  Its sad. I really wanted to like this place. I really did. But just as video killed the radio star, bad DJs kill the dance floor.
  
  Maybe it was because I wasn't at a Deadhead concert high on LSD, but the music was just horrid. Mixed mashed pop songs mixed to the point where the only way I could find the rhythm was by doing the Robot. Don't get me wrong, I love the Robot, but nothing kills a gay dance floor faster than people who look like extras from the set of Napoleon Dynamite.  
  
  The cover was only $5 and the $5 well drinks late Saturday night were a plus, considering I usually pay from $9-12 a well drink in NYC. My bartender was burly and pleasant and in general the place has a chill vibe with little shade. Don't get me wrong, everybody was reading, but they generally kept it to themselves (except in the bathroom, where the Library was in session!).
  
  I say the best thing that could happen to this space is if they sashay away the DJ, create a RuPaul or Scissor Sisters Pandora station and let the music play!

  what that with its proximity to demographically divergent fairfield, putnam, westchester, litchfield, and duchess counties, triangles draws a surreal combination of young, just-off-the-plane brazilians; established gay elders; children of "the ice storm"; prosperous guppies; hardscrabble bears; deep woods trannies; expat new yorkers; and closeted married guys (who generally work the louche parking lot rather than venturing inside). although the music often sucks, the multifarious crowd makes its own fun by drinking lots and striking up conversations. smokers and rhiana refugees will welcome the large, enclosed outdoor space, which is festive in warm weather. if you're looking for an unpretentious, low-maintenance kind of evening where everyone is welcomed, here it is.
