
I'm not really a fan of karaoke. I don't need to get up and sing my jaded little heart out but on the occasion that my friends do want to (and one happened to be celebrating his birthday), I suck it up and go. A party of 10 with a private room at $80/hr. The place had a really good setup with a bar and the private room having enough space for all of us. Drinks were standard, beer, milk, tea, coke, sprite, and what we preferred, JW Black and green tea. Messes you up bad. Alcohol was included in the private room charge unless you went over the allotted price of the room (i.e. book a room for 80/hr means you get $80 worth of drinks in that hour). Everything was thankfully accessible in English (for my non-Chinese reading self) with a pretty great selection of English songs and Chinese and Korean as well. One thing I will gripe about, HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE JOURNEY, DON'T STOP BELIEVING???? They also have dice to play so if you're one of those "I refuse to touch the mic regardless of how much alcohol I imbibe" kinda persons, just play dice and get messed up on some JB black and tea while listening to your friends mangle Jay Chow or Fin.K.L. or whoever. We had originally booked it for 2 hours with another party booking it after us, but the management were able to change it for us (putting the other party in another room) letting us stay longer. Points there. Another 2 hours later, we stumbled out into the streets and those sober enough drove the inebriated home. Good times.
Review Source:AVOID THIS PLACE! I have been here on a few separate occasions. Once was at the KTV place. The decor was ok, not the best. The service wasn't the best either. I guess maybe I was there on a busy night and the staff was overworked, but still..
On two separate occasions we had hosted a birthday party and an anniversary party. The birthday party was hosted about a year ago, and actually went alright. That was why we decided to come back. Apparently management has deteriorated terribly ever since. It was a TOTAL DISASTER. We had booked the private room from 6-10. When we had gotten there, the room was a complete mess and there were still people there. We had to scramble as fast as could to prepare decorations. The staff were like: "yea it's fine, don't worry about it". What the heck? What does that even mean?? To make things worse, we had also paid them to provide drinks (soda, beer, and wine). Now, since I was so busy that night, I barely had time to even eat anything. But at the end of the night, i realized the staff didn't even bring out any of the beer. The only thing that my guests had to drink were cheap soda and wine (which, coincidentally, we were missing a bottle of wine. When i complained, they were like "oh, sorry about that..."). When i asked the staff where the beer was, they brought it out from under the table where all the food was served. As if people were supposed to JUST KNOW it was there. So at the end of the night, im pretty upset, and so at least i want to take the cases of beer home. Guess what? The staff already took it all away. Turns out they we weren't allowed to take it with us. What i'm asking, is why I'm paying to rent a room, pay for drinks, and have them not serve any and then TAKE IT AWAY from us? Totally messed up. This place is either extremely cheap or corrupt - probably both. I'm pretty upset by this and i don't recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY!
I HATE Asian bars. No. Hate is such a strong word. I am not always obligated to think twice whether or not I want to spend my night in an Asian bar. However, much alike to other Asian bars, this has the similar cozy decor, but with mucho space-oh. The drinks are fairly cheap, the food is good, the music is modern, none of that all out Chinese karaoke garbage, blasting Leehom Wang, or Jay Chou mumbo jumbo. Singers that make my ears bleed, basically. Though, they do have a decent collection of several foreign songs if you want to sing your heart out. Do I really consider this an Asian bar? Not really. I suppose its just a bar, with private rooms, and a dance studio, that happens to be in Flushing. The crowd is mixed, which is also a plus, because if I spent a room filled with a bunch of Young and Dangerous, Fast Five, or Initial D speed demons, driving souped up 95 Honda Preludes, I'd kill myself by now. This bar has a small roof, and patios where you could sit. I would have jumped by now. Will I ever return here again? Maybe. Then again, I HATE Flushing, but this bar is stable. I'd come here again, not to sing, or to meet people, to drink, and get drunk. YEAHHHHHH BUDDY.
Review Source:Best KTV place in Flushing! A lot of karaoke joints in Flushing cater towards the large Chinese population, meaning English songs are hard to come by and outrageously outdated. I was disappointed by a lot of Flushing's selections- UNTIL I came to place@main! Their song list is the most updated by FAR, in English, Chinese, Korean, among other major Asian languages.
Their rooms are spacious and well-ventilated. With a group of 6, we had the medium room for $50/hr, food and drinks deducted up to that amount. Their song selections were so enormous we ended up staying for 2 hours. We grudgingly left at the end, even though the waitstaff said at that point in the night, it didn't matter if we stayed longer (it was 2AM). They are a bit pricey by Flushing standards (some medium rooms go for $25-30/hr), but for the updated song list and relatively clean decor, I'd say it's worth it.
For the most part, waitstaff was prompt and courteous. I was surprised to see they had two older waiters, possibly from Eastern Europe who didn't quite match the young, hipness of the place, but who cares? They did their job well and spoke English at a communicable level. The owner's son was also very courteous.
Only cons are the food and outside environment. It took a noticeably long time for the food to arrive, and when it did, one of the dishes was wrong. It was all good though, as the waitstaff apologized and replaced it right away. Â Although the bar and rooms are sleekly decorated, the entrance looks shady and deserted. The cracked acrylic door wedged between two closed gates is a bit hard to find. When we left (granted it was 2am) there was vomit right outside the door and a homeless person down the block.
