great for the late night bite and beer ... music is always on and people hanging outside bar... good times ... mad props to Nick at the bar...

My lamb chops were pretty delicious but my escargot was just nasty, it tasted like salt balls. The place was empty and was kinda stinky. They get 1 star for the apple streudel another star for the mango sorbet and champagne intermezzo, and the last star for the lamb chops. The decor needs to go...quickly!! It was an extremely un-romantic nor cozy place. Eat and get the heck out!!

Where do I begin? The atmosphere and place seems more fit for the older population (70+). As a matter of fact, that's all you see; that shoul've been a red flag right from the start. We gave it a try anyway...big mistake. We were sat in a dark area by the wall, when there were maaaaany empty seats by the winows (not that there's a view or anything...just the back of other buildings). Our waitor was a male, and he was very unwelcoming. Anyway, we ordered the lobster bisque (terrible...very salty and it seemed as though it was soup from a bag). My fiance ordered the conch appetizer...very tough and the breading was extremely bland. We've had conch before in many other places, we know conch is tough, but this was rubber-tire tough. Then I ordered the grouper brittany and he ordered had already ordered the conche picata. To our surprise, the conch was actually even tougher than it was in the appetizer! It was inedible. It came on a bed of pasta which was over done so far that when my fiance tried to cut the conch, the pasta just became mashed, creamy pasta under it. Ugghhh. I LOVE grouper...but not the one from thi restaurant... $28 down the drain. It was SO salty and the vegetables on the side were like hospital food vegetables. The overall presentation reminded me of food served at a retirement home or an airplane. We were very dissapointed obviously. When we sent back the conch picata, the waitor still charged us for my fiance's house salad (because it's included only when you order an entree...but since we sent back the entree and were no longer paying for it, we would have to pay separately for th side salad because it had already been consumed). Terrible experience, never going back.

SERIOUSLY: if you want great seafood nearby, and be absolutely satified with the price, taste, and quality...go to Captain Jim's on WestDixie Hwy. I've been there so many times and have never been disappointed. I can't wait to go back and get this awful taste of overcooked conch and oversalted grouper out of my mouth.
