Tulip Noir Cafe

My mum and I came to Indianapolis for the day. A friend recommended this restaurant to us and it was amazing!  The owner and staff were really awesome. The owner herself even gave us recommendations on where else we should go while we were in town. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Indy!

Charming place for brunch, breakfast or lunch.  Creative menu of well-prepared foods, lovely, bright interior.  The staff was very friendly and efficient -- except for our server, who did not tell us the daily specials, spoke so softly we couldn't understand most of what was being said, failed to deliver part of our order and never ever checked back to see if we needed anything.  But still, I'd go back, because the food was excellent, and it was apparent that the other servers were terrific.

Felt like a little piece of new york.  It has that type of sleek, refined, and CRAMPED feeling to its decor. I ordered the egg omelet of some sort and it was pretty decent.  Went on a Sunday, waited for 20 minutes for a table and 30 minutes for food. The wait and anticipation may have made me a bit cranky. I am willing to go back and try again.