Nonetheless, it was a great experience! This has become my favorite KTV place in Queens and I will definitely come back!
I love coming here!!!!!
Decor is great and very interesting. I was always served with medium size rooms no matter if I came with a group or with one other person. Except once when the owner lady gave us a small room when I came with a group and I was puzzled but then a guy offered us a medium room since it wasn't busy hour.
That lady owner is also the owner or part owner of the dancing studio next door.
I learned of this place when I was passing by and I found out a new karaoke bar opened up and I was so glad I came. Everything is new and pretty high ceilings. wide screens and WORKING MICS. Monsters will suck ass after you come here to place @ main.
I've been to over 5 different karaoke places here in Flushing. They're all old and disgusting. (Except for DIY) And people always violate the 'no smoking' rule. And i find people who smoke disgusting and the smell. (I'm talking about Monster.)
Anyway, their mediums rooms are wayyy roomy. If you have 3 people, the small room will just do. And their walls are mirror walls where you can see the other side but the other side can't see you. They have a ballroom studio where you can see people practice dancing. It would be a good idea if they promote their dance lessons by buying karaoke hours...just saying. There are video cameras inside the rooms. Which I do like, so it means they're keeping their eyes on things. Not that it inhibits you from dancing or anything like that anyway. Their couches are big and comfy leather couches so theyre easy to clean with some cushions.
Food is great, service is great. All in all it is a very interestingly designed space including the bar. and price is average range.
they also keep their songs updated.
it's that tiny door right next to the 99cent place. but don't be fooled by their shabby entrance.
Had my bday party here last month since another *unnamed venue* decided to overbook an hr before we were gonna place a downpayment.
Nonetheless shout-out to fellow yelper Linny F. for suggestion the place.
I have to be honest, I was very bummed the first place fell through and every year I try my hardest to not go to K bars anymore for bday parties (nothing wrong with them, but for 3yrs in a row I had them and needed a change). However 2 of my good friends made some calls and reserved the VIP room. Which surprisingly looks like the picture on the website (some places are soooo different- smaller and not as pretty).
For $100 an hr we got a nice big room with 2 flat screen tvs- awesome because you could sing in the front or the back. ($100 credit also goes towards the rooms snacks and drinks) Their English song selection was pretty updated, I'd say 1-2mos behind but overall better than most. My party had about 15-20 people and there was still plenty of room for more. We somewhat turned it into a club with plenty of dancing and singing. At one point we had a "congo-line" going through the room when "Vengaboys" came on~!
I think I will def give K bars another shot for parties ^_^
I insisted that since were were in Flushing, I wanted to experience true Asian style Karaoke. What was meant to o be a quick drink before we went home turned into three hours of the most fun I ever had.
As soon as we sat at the bar, the two girls and guy sitting already singing came over and asked me if I wanted to and showed me how to use the remote, There wasn't much English on it, but once she showed me I figured what buttons did what. The bartender talked to us and was really cool and nice. Rooms of people kept going in and coming out, everyone there looked to be having a good time.
A group staged a sing off with our new friend from the bar so we went in with her to see her 'battle'. The beers we had were REALLY good (one alittle more expensive, but the bartender did warn us before putting it on our tab) We ended up ordering a few appetizers as we were looking for a little something. They are all small bites very similar to what I would consider tapas. Whatever these were they tasted awesome.
Happily buzzed, and having sung my lungs out, we left both exclaiming THAT WAS SOO MUCH FUN, I CAN"T WAIT TO COME BACK.
Happy 1 year to place@main! (I wish we could change the business name to as it appears on the sign)
Last year, my friends celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas here. Given that at the time, we had pretty bad bill conflicts by the end of the nights, but that's behind us now. Place@main's management is constantly growing & improving. And now many birthday parties later, and even an UYE after-party here... it's time to review:
Songs & System: Song base updated DAILY, expect to find unusual oldies AND spankin' new jams up in here. Remote control system that sorts accurately by language/artists/titles. Song search made easy!
Rooms: Decor is definitely their forte. The waiting area & balcony is nothing like I've ever seen @ any other karaokes.
Smaller rooms are by the dance studio. They are comfortably decorated, temperature well-managed, and it's fun to watch ppl dance thru the double-sided mirrors =X
Medium rooms 1-3 are near the bar and decorated in a way that's more like an IKEA room display rather than karaoke rooms. The walls are vibrant colors, and couches & drapes used are quite tasteful.
Big rooms #56 (don't ask why the huge # jump, lol) & VIP are huge! Sure to be able to cater to your needs.
Bar & Food: Great selections! They got everything, and remember, you can order the same $amount as your room charge.
All the staff guys & girls are super nice. Find out about ladies night & happy hour (half off on wkdays)!
This place is pretty darn big and deceiving. Finding the entrance maybe a bit of trouble because the doorway is small and in between big metal gates of storefronts. When you go upstairs, voilà ! Unsuspecting bar/dance floor/karaoke/outdoor roof deck all in one!
I've only sat at the bar, the drinks are fairly cheap. They hired college kids to tend the bar so you might have to coach them. It's not too far from home for me and I know one of the bartenders so why not. For the versatility it offers in Flushing, it's not too shabby.
